Worked on my 2014 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI
This product cleared the CEL on my 2014 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI. When the mileage reached around 140K, the CEL came on intermittently for a few months, then it stayed on solid. I guessed the problem had to do with the emissions system, so I bought this product. I figured it was worth trying for $100 or so because I knew dealer service would be expensive. It took two bottles to clear the CEL. I spaced them 500 miles apart. After extinguishing, the CEL has not returned. Going forward, I plan to use the treatment every 4000 miles. As per the instructions, I emptied a complete bottle into a half-full fuel tank. Then I drove about 35 miles at low speed. Then, I added diesel fuel as normal.

Does what is says!
I started using this app uear ago when I had a DPF sensor issue. I replaced the sensor and have been using this every 5k since. This is what I have noticed. Quicker regeneration it takes have the time to complete a regen. Regeneration is less frequent and DPF indicator takes much longer to accumulate.. I know there's no real science behind my claims but it's hard to ignore . I used to have random exhaust codes too and those have stopped completely I get great MPGs and the 6.7 is always super smooth and quiet. This is just my observation in my situation but if your having regeneration and egr issues which we all know is common with these this rislone product has seemed to serve me well.

good dpf cleaner
good stuff, but not much useful unless your dpf is really clocked badly.

Worked For Me!!
2019 Silverado Duramax (Only 49k miles but out of time warranty) in limp mode reduced power, Check Engine Light On and Trouble Code P2002. Repair shop could not force re-gen or could clear the code, they quoted $3,600 to replace the DPF so I parked the truck until I could afford the repairs. In the meantime I saw a U-tube video talking about this Rislone DPF Cleaner and the success that people were having. I figured why not give it a try so I bought two bottles. I followed the simple instructions and completed the process twice for good measure and WALLAH!! Engine Check Light went off, Power was restored and I removed the code with a OBD2 scanner. Have over 200 miles now and no issues....I'm SOLD on this stuff, it sure worked for me .

An effective fix for clogged diesel particulate filter DPF
This is a good product to use to keep DPF (diesel particulate filter) clean and to clean a dirty DPF to eliminate the check engine light code. One treatment has kept the CEL from reoccurring for the last 2000 miles since I used it. I plan to treat every 5000 miles as a precaution to clean the DPF and fuel injectors.

Not sure about DPF cleaning ability. Increased mpg +1.
3-STARS This is a review on Rislone DPF Clean, Exhaust & Emissions System Cleaner, 16.9 oz. I am giving this product a 3-star review. This product did not decreased regen frequency from previous additive. This product produced same mileage numbers as previous additive. I noticed a slight increase in mpg of +1. I did not get any engine error codes while using this product. I used 1 bottle of Rislone DPF Clean, Exhaust & Emissions System Cleaner, 16.9 oz. I added the bottle to 8 gallons of fuel. No check engine lights came on. Vehicle showed no adverse affects from additive. Regen mileage interval with NO additives was 384 miles after receiving vehicle from repair shop. Mileage between regens decreased from 384 miles (baseline) to 323 miles. A product used 3 tanks before, dropped mileage interval below baseline mileage. This product gave my vehicle a decrease of 61 mileage between regen intervals compared to baseline numbers. I had previously used Liqui-Moly Diesel Purge 3 tanks prior to this product. Rislone DPF Clean, Exhaust & Emissions System Cleaner gained 0 miles over previously used Rislone Hy-Per Diesel, relating to regen mileage intervals. I'll base the review on increase of +1mpg. This product showed no improvement in regen interval length compared to other Rislone Hy-Per Diesel product. Regen period slightly shorter, but removed less soot. I did not notice any improvement in power. Driving Notes: 30 miles driven during regeneration cycle Soot down to 12 grams. EGTs = 556F temperature, normal highway driving EGTs = 692F temperature during regeneration cycle Injection quantity at idle at baseline=9mm Injection quantity at idle after Rislone DPF Clean, Exhaust & Emissions System Cleaner=8mm #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 #7 #8 Injector balance at baseline: -0.5, 0.1, -0.2, 0.9, -0.6, -0.1, 0.0, 0.4 Injector balance after additive: -0.6, -0.2,-0.3, 0.5, -0.9, -0.3, 0.4, 1.2 Less fuel being used at idle. Exactly same from previous additive. Regen down to 12 grams. No negative affects. My review is based on product efficiency, any damages to vehicle, check engine lights turning on or off, ability to clear engine codes (if my vehicle has any check engine lights), increase or decrease in mileage, and increase or decrease in regeneration mileage intervals. I will not use price as a factor. You will have determine if product is worth the cost. These products may or may not save you costly repairs or replacement. I cannot determine if these products can or will damage your vehicle. My vehicle has no check engine light or error codes. My vehicle is in good working order with no current issues during this review. My vehicle has over 200,000 miles. This is a stock vehicle, with a stock (OEM) factory tune installed. Just prior to this test, my truck was not performing a regen cycle. Repairs were done which included a new 9th injector, new DPF pressure monitor. The pressure monitor measures pressure before and after the DPF filter. The difference in pressure allow computer to estimate how much soot has accumulated in the DPF filter. A force regen was also performed on my vehicle and a passive regen performed before I received my vehicle from repair shop. Vehicle is performing as it should. Test drive is relatively the same and consistent. 49.5 miles one way, with a drive time of about 56 minutes. There is a gradual 1129 foot elevation gain one way and 1129 elevation loss the opposite way. There is some surface street driving, some freeway driving, and most of drive is highway. Hope this review helps. I will be writing more reviews on other diesel additives. I have some data from other additives for comparison listed below. Most products seemed to help and a couple seemed to worsened DPF performance during testing. You should not compare the towing data for comparison. I have just added it to show that towing will change data. Towing will increase exhaust gas temperatures and should make the DPF more effective. My regen mileage intervals increased, decreasing regen frequency, while towing. There are many factors that affect the DPF performance. The factors that I noticed (on my vehicle) are outside temperature, humidity, and EGTs. Lower temperatures decreased DPF performance. Higher humidity decreased DPF performance. Higher outside temperatures and lower humidity seem to increase DPF performance. Higher EGTs such as towing increased DPF performance. Did nothing go my truck
Waste of money, 2018 ford f250 , 125453 kilometres, 6.7 power stroke. Followed directions and it did absolutely nothing for my truck, engine light still on and no performance difference.
