I discovered the Jessup makeup brushes by scrolling through Amazon one day and took a chance and bought them. Since then, I have bought numerous sets. They are a great price and well made. The bristles are soft and have density to hold on the product.

I am fairly new to the whole “follow an eyeshadow tutorial and hope for the best” phase of my life. I had previously purchased some e.l.f. brushes, but they didn’t have enough firmness for the application techniques I was trying to learn. These brushes were exactly what I needed and then some. There was a slight learning curve when it came to figuring out which brush worked best for each step, but I picked it up quickly. Once I did, my eyeshadow application became much easier. The bristle quality is excellent. They’re soft enough to feel comfortable on the eyelid while still being firm enough to place color exactly where you want it. That balance can be surprisingly difficult to find, especially at this price point. The handles also have a slight grip to them, which makes them easier to control during application. Another pleasant surprise was that there was absolutely no chemical or off-putting odor when I opened the package. I’ve been using these for almost a month and haven’t experienced any shedding. I haven’t washed them yet, but based on the quality so far, I expect them to hold up similarly to my Seint brushes. Would I buy them again? Absolutely. If you’re a beginner trying to improve your eyeshadow game or someone looking for brushes with a little more structure and precision, these are well worth considering.

I absolutely love these makeup brushes! They hold powder instead of flaking off and smearing where it shouldn't be... I also love the black brushes... colored cosmetics tend to stain, and the black has a better appearance after regular use.

No instructions as to which brush to use and when. But they do the job.
