A classic. Functional. Best Quality. You can't go wrong.
Just about the best Swiss Army Knife you can own. Everything is there. So many tools. There are specialty SAKs out there with forks, spoons, torx head screwdrivers, even marlin spikes or flash drives built in, but those are specialty tools. I have some. But the Swiss Champ has most of, if not more than, what you might need. The pliers for me are a huge plus. The only drawback is maybe the size, but not really. Fits in any pocket, but maybe a bit bulky for everyday carry, especially if you are wearing business or office attire. For that, I like the mini-champ. Victorinox quality is top-notch. You can rarely do better. If anything breaks, Victorinox provides a lifetime guarantee. You only have to pay shipping to the repair facility, not return shipping. Just make sure you buy from an authorized Victorinox dealer. On this knife, I had no issues with the magnifier, but on another model, the lens fell out and got lost. On that other knife, Victorinox replaced the magnifier with an older, smaller style magnifier at no charge. This one has the newer, larger lens, so maybe there will be an issue, so save the reciept.

Well made, very useful EDC tool
I received the previous generation of this Swiss Army knife from my Father in law as a gift. When I first received it my reaction was “this thing is way too big to carry, what the heck do I need with a tiny magnifying glass and minuscule ballpoint pen?” That version didn’t have the pliers. I decided I’d carry it since it was a thoughtful gift from a man I respect. I was wrong. It is a bit large. But it has been extremely useful, more so than almost any multi tool I’ve owned to date. I work on a lot of firearms, shoot, hunt, fish, wrench on cars/ equipment, welding, machining, as well as a lot of DIY type things and use this almost daily. The pen has come in handy more times than I thought and the magnifying glass is really great thing to have especially as my eyes age. Which is why I purchased this one, functionally my old model is almost perfect 10 or so years later. But my 4y.o. Sprayed it with brakleen wanting to clean daddy’s knife. Melted the magnifying glass and the scales. So I figured it was time for a newer model. I thought the pliers were silly, but honestly, if you use them in a manner appropriate for their size they have come in very handy and are quite stout. I really like the blue as that’s my favorite color. I carry it every single day even though it is a bit cumbersome. This model’s size would definitely be my limit. But it’s usefulness exceeds its dimensions. I would be lost without it and will buy yet another if I need to. But I get the feeling my son will inherit both of these when the time comes. If you find yourself encountering any screws, fasteners, string/rope, packaging materials, doodads or thingamajigs and are looking for a solid Jack of all trades master of none. It’s a great addition to your pocket.

Great deal on a great knife
Great color scales. Has everything. Like the pin under the corkscrew and an eyeglasses screwdriver in the corkscrew. Also the pen in the scales. Currently at a fantastic price. Two knife blades. A Philips head screwdriver. This one is loaded. The fish scaler and the package hook i would rather be a file and something else more useful. The Wagner style scissors and magnifier are better and the locking screwdriver, but those are nit picking. Wish it had a locking blade. As is this blue one is a best buy.

Impressive Tool Options & Bold Blue Case
Bought as a gift for my brother who's intrigued with survival and resides in a state with annual, routinely-challenging natural disasters. He was blown away, first with the bold, blue, semi-transparent case cover, and then with all the tool options enclosed. It was a terrific hit and a huge surprise! He's still having fun discovering its many tools and planning the various ways in which he can utilize them.

Excellent build quality Typical of Victorinox. All tools well. Great look in transparent blue.
Purchased this to replace my lost Victorinox. Knife arrived well packaged. Transparent Blue scales give it a high tech look, very nice. Will see if they hold up as well as classic red. Fit and Finish is what you would expect from Victorinox. Blades all straight, well made, Very sharp. Files also very sharp. All removable tools clean and straight. Not a scratch on anything. New magnifying glass design. Glass same size - Magnification strength is what you expect. Could even start an emergency fire. Not sure what the lens is - but the holding body is transparent polymer material. Weight and heft similar to past units. At least for me, its more comfortable in my belt pouch.

Pliers are like a joke
Superior product, very useful, best quality, life time guarantee. Can't go wrong. A little bit on the bulky side because it has so many tools but still fits in the pocket. Pliers are like a joke. That is the down side.

Fantastic gadget.
I'm so pleased to get another Swiss Champ - I lost the last one years ago, and quietly regretted it ever since This is one serious bit of kit that's built to last. Sure ,it's not super slim or super light , but that's not the point. Every part of it is incredibly well made and designed. - Swiss engineering at its finest. Every tool is easy to use and very well thought out. The fact it has 33 features in such a small package is incredible. I had considered getting the Handyman or Huntsman models, but in terms of usability and getting out of a pickle anywhere , the Swiss Champ is the one to go for. A lot of people mention that it's not small enough for a pocket , but I believe they're mistaken . How many multitools of this calibre can fit in a palm or pocket like this one?. I can't think of any . It's not heavy for what it is. Sure, it's bit big for an office shirt pocket. But being realistic, do you actually need to clip, saw and slice things at your desk most days? Probably not. Anyway, if you haven't got one already , get one. It's a great investment that'll last for years.
