Bushido Kodo Instant Coffee 3.35oz/95g

Writing this as a comparison to other popular japanese style instant coffees I have tried. Its good value for what you are getting, its high quality coffee without the bitter burnt aftertaste. UCC is probably still my all time favorite brand but I would put Bushido at a close second.

Love rich taste , I like flavor of this coffee. The only thing I would love to have bigger size for this price 😍. Its instant coffee but in morning it helps me to start mu day. Not too strong I would say medium roast flavor.

This coffee was not to my palate. I enjoy instant coffee, and when I saw this one, which says "Japan Best Quality", I was intrigued. I was anticipating a very high end instant coffee. This, however, is not actually a Japanese coffee. The label says it is manufactured in Switzerland for a Swiss company. I am unclear on the Japan connection, other than perhaps a sales gimmick (it worked on me). It is also not entirely instant coffee. The first sip I noticed this powdery quality to it, like a cup of French press coffee made with grounds that were milled too finely. When I looked at the label I was surprised to see that it was 80% instant coffee and 20% roasted, ground coffee. If you like coffee with a lot of fines in it you might actually enjoy this. I found it irritated my stomach, more so than even regular coffee oddly enough. I also find the flavor a little flat compared to some other brands, and this one is on the expensive side. Disappointing overall.
