Third time lucky :)
So now I have three - single earbud earphones that is. My quest and test for the best has revealed that this is it. So far anyway. Quick delivery, a dinky zip-up case for storage of bud and ancillary bits and bobs (important in avoiding rage induced when being unable to find the tiny thing down the back of the chair etc), and a couple of extra silicone buds to cater for the fact that not all ear-canals are the same size and shape. Decent set of instructions but it's easily sorted intuitively with a bit of fiddling about. The sound quality, given the size of the thing is pretty good, with good bass, as much volume as you need (controllable solely from connected device). A battery-charge of about an hour lasts about five and a half hours play-time. Voice warnings for 'power on', 'device connected', 'device disconnected', 'battery high', 'battery low' (five minutes to flat) and 'power off' are really useful. So to summarise: given that you get a selection of buds, a hard-case, a really neat magnetic USB charger/connector (+ one spare), this is for me the best yet. Last and by no means least, the thing weighs next to nothing (4gm) and has passed the 'shake your head' and 'sprint for the bus' test without falling out. A great bit of kit and comfortable enough for you not to realise you're even wearing it. Highly recommended. PS: The phone facility works OK - not brilliant, but given that it's in your ear and the mic is integral it's OK, and at least you're made aware that you've got an incoming text or call even when there's a lot of extraneous noise. Just push the button (there's only one) to answer and once again to terminate, but be aware that if you click it twice then it's going to re-dial your last call. Highly recommended.

Great item at a great price...
I don't do reviews unless I'm particularly impressed with a product but in this case I am very happy to recommend this to anyone thinking about a bluetooth earpiece. It performs well, has a decent sound quality, stays in place and is comfortable. The magnetic charging dock works a treat - I wish other device manufacturers would come up with similar ideas! For my own part, I use it mainly for listening to talks or music when in bed and I have found its small profile ideal for the purpose. In this mode, I've found that using the lowest volume setting is adequate and this has resulted in up to 6 hours playing time, which I think is pretty impressive! My car has integrated bluetooth so I don't need the hands-free phone application as a general rule: I've only tried it a couple of times for this purpose and it seemed to be quite adequate. So in summary, if you're thinking about buying yourself a bluetooth earpiece, I would highly recommend this one. It represents great value-for-money, is easy to use and I don't believe you'll find better😊

Can't go wrong at the price.
Good piece of kit. Almost invisible in my ear. Easy enough to pair & operate. I suppose the microphone could be a bit better. Occasionally people miss what I'm saying. Headphone sound is fine for conversations. It's not hi fidelity, heck it's not even stereo! For hands-free conversations, it's the business.

Works perfectly a great bit of Kit! ...
An excellent bit of kit great sounds and works perfectly. I watch films on my phone and tablet (Android) connection no problem. I edited this review as its now connected to my 2011 MacBook earlier I said it wouldn't connect to it so even better now. I just pressed the button a bit longer on the GoNovate G8 and it worked so now all my devices are connected. Inside the box comes with full instructions 2 x USB chargers inside the hard shell carry case with a a Zip to open/close and the GoNovate G8 of course all very High Quality. Small in size but Big in reception/sound no issues here at all. And when a call comes in on my phone I just press the button while its in my ear to receive the call again no issues. And again if you get interrupted just push the button once to pause your film then press again again to continue all with good voice instructions. Summing up it works great its comfortable in my ear, either ear it works and feels good doesn't fall out at all. If your thinking of buying one I recommend it ...

Great little bluetooth earbud, but has its quirks
I bought this unit to both keep me entertained, and to listen to google maps directions from my smartphone, while riding my motorbike. It meets that requirement quite well. However, every time I pull my helmet on, it changes position in my ear, and I have to struggle to get it back into position. It also always drops out of my ear when I pull my helmet off. Not show stoppers, but still something to be wary of. The other quirk is that every time I switch the unit on and it auto connects to my android phone, the media streaming capability does not work until I manually disconnect and reconnect the bluetooth connection from the phone settings. A bit annoying, but it becomes routine quickly. Lastly, with the flexible charger, while the magnet attracts the earbud, the two connection pins do not make contact on the earbud (see attached picture), and I have to use a rubberband. I think this is a manufacturing issue with the charger unit, as I don't have this issue with the fixed charger meant for use in the car. I will write to GoNovate for a replacement.

Total waste of money.
Useless Product, pretty waste of money. You can't use it outside as it is not audible and sound is very low, speaker is crappy and others can't understand what you say during conversation.

Great piece of kit....
I don't usually leave reviews but I have been very impressed by this little piece of equipment. This is now the 2nd bluetooth ear bud Ive had. The 1st one was a waste of time and money so was not too optimistic when this one arrived. However it has proved me wrong. It fits nicely in ear sometimes I forget I'm wearing it. Doesn't fall out. Comes with 3 buds for different size ears. Sound quality very good. Connects to phone bluetooth and you can listen to music or make calls. I can hear the caller and they can hear me with no problems so far. It also comes with 2 usb chargers. Cool feature is they are magnetic charges so the ear bud fits into them with no fuss. 1 of the the chargers is to use in the car. Item was well packaged and it comes in a small carry case so everything is stored in one place. So far so good from one very satisfied customer.

