Beautiful piece for the counter. I love this butter holder. Butter is always soft. Holds one stick (US) perfect.

Having been raised by a health teacher, I was pretty weirded out by my grandmother's keeping butter out on the counter. On the other hand, I hate not having soft butter when I need it. So I gave this a shot and it worked out beautifully! I only put in one stick at a time, since I don't use a ton of butter, but with water changes every other day, it held up for the week and a half it took me to use it.

Only giving 1 star so I can leave a comment. Please please do not purchase anything from the seller. I was not happy with the way the butter tasted after leaving it in the crock. I’ve always left my butter out on the counter and it’s tasted fine, but leaving it in this water for some reason, just didn’t taste good to me. So I sent the product back via UPS with the label that the shipper provided me. Somehow the package got lost never made it back to the seller. I have proof of dropping the package off ups they still will not refund my purchase amount because the package was lost apparently. Just trying to warn people this is a third-party seller that is not living up to Amazon standards. Beware.

Beautiful piece of kitchenware. Make sure you pack in the butter if you're a newbie to butter bells, it'll fall out into the water if you don't pack it in. Not sure why Amazon won't let me leave seller feedback but Everything Kitchens packages these really well to keep them safe.

I have seen the light! No longer am I a caveman, messily smashing a cold, lifeless stick of butter on my toast and potatoes! Here's what I like: Pros: 1.) Sturdy, cool ceramic design ensures there is a hard, loving shell wrapped around my precious butter wand. 2.) Small cup with room for cool water makes an air tight seal around the butter, making a moat of sorts to defend the butter castle! 3.) Not made in China, so there's no real worry about lead based paint. 4.) WIDE base on top of the bell makes a nice, sturdy stand when extracting the delicious butter. 5.) Bell is large enough to hold one full stick of butter realistically. You could smash a bit more in there but you run the risk of wet butter and a bit of a mess! 6.) Butter last's much longer than expected! I've left my butter in that crock for about two weeks before I finished it (changing the water out every 2 to 3 days) and it was perfectly safe and tasty! Tastes just like day one! Cons: 1.) I just wish it was a LITTLE bit bigger. I have had zero problems with this butter crock! This is a top notch butter crock and if you're tired of using "tub butter" or if you've been eating...margarine...make the investment in not only your health, but saving money over time on butter! I figure that I can either buy a small tub of butter which is around $4.00 around my area, or I can buy an equal amount of stick butter for around $2.00 and over time, the money I save on butter will surpass the amount I've spent on this bell crock. If you've read this far, just buy the crock already, you won't regret this one!

I just received the item. It was packed well and arrived in perfect condition. The only issue is that this crock has no fill line marking. The was the primary reason I had chosen to spend more on this crock that a competitor.

思ってたよりも大きく重さもありましたが、 写真通り色が可愛くて気に入りました。 ただ、私の地域は冬の朝は寒く、これを使って常温でも固かったのは予想外でしたが(笑) それでも冷蔵庫から取り出すよりは早く滑らかにパンの上でバターが溶けてくれたので、買って良かったと思います。春になるともっと柔らかにバターナイフが入ってくれる事を期待します(笑)

Absolutely the best way to keep butter soft and fresh. It's overpriced because it's Le Creuset and you don't really need coated cast iron for this application but the design is great and I wanted it to match the other stuff I had.
