Will these stretch to slide over wide bows?

No the would not for me but mine were 3/4" wide. But I was able to take off the arms and put back on with the tightened on. It was slightly difficult but I am very happy withe the result.

What is the inside diameter of these frame rings?

Let me say this about that: while they are small, they are nevertheless still too large for the arms of some thin framed reading glasses and, as a result, they do not stay securely at the hinges.

They might work on a wide arm. They worked great on my glasses but the widest part is only about 1/2". They do stretch and might be worth a try as they do stretch and make a world of difference in tightening them up so they don't slip down your face.

Will these keep the hinge screws from becoming loose ?

Not on my glasses; don't think it would on any glasses because they don't cover the screws but I guess it depends on what style glasses you have.
