I just had new logs installed in my gas fireplace, large 3 level logs that require D batteries for operation. I had some otherD batteries on hand in using the fireplace it went through 6 batteries in a very short period of time. I was looking for a better option and found these on Amazon. I could not be more pleased, I installed the first two as soon as I received them and they are still working great. We have been very cold here so I have used the fireplace everyday and have not had to change the batteries. I will continue to buy these as long as they are available in the future,

These days I don't use alkaline D cells in our lithium ion battery world. But I still use two every hurricane season to power my generator fuel transfer pump. I cannot and will not use 5 Gallon Jerry Jugs on board safety funnels. The safety measures are over the top and lead to gas spills.So once a year, I put fresh D cells in my powered pump. These arrived with a battery freshness date years away. (Granted you cannot beat lithium primary batteries 10 year storage with a <10% a year diminishment level) But as far as alkaline primary batteries, these get the job done.
