Excellent upgrade
Iโm so pleased with this! Iโd used a Brita filter for, well, forever, and I honestly was just really ignorant about different types of filters and what they even do. I moved up to New England a few years ago and the rental Iโm in is in a very old building that absolutely hasnโt been updated in most ways. I started looking into things like old plumbing in structures like this and boy, what a rabbit hole that was. I decided it would be best to upgrade my water filter so it would help eliminate the oh-so-many things in these very old pipes, and decided on this one because it was within my budget and seemed very effective. I love that itโs a glass container instead of plastic. Itโs a little smaller than my old one, but thatโs no big deal. Iโve gotten in the habit of filling it up a little at a time while doing other things in the kitchen. Is it slower than my Brita? Yep. Iโve seen other reviews complaining about it. But I donโt mind at all. Itโs a dual filtration system and that means yes, it takes a little longer. If anything, that just makes me feel even better about its efficacy. Iโm someone who sips on ice water all day and my kitties have a large fountain that I fill using this as well, so itโs put to great use! And I know it likely sounds crazy, but the water tastes better. Iโm sure some of it is psychological, which hey, fine lol. But it just tastes cleaner, crisp, and more like absolutely nothing. Itโs wonderful. Highly recommend! Edit to add: The bigger filter is an absolute PAIN to remove when cleaning/maintaining the pitcher regularly (and replacing the filter itself once a year or so). This part specifically would definitely benefit from a redesign. But still, overall, Iโm keeping my rating the same. Hope they reevaluate this one thing in future models.

Effective, tasty water -- an exceptional filter & pitcher
I love water. I hate plastic and China. So after a ton of research I found this product. Made in South Korea. The tap water pours into the filter, inside a hard plastic shell that sits atop the glass pitcher. Water passes through the filter and is stored into the glass pitcher. I only fill the pitcher up so the fresh, filtered water remains below the plastic shell insert (and hence, is not touching it.). When I pour a glass of filtered water, I add some tap water to the top of the filter area, and by the time I've finished that glass, there is new water ready to go. I store the pitcher in the fridge. I am in the seventh month of using this daily. Works perfectlya nd the water is super perfect with absolutely zero wierd taste. I have never changed any filter (yet... am here to purchase some bc I kept wondering when I need to do that!) The water is exquisite. In comparison -- sometimes I have filled my waterglass from the fridge with its own separate expensive water filter. And while that water tastes "OK," if I leave it on say my desk or countertop for a couple hours, and then go to drink it, I can taste the chlorine like I'm drinking water from the pool. So disgusting. The LifeStraw glass pitcher water poured into a glass tastes just as good hours later. Hence, I deduce that it is doing its job. So glad to be avoiding microplastics. I am going to buy a portable one now, too. Highly recommend. The company website and the Amazon site, however, are really annoying, constantly pushing the narrative that they give filters to African children. They don't need to stoop low and shill for a pat on the back from the woke libs. The filter and the glass pitcher speaks for itself and is an amazing product.

Lovely and different GLASS pitcher
This LifeStraw 7 cup pitcher is super streamlined and attractive! The water tastes cleaner! But it does have several design quirks that I hope will be fixed in future models. This is just so nice looking and feels much higher quality than the competition - we have mostly used Brita pitchers in the past and this feels much nicer in terms of materials. I was looking for a glass pitcher without any plastic, and could not find something that was completely plastic free, but at least the body of this one is glass, with a silicone outer (removable) base. The double filter is pretty cool and they say it removes microplastics plus lead and bacteria, which I have not seen in other filters! Nice. I was really excited about that and I can actually taste a pretty noticeable difference in the taste of this water vs a Brita lead reducing filter pitcher. The main downfall of this lovely pitcher is how unbelievably slow the filter is...the first use and then following 3-4 uses were painfully slow, it took literally all day to filter one batch (the first batch) of water (not a whole pitcher full, just one small reservoir full). I was shocked. This speed has improved, but is still really slow compared to the Brita. Like really slow. Another design flaw is the location of the handle - I love that it is glass, but the handle is up really high on the body of the pitcher and when you have this half full or more, the handle is hard to hold and the pitcher is hard to tilt because of the weight. Speaking of which, the weight of this pitcher will be a major challenge for some because of the glass--when it is full, it weighs over 8 lbs. The last thing to know / not great feature is that the reservoir that you fill to filter the water is so small (I totally understand why, design-wise, it could not really be any bigger) that you have to fill it up SO, so many times to get a full pitcher. My goal in buying this was to have one pitcher to use for the day for myself so I would know how much water I am drinking in a day and then fill it up at night. Well I don't have that much time on my hands at night to refill the reservoir so many times, since it also takes so long to filter. I'm including a picture of the pitcher when it is pretty full and with this amount of water, the entire thing weighs 7 lbs 9 oz. Another picture to show the size difference. Overall I am still happy with this purchase! Just wish the filter were faster and reservoir were larger.

