This is a great kayak for one or two people.
My husband and I live on a pond. We already own a single and a double kayak, but I wanted to buy this one because those are not inflatable and they are kind of heavy for me to lift. This one was sturdy and still a bit heavy, but not flimsy. We can inflate it and I can go kayaking on my own, which I love, or we can kayak together. We both fit very comfortably and don't feel there is any risk of capsizing. It feels quite stable in the water and now, we can travel to other ponds and lakes and not have to worry about how to transport or carry our other kayaks. No issues with trackability, the kayak steers well and doesn't veer off in all directions. Highly recommend. I will say that while the included pump works REALLY well inflating the kayak quickly, it is hard on the back. I wish they had designed it with more height, (and I'm only 5'2", so I can't imagine how tough it is for a tall person.) I actually purchased a separate foot pump just to give my back a break. The foot pump takes much longer to inflate though.

Awesome. Recommend
It was a little hard to fold it back up but this kayak is absolutely awesome. My son and I felt secure in it and didnโt wobble. We were comfortable and it glides really nice

Great if you want inflatable.
My daughter lives in the Hudson River valley. It was a present she specifically asked for for a double holiday. She loves it. Fits in her car. Itโs very heavy, so Be prepared.

Not a pool toy, sturdy build, tracks well, easy to air up and stores well in the included bag.
Had this on my Wish List for over a year and the price dropped (model discontinued) to over half of its original listing price, so glad I waited. Very well built, tracks well, easy to air up and stores well in the included bag.

Works good so far for a couple of 70 year olds
Very easy to set up even considering the double action hand pump. Fairly easy to deflate. A little tricky to fold and get back in the bag. The footrest divider needs a proper strap to hold it in place. Velcro useless first time your feet push on it. Have used 3 times so far. Suggest placing towel between your knees to soak up water dripping off the paddles. Time will tell if the plastic will not eventually crack due to the folding. You have to pay attention to where the rigid parts of the keel are when folding up for storage. With two adults and one in rear paddling the kayak is fairly manouverable and once moving is easily kept moving. Also, it would be good if there was a way to strap the seat bottom in place which would then allow the backrest straps more effective.

Durable and great product
What a great product! It's rigid, it's strong, it's durable, and it's easy to deflate and store when you are done using it. Also, we strapped it to the roof racks and it rode well, we suggest you flip it upside down for the best ride (as the fin in the back may scratch your roof). Happy we purchased this model!

Honest review
The kayak deflates after about an hour in the water, and the seats tend to lean back over time.

Best of both worlds
Boat design is a good balance between portability, ease of set up, storage, and ability to track on a steady course. Have used it 7 times in the last 2 months, mostly in the north and south SF Bay, with trips in Half Moon Bay and Tomales Bay too. Chose a tandem so I could introduce my partner to boating in a way that reduces her water anxiety yet is fun for me too, and it has been successful on both fronts. Beyond that, my biggest concern was the ability to track the boat on a course given the winds, tides, and wind chop that all of the places above see. *** Added a backbone kit, per other reviews, and that may have been the magic ingredient. *** Have not seen the need to add a rudder. Recommend getting a fold up cart which makes a world of difference in getting it to/from the put-in spot. Sufficiently comfortable for 2+ hour trips. Takes a full day to dry out before storage.
