Effective and easy to use , humane insect vacuum.
This is a very effective means of removing unwanted insects without harming them. The motor is not noisy but the vacuum os strong enough to catch the bug. Very easy to use and reaches hard to get to areas with the long extendable tube.

A Terrific Bit of Kit!!
I live in the country and get a lot of spiders and other insects coming in through the windows - particularly in the summer when they are open most of the time. I was really proficient using the glass and card method but this little spidey catcher is fantastic. The mesh is very fine so you can even catch tiny spiders without losing them through the holes as well as larger ones. The only disadvantage is that it is not rechargeable; other than that I just love it. It's so much easier than rushing for a glass and a bit of card and then trying to get in the right position for capture. I have never really used the extension tube but I do usually use the nozzle - even big spiders can be vacuumed up without injury. If you have to walk somewhere to let the beastie out you can use the cap which is provided, if you aren't scared of spiders you can just put your finger over the nozzle or you can just carry it vertically and tap the tube as required just to shake them down to the bottom again. Equally you can just give it a quick burst of vacuum to bring them back to the mesh. I have had no problem with the tubes being loose and I usually just check if the spiders are on or near the mesh and take the tube apart from the handle to let them out. If I'm upstairs I open the window wide enough to be able to hold the spider catcher away from the windowsill and just detach the tube from the handle and they drop down. It's really good for catching moths (without injury) which sit conveniently on a surface without moving or bees and wasps that don't move quickly on windows. If they could bring out the same item but with the ability to recharge the battery it would be amazing. I do think that it takes a little while to really get to know how to use it to the best of its ability but once you've got the hand of it then Bob's your uncle!! I did buy a rechargeable one - a different make - and it was total rubbish. I don't like spiders or other insects in the house and so I go round every night before bed, checking for spiders and ejecting them.

not bad
This isn't as powerful as it claims and definitely can't handle large spiders, so beware of that. It does work great for smaller ones (10p size or smaller) though.

Spider safe
If you need to move a spider without harming it then this is an excellent little hoover. We’ve used this for a number of years and recommend it

It works
The part which covers the battery section doesn't go back on when the battery is inserted unless you turn the battery upside down - terrible design, almost an afterthought. But it does work, it is tat, and for occasional use it should be OK

Must have!
I bought this kind of skeptical as to how good it would be, but it's fantastic. It's an absolute lifesaver, especially when spiders are concerned. So far I have caught 3 big flies and one medium spider with it.It comes with a nozzle attachment that is great for precision or corners. You must remove this piece before putting on the lid. You can also use it without the nozzle, which was how I caught the flies. This also makes it less of a faf as you can just pop the lid straight on.It goes together very easily, it all slides together and is very sturdy when assembled. It is also secure, meaning you can leave a bug in there for some time if necessary. The battery goes in the base and was the only slightly awkward thing about it. I had to dig around a little to find the 9V connectors. I had to be careful doing this as to not damage the connections.I do wish it was a bit cheaper, around £10-13. But after seeing it in action and how much it eases my mind, it's worth the near £15 price-tag.All in all it is a brilliant piece of kit for catching bugs. For the most part it eliminates the need for a cup and paper, and is also much easier. I would recommend this to everyone!

Poor quality/Motor failure
I bought two of these and the first one was faulty so I bought another shortly after. I used high quality Phillips batteries, only to be told by the seller that the product should be used with Duracell Plus or Energiser Max. However when the product arrived it came with a rubbish battery brand which didn’t last long, they definitely didn’t supply the brand’s recommended for use and this wasn’t detailed in the product description either. I don’t believe the fault to be with the batteries but more with the flimsy wiring inside and even after I replaced with brand new batteries it still doesn’t work! I wouldn’t waste your money buying this product. I bought one that was twice as much (over £20) and it works much better.
