Does the footmuff also suitable for the new born (bassinet) kit?

No for yo-yo model.. but if you buy the newborn kit, there is a proper footmuff in the kit.

Can this be used on other brand strollers?

If it fits, yes. It’s independent of the stroller seat. But if you will use on the YOYO, you will be able to strap it on correctly. Depends of the stroller brand, maybe you be able to strap too, but just to use as a wind/cold protection, I think it will works.
