Decimated Carpet Beetles within a day
I bought this spray for a client of mine who I'm personal assistant for. He'd been neglecting his flat for years and there was a lot of deep cleaning to be done.I'd never even heard of carpet beetles until I found a bunch of them, creeping and crawling around the window of his living room and he said he'd been bitten by something in his day bed. Gross!I did a little research and discovered what they were, so immediately looked for a solution that could be used which wouldn't cause respiratory issues. This spray looked ideal, so I gave it a try. It's not cheap but it's honestly worth every penny. Within a day, all the beetles were dead and I haven't seen a single one since. This is also very easy to use, just give the areas a light misting and leave it. I gave it 48 hours before vacuuming, just to be sure everything was dead! It doesn't leave a nasty chemical scent like flea spray might. So far, so good!

No Smell
Had only spotted a few suspected carpet beetles but anything creeping indoors gives me the 'heebie jeebies', so decided to go for prevention rather than cure. Delighted to find there was no smell associated with the spray. Found it tended to jet rather than spray at first. I haven't gone round the whole floor area but aimed at edges of carpets, doorways and usually fairly inaccessible areas like behind heavy cabinets. Wasn't clear whether 'lasts 3 months' means any beetle crossing the area for the next three months would be doomed or whether an obviously infected area so treated would be Ok for that length of time. However haven't spotted any since I applied so fingers crossed. Keeping it handy 'in case' and keeping my eyes peeled.

Good but doesn’t offer long term protection
I got this spray to help kill the carpet beetles as I was finding about 5-6 a day as well as cocoons. My flat unfortunately has a carpeted ceiling and walls but the flooring is wood. The spray was good enough to cover the walls so of a 17m2 room but not the ceiling. As for effectiveness, for the first two weeks, I wasn’t finding any signs of these beetles but when the third week rolled around, I started finding about one a day. After a month, I’m finding about three a day. I wouldn’t say it gives the three month protection the company says but it does work in the short term. You will need to do multiple rounds of the spray to make any real difference if you have an infestation like I do. The smell isn't strong but it does cause allergy like symptoms even if you can’t smell it so do leave the room to air out for at least a day after spraying. The price is a little steep given that you need to buy multiple bottles to stop it all together. The nozzle leaks when you press it and it does get all over your hands. I’ve bought two bottles so far and they both have this issue. The spray doesn’t stain which is good news!

Seems to have worked so far
Initially I had only seen these tiny black beetles on the vinyl flooring in my kitchen and bathroom and didn't know what they were. By the time I discovered they were also in the carpets and that they were actually black carpet beetles, it was late in their season. I've not seen any larvae or eggs and wasn't able to find where they were nesting. However, I sprayed this on all of the carpets etc. and it definitely killed the beetles virtually straight away.It was easy to use and smells okay. I don't know whether it actually works on the larvae or eggs, as claimed, and probably won't find that out until Spring. Anyway it seems to have worked so far and I'm enjoying being beetle free.If they come back in the Spring, I'll be ready and waiting.
