Nice solid fish poacher with plenty of room for a whole salmon. Can be used on the hob or in the oven and has a handy slotted tray inside so you can lift out the fish easily and drain it without it breaking up. I used it to poach a side of salmon for the table on Boxing Day. I'm knocking off one star because I do think it's a bit expensive - it's a decent enough product but not quite enough to justify this price.

This fish steamer is very good quality stainless steel so easy to clean. It cooks fish beautifully. It can be used in the oven or on the hob.I'd recommend it highly.

Excellent, does the job, good quality. We used it in the oven - good size for a large salmon such as when catering for a large group - in our case 16 people.

It was far to big for my oven

This fish kettle is the ideal size to cook a whole fish for a family, it fits the standard domestic stove top. I use it on a an induction hob (flat glass top) and it works very well. If there is a down side it is this the metal of the base is quite thin which MAY over time warp a little but to get one with a thick copper sandwiched base you will have to pay a lot more so if you only cook whole fish occasionally this is for you. Dependent on size of fish steak it will take 6-8 steaks comfortably. I'd recommend it. If your spouse/partner is a budding chef this would make a nice gift.

I have never cooked a whole salmon before(!) but this was what I chose for my Boxing Day menu. I read up on various cooking methods and decided to poach it in a wine and wine vinegar recipe. I'm very glad I did. The fish only took 20 minutes to cook on the hob, with two burners set at low, and it was easy to remove from the kettle and serve straight away. It was deliciously moist and full of flavour and my guests asked when they could come again for a repeat meal. I look forward to poaching other types of fish it. I have been converted from baking and would highly recommend this kettle.

Au vu du prix, je ne m'attendais pas à cette qualité. L'ensemble est solide et résistant, et d'un inox de bonne qualité alimentaire. Bonne diffusion de la chaleur même en utilisant deux feu. Contenance 3,5 litres de court bouillon et 2 poissons. La taille est parfaite pour 1 à 2 poissons de 45 cm, voir un peu plus en pliant la queue. Un bon compromis, qui dispense de sortir la grande goujonnière de 80 cm des parents ! Je vous recommande ce produit. bp