Works OK, but too tall to fit in fridge, and the clean water still sits in contact with plastic
Well... I bought this pitcher because our city recently upped the amount of "disinfectant" it's putting into the tap water and even filtered through our PUR faucet mount filters, it was horrible to drink - like burning the back of my mouth horrible. (I'm super sensitive to this sort of thing - for reference I can't stand bottled water because it tastes like plastic to me, so take these comments with a grain of salt.) I did some research and discovered that our city uses chloramine instead of just chlorine - it's a combination of chlorine and ammonia and it's much more difficult to filter out. Apparently it needs much more time in contact with the carbon to get the stuff out, and since you can't run water through a faucet mount filter more than once, I got this pitcher to try to to make the filtered tap water palatable. So the way we're using this is that I take water filtered through the PUR filter and run it through this pitcher. If I run it through once, I can still taste the disinfectant a bit, but if I run it through twice it tastes clean. That may say more about chloramine and my sensitivity to it than it does about this pitcher though. The comments about the slowness of this thing are true. It has gotten a bit better now that I've run about a dozen cycles through it, but it still takes 15-20 minutes to filter one batch - one batch is NOT a full pitcher, it's more like 16 ounces. I mean, I guess the micro-filter makes it slow, so I'm willing to put up with that, but it's making it really difficult to filter enough water to cook. Plus, we have a cat with kidney disease, and he wasn't liking the horrible tasting water either, so we have to filter water to keep his water dishes full. I haven't managed to get the thing very full before we needed to use the water, and I actually don't plan to because here's the deal - while the pitcher itself is glass, the filter housing thing in the middle is plastic - so if you fill it with more than 16-20 ounces of water, your water is still going to be sitting in contact with plastic! I mean it's great that the filter removes micro-plastics, but I'm not sure what good it does if the water is just going to sit in contact with more plastic! I guess I foolishly assumed that the filter was housed in glass - wrong! This seems like a major design flaw for something that's marketed as a way to remove micro-plastics. And the final problem is that the thing is 11.5 inches tall, and the tallest our refrigerator shelves can accommodate is 11 inches. It won't fit in the door either - it's 6 inches in diameter at the bottom which is about half an inch too big to fit in the door. We might be able to re-arrange the shelves, but I'm not sure it's worth it as I think we'll probably be investigating other types of filtration/purification systems. Sooo... it works, I guess. At least I've found a way to make palatable water for the time being, but the many hassles involved with using this thing mean that it's unlikely to be a permanent solution. Or maybe the city will turn down the level of disinfectant soon and it will all be a moot point!

Clean Taste, Beautiful Design, and Worth the Slower Initial Filtering
I bought this LifeStraw Home water filter pitcher for my apartment during grad school since the water quality in my area isnโt the best, and Iโve been really happy with it overall. One of the main reasons I chose this was the glass pitcher. I like that it reduces the amount of plastic in contact with my water, and it just feels cleaner and more premium compared to typical plastic pitchers. The silicone base is also a nice touch since it helps prevent slipping and protects surfaces. The water tastes really good, noticeably cleaner and fresher compared to straight tap water. Itโs reassuring knowing that itโs designed to filter out a wide range of contaminants, which was a big priority for me. One thing to keep in mind is that the filtering process is a bit slow at first. The first few uses take longer to fill up, just like the instructions mention, but it does get better over time. Itโs not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of if youโre expecting instant results. Itโs also easy to use day-to-day, and the size is perfect for keeping in the fridge without taking up too much space. Overall, I think itโs a great upgrade from more common and popular water filter pitchers. It looks better, feels higher quality, and does a great job improving water taste and quality.

