I’ve used this in constant downpour in Malaysian jungles and my hammock stayed very dry. This is very easy to set up and protects from rain, and sun.

This tarp is great. It is easy to set up and folds down small. I use it with my Wise Owl double nest hammock. It kept the hammock and the ground underneath completely dry through two nights and one full day of rain when I used it last summer. I never go backpacking and I rely on the boy scouts in my family for knot-tying, but I was able to set up and tear down this tarp by myself when I camped alone for several nights on a road trip. If you're on the fence, it is SO worth it to buy this if you have a Wise Owl hammock. I wish I had invested in a Wise Owl mosquito net because I bought a cheap brand to save money and it's terrible.

I’ve been using this almost weekly the past few months with the Wise Owl double hammock and bug net. They work well together and I watched Wise Owl’s YouTube video on the Wisefly Rain Fly for instructions. The rain fly in the video was different as it’s a fuller coverage, square/rectangle shape whereas this one is diamond shaped. But if you’ve ever set-up a tent or understand how the square rain fly works, it’s pretty intuitive. I set it up easily myself a lot of times but it was a bit easier when someone else could help me center it over my hammock. By myself, I have to step back and make adjustments on both sides to make sure I aligned it to my hammock for best coverage.This has been great for creating a shade on sunny days, adding some privacy, blocking falling leaves, or protecting me during light showers. If it doesn’t rain much where you are or you don’t camp on stormy days, this would be perfect for you. There was a sudden storm during one camping trip and the wind was blowing some of the initial rainfall under the tarp. I had to lower the tarp closer to my hammock and tighten the ends closer to the hammock to prevent the heavy rain. A traditional square shape could have been better and it also could have provided more coverage for my things that were on the ground. The tent is opaque enough that I was able to privately change my clothes underneath it. It also helped dull down the little light I had on inside my hammock at night so my neighbors wont be disturbed.This is a LIGHTWEIGHT rain fly, so the diamond shape makes sense. It unpacks and folds up/fits right back into the bag easily. Disclaimer that I have my own tent stakes that I use, so I can’t speak on the quality of the 2 provided. I do wish that the center ropes were at least 1-2ft longer. The ones provided with the bug net are sooooo long, which is great if I only have really thick tree trunks available or there’s more distance between them. But since the rain fly’s ropes are much shorter than the bug nets’ ropes, I did struggle to secure them around thicker trees compared to the bug net. I haven’t seen another Wise Owl rain fly that offers fuller coverage, but it’s definitely something I’d be interested in.

It’s kept me dry in snow and rain, no tears and easy to set up :)

Tested it for the first time in the snow and it worked well, tested it later in the rain and it's good however it can be difficult to get it centered at first. The quick adjust straps make it so easy to adjust quickly

This Wise Owl Fly is extremely well made. Seams a well sewn, with no threads uncut. Tie downs very well reinforced. It was not big enough for its purpose. I have a 38 ft. sailboat where we like to cover the cockpit to get out of the sun and rain on long distance cruises. I purchased 2 and sewed them end to end after cutting off one end, with a felled seam. The seam has been treated with a liquid product to make it waterproof. This is the third Wise Owl Fly purchase for this project. It will be split down the middle and sewn down the sides at the cockpit end as a roll up side. I will be promoting Wise Owl Outfitters to the local sailing community in our area. When completed a picture will be uploaded.

Die Plane ist gut, stabil und wasserdicht, würde ich so empfehlen.Die angeblich hochwertigen Aluminium-Zeltnägel sind nicht zu gebrauchen und direkt bei der ersten Anwendung abgeknickt! (Davon abgesehen, dass 2 Stück in meiner Lieferung gefehlt haben)Die Seile haben bereits nach der 3. Anwendung angefangen sich an den Enden aufzulösen, sodass ich diese nun ebenfalls entsorgen kann.Eigentlich schade. Die Plane ist echt gut.

An amazing hammock fly! Put it to the test and it did its job beautifully!Rain, (not drizzle), and wind. I set it up with the wings low, and low on hammock to reduce that horizontal rain.When the rain eased, I pegged out one arm to give me a lovely awning...Perfect. I love the colour, its soft on the eyes when you're laying under it, not gaudy.I especially love that there is no need for a ridgeline. The tarp has a reinforced line. The ability to adjust tension from under the tarp is especially good, no getting sodden if need to adjust. Well made. Reinforced where needed.The owl logo is gorgeous, and it stuffs back into the stuff bag no problem at all!I am one very happy hammocker, super awesome lightweight too! I used a square of shade cloth under my setup so I didnt bring muck into my hammock from the ground. Happy, happy, happy.

While the quality is very good, there is a part missing there should be 6 ropes but we only received 5, I hope we can solve this problem.

An sich ein tolles tarp, aber ich habe es nun zweimal bestellt und beide Male statt der normalen Version mit vier Schnüren und geringen die ultraleicht-Variante erhalten, die nur zwei Abspannschnüre hat, sehr schade, nun hab ich keine Lust mehr auf den Act und bestelle mir was anderes …
