Lee Ink Less Inch Finger Print Pad

This is very handy for taking fingerprints when you don't have a pre-inked pad available on the go. It is also fairly small, around the size of a match box so easily fits in a work bag, pocket or other cranny. Lee are pretty big in the US but not so much here, but it is clear that this is a quality product. I found that the "inkless" pad to be very good quality; having inked a finger, when you apply pressure to the paper around 95% of the residue ends up on the print. There is some left over on your finger, but that easily rubs off. This pad does not appear to stain the finger. Bottom line? Decent product, decent price, there isn't a great deal of competition to choose from so pick this one up while you can. (It's also cheaper on Amazon than going to certain forensic science webshops!)

Purchased for a science lesson with 10 year old children, to replace the brush and lightning powder we had been using. Almost completely clean, and the fingerprints are better quality than we were getting with the powder. Don't know how long it will last, but going strong after a couple of hundred prints, or so. I think the kids actually prefer the mess we were making with the powder, but that's kids for you. They were fascinated using this pad, and analysing their prints, so big win for me. Very happy

The pad produces very faint and indistinct fingerprints, yes not too messy but the fingerprints it makes are not clear enough.

Product was as described although somewhat over-priced. Thankfully it was a one off purchase and I won't need to buy again.