The more I use it, the less impressed I am.
This has been a most disappointing purchase. I bought it to replace my broken Jabra, with which I was very happy. Most of the previous reviews for this appeared so promising, but my experience has been far less positive. In its favour is that it is small and unobtrusive. But that is about the limit of my favourable comments. The first thing that I noticed that I didn't like is that the button is in the wrong place - it is partially covered by my ear. Maybe my ears are unusual but it would be far better for me if the button were at the other end. When I first used it, in a quiet environment, I immediately realised that the sound was not nearly as good as my poor, late Jabra; what I was hearing was more "closed in", less clear, and people that I was calling noticed the same. But, once I used it in less that ideal situations it became pretty-much useless. When driving on the motorway, with some resultant cabin noise, people I was calling sometimes struggled to hear what I was saying and when walking round the shops it was even more difficult for them to hear me - calls tend to get abandoned; the noise-cancelling processes don't seem to be very good and certainly not nearly as good as my Jabra. In ideal environments it's just about adequate. At other times it's all-but useless.

Nice fit , good for call , sound quality is clear and loud.
this product fits well in the ear , is easy to charge when not using just attach it to the magnetic charger and it starts charging without getting disconnected. Easy to use for call when you are busy working.

A Tiny Bluetooth Earbud with Good Range & Wireless Charging
This little bluetooth earbud is pretty much everything I want. It is very light, very small, has exceptional battery life, is easy to charge, can connect with multiple devices at once, switching between them on the fly, and doesn't hurt your ear because it is held in only by the rubber bud. PROS: Extremely Small Good Bluetooth Range Loud Long Battery Life (4+ Hours Easily) Wireless Charging (sort of) Two USB Chargers Connects with Multiple Devices CONS: Sub-par Sound Quality Can Fall Out of Ear Honestly, there is little more that I would want from this earbud. Does it fall out of your ear sometimes like others have been complaining? Yes, if you are walking or running, you'll probably have to push it back in with some frequency. That doesn't mean it comes flying out unexpectedly, it just shakes loose, just like most other earbuds, and that's why some designs have rubber attachments that wrap around your ears. However, I didn't buy that model, I bought this one, and having to push the bud back in from time-to-time is far less annoying than having to strap on a crazy hearing-aid style wrap-around, personally. Also, since it comes with three different sized rubber earbuds, it is moderately customizable to your ear. The "wireless charging" is awesome. How it works is the little USB chargers have two prongs in the center of an indentation that has a magnet behind it. The earbud sticks to the magnet and slides onto the prongs. If you practiced, you probably could throw it at the charger and have it start charging. I really can't stress how simple it is to attach, it's mildly magical. The magnet latches on and about a second later, the blue LED on the earbud turns and you know it is charging. Pairing it with a bluetooth device is simple: When the earbud is off, hold down the button for about 5 seconds. At about second 3 you'll hear a slightly accented voice say "Device On" and then at second 5 it says "Device Ready to Pair" (I may be paraphrasing here). At that point you need to tell your bluetooth source (be it your phone, or your laptop, GPS, car, whatever) to start searching for a bluetooth device, and it should find a GoNovate G8 and then pair up after about 5 seconds or so. Then the voice will say "Device Connected" and you may even see the G8's power bar on your bluetooth source's screen. I can confirm it does this with the iPhone 5s, but does not with the MacBook Pro, for whatever reason. You can have the G8 paired with multiple devices and run them simultaneously. HOWEVER: It will play audio from only ONE at a time. So you could be listening to music played by your computer, that would be interrupted when your phone gets a call, for example. Not as cool as playing both at the same time, but still useful. Basic operation of the G8 is pretty simple: Hold down the little button for 3 seconds to turn it, listening for the voice prompt. You can pause or play music by clicking the button briefly. You can answer calls by clicking the button, or deny them by holding the button for 2 seconds. Plus, like starting it, you shut it down by holding down the button for 3 seconds. That's it. Just 1 button with different hold times, and everything is identified using voice prompts. MY ONLY NEGATIVES: Firstly: The sound quality isn't great on this thing. I would describe it as a bit "muddy", with a lot of different tones bleeding into each other. High notes are reasonably crisp, but voices and anything pushing into the bass ranges tend to lose distinction. Personally, I use the G8 to listen to podcasts, which don't require great sound quality. Everything is easy to hear and understand, but you aren't going to want to listen to complicated orchestral pieces on it. The G8 is designed for convenience and portability, and at $18, it is really cheap. It's not exactly a surprise that it can't match my over-the-ear, Sony Studio Monitor Headphones. What is crazy about modern technology isn't that the G8 isn't as far away from those Sony's as the price would indicate. It's no masterpiece for sound quality, but it is sufficient, and that's a long, long ways away from cheap headphones of twenty-years ago, or even ten, or possible even five-years ago. Secondly: The original shipment arrived with a Flexible USB charger, and a non-adjustable Car USB charger. The Car USB charger worked perfectly, the Flexible USB Charger didn't fit the G8. So I contacted the seller and the immediately shipped me a second Car USB charger, which also works perfectly. I don't know if this is the case for all of the Flexible USB Chargers, but I must commend the seller (in this case: Ken from GoNovate) for rapidly responding and correcting the issue by providing a second Car USB charger for free. Now I have two chargers, as advertised, and they both charge the earbud perfectly. CONCLUSION: It is cheap. Its battery lasts a long time. It is very easy to use and setup. It doesn't hurt your ear. Charging it is very easy. It is cheap. The sound quality is good enough to not be annoying. It can be used by multiple devices. Plus: It is really quite cheap.

TOP-Teil