Clean, Safe Water in a Beautiful Glass Pitcher โ But Be Ready to Wait
Iโve been using the for a few weeks now, and overall, itโs a solid upgrade if you care about water quality and reducing plastic use. First, the filtration system is impressive. It goes beyond basic pitchers by removing not just chlorine and odors, but also heavy metals, microplastics, and even bacteria and parasites, which is rare for this type of product. The taste difference is noticeable right away, especially if your tap water has a strong smell or aftertaste. I also really appreciate the glass design. It feels much cleaner and safer compared to plastic pitchers, and it looks great on the counter. The silicone base is a nice touch for stability and protection. Now, letโs be honest about the downsides. The filtration process is slow. Youโll need some patience, especially if youโre used to faster pitchers. Maintenance is another thing to consider. The filters need regular replacement, and cleaning requires a bit more attention than simpler models. Overall, if your priority is cleaner, safer water and reducing exposure to contaminants, this pitcher is worth it. Just donโt expect speed or convenience to be its strongest features.

Working good and filters faster after it's primed
I almost did not get this because of some of the negative reviews about how slow it filters and how easy the insert or pitcher would break on you. It is slow in the beginning, but once the filters are primed and soaked it filters faster. Don't expect to filter water in like a minute or two to drink right away. Let it filter and do it's thing! I have a separate 2 gal ice tea glass container with a spigot that I empty the water into once it filters. The one thing I do is I don't push the filter insert all the way down as it is a bit hard to pull out. You need to sort of rock it back and forth while pulling on it to come out. Don't hold it with one hand over the counter or else it will pop out and you will hit the counter and break the glass! Sit on the rug or couch and slowly pull and rock it back and forth with both hands to pull it out. You may also want to try injecting some water around the rim to help loosen it up. Do not use a screw driver to pry it up! The glass container is quite large and I just have the insert sitting on the rim as I don't push it all the way down. That way it gives me a little extra room for the water to filter and fill up. Also I can pull it out easily and hold it while I empty the water into my 2 gal container without the water in the filter spilling out. Once I do that I just top off the water filter so it's going at full capacity. Every time I go to the kitchen I just keep topping off the water in the filter. I have a separate water pitcher in the fridge filled as well as my 2 gal glass container filled and the filtered water pitcher ready to empty. It's a good quality filter and glass pitcher. It's says it filters the microplastics which is one of the main reasons I got this brand. The main filter will last about a year and the good thing is that when it needs replacing it will just stop filtering water so you don't need to remember. Just have a replacement filter ready. The main filter replacement after a year did not seem too expensive for how long it lasts. I did see other brands that were cheaper, but I don't know about their quality and don't want to take a chance!

Pretty good water pitcher with a couple drawbacks
We switched from an older Zero Pitcher. This pitcher is pretty heavy and has a rubber bottom. The water tastes good and the two types of filter do a good job. The two things that I dont really like are the 1. Water needs to go in the lid that has a little flap that opens when you pour water in. It can spill off the side 2. The filter portion isn't very big so it takes multiple fills to get it 3/4 full *Update I have had this pitcher for a couple months and the water started to filter slower than usual. I figured this was an indicator to change the carbon filter. Swapped it out and works fine now. The instructions say that the large middle membrane filter is good for a year or two , not quite there yet

Quality construction, glass body and water quality.
Super happy with this water filter jug, it is a bit slow to filter but would rather that to have better quality water. Beautiful taste, soft and clean, zero normal tap water taste. Glass is the only way to go, only wish the filters weren't so expensive but again the water quality is top notch -I will REALLY know this after getting the water analyzed in a week time but am very happy so far). If it does actually remove micro plastics will be the big one for me (as it claims).

Niente filtri di ricambio
Non vendono i filtri al carbone di ricambio quindi diventa inutile.

No more micro-plastics :)
I love this. So much nicer drinking water when I know the bad stuff has been taken out, micro plastics particularly.

Very pleased with this sturdy jug
Very pleased with this double filter system that removes microplastics in addition to harmful chemicals and microbes. Nice tasting water too! A good option for those who donโt want or donโt have space for an under sink RO filter system.
