Great product, but has quirks in my usage
If you just want bulbs that you can adjust the brightness and colour of, these are perfect. The associated Tapo app is super easy to use and lets you group bulbs together so you can control them simultaneously. It also has a cool “auto match” feature which roughly matches the natural shades of sunrise, daylight and sunset to help your circadian rhythm (basically helps you sleep naturally). An important thing to note is that I am NOT using these with a smart switch - i.e when I flip the switch on the wall the power is cut and they disconnect from the network. If you plan on doing the same, just know that sometimes the bulbs will have the wrong color/warmth for the first few seconds after switching them on because it takes a couple seconds for them to connect to your WiFi. This really is only a second or two and doesn’t happen all the time. I use these bulbs in conjunction with a Google Nest Hub, specifically the “sunrise alarm” feature which will slowly increase the brightness of your lights when your wake-up alarm goes off so you wake up naturally. Somewhere along the line this can go wonky - some of the bulbs will get stuck at different brightnesses rather than all fading in together. I am fairly sure this is Googles fault, as the Tapo app has no such syncing issues, and my WiFi is certainly not an issue. Recommend? Yes - the two issues I mentioned above are not the fault of this product, but I feel they are important to know. I was expecting to have more problems considering how much cheaper these are than brands like Hue, but the bulbs themselves are brilliant.

Awesome smart lamps
My whole house has Tapo lights, and with these on an Amazon sale, I couldn't resist updating my kitchen spotlights to Tapo. They work great, they're pretty easy to set up with the app (although it's a little inconvenient doing four of these, it takes a bit of time!). They're reliable, very bright and the colours are very vivid and fun! My only annoyance with these was trying to set them up with Google Home, so that my partner could interact with them without an app (you can share smart plug access with the Tapo app, though, which is nice!). If the lights are already on, and you turn them to a different colour via Google Home, you'll get a bunch of messages back through the Google puck telling you "the light is already on". I just stopped using this integration, the app control is fantastic though. Maybe the Alexa control is better.

Very good smart bulbs...But a bit laggy
A real positive I find with Tapo products is how easy they are to setup. I have a few different brands of smart bulbs, but Tapo are hands down the easiest to set up and use. Disregarding the "Smart" aspect for a minute. The actual bulbs are extremely flexible, a wide range of colours and dimming capabilities. I've only started using the Tapo Wi-Fi GU10 LED Bulbs so I can't comment on longevity yet, but my other Tapo bulbs are lasting well as you would expect. Now onto the smart aspects of the bulb...As I mentioned, setup using the Tapo app is very easy and stress free. I've linked them to Alexa and again this process was very easy with no issues. The only problem I have is very often (more 50% I'd guess) when I tell Alexa to turn on these bulbs, there is a significant lag until the bulb turns on. The lag can be anything from a few seconds to ~1 minute. 1st world problems but 1 minute in the dark waiting to see if the bulb will turn on is not that convenient. I have 3 Ultrabrite bulbs (a fraction of the cost of the Tapo ones) in the sitting room and I don't see any delay with those. It's hard to pin this just on the Tapo Bulb because the router that I have could be contributing to the lag (although other bulbs seem to work fine). Anyway, overall these are good bulbs but I have to admit the "Lagyness" is annoying me.

Perfect for home automation
Integrated perfectly fine with existing tapo setup I have. Extremely easy to set up and get connected with and works well with Google Home Assistant. If car has Android Auto you can ask your car to turn them on. The color changing function is a novelty as I have them in outside lights near front door

Fantastic bulbs
I just love these bulbs. Really easy to connect to your WiFi and to change colour settings all the app. I have 4 in my hall. You can set them individually or as a group and it remembers when switched off at the wall. Transformed my hall with a nice dimmed warm light but you can have any colour at all. Bargain price as well really

Used to be good...now meh
Sadly, after using Tapo everywhere for years, I have to say...they became very poor. Connection is slo2 and unreliable when using with Alexa or Tapo app. Used to beway better. No issues with other lights...just Tapo.

Probably the best smart led on the market - no smart hub required.
Purchased these on a whim, to replace an older ‘remote controlled’ set and oh my, what a difference. Credit to other commenters on beam angle and luminosity, so not going to go over that again in my review, mostly going to look at ‘home integration’. It’s important to note here, that unlike some of the other ‘bigger brands’, these lights work off of your existing WiFi network, and do not require a separate ‘hub’ in order to make them work. Whilst I fully understand some of the comments based around setting them up, especially around ‘grouping’ the lights in the ‘tapo’ app, persevere with them, you won’t be disappointed. As for setting them up with Alexa, she did all that for me, which is always a bit scary, but very clever. I like to think that I’m of above average experience when it comes to technology, and like most men, instructions manuals are for the weak or elderly… but I did struggle with trying to ‘name’ the group of lights and then to get Alexa to recognise them… what I didn’t understand, and this is where it gets really clever, if you have an ‘echo’ in the same room as the lights, you simply refer to the group as ‘lights’ in that room.. putting that into plain English, ‘Alexa, turn on lights’, ‘Alexa set lights to red’… as long as this request is made to the echo in that room, she will understand that you are referring to those light.. did I mention that, that is so clever. Bottom line, excellent product, little hard to setup, fairly easily to understand app and excellent integration with Amazon echo.

Amazing products from tapo, love these bulbs
I can honestly say the app and products are very reliable and easy to manage and control both within their own app and by using Alexa, have set many smart routines for my smart home.. I have about 20 of the sockets, 3 of their cameras and am recently converting over to their bulbs.. I will give everyone a solid bit of advice these are WiFi devices not radio frequency like many other devices on market which require a separate transmitter hub.. This has a big drawback for most users and this is most home router handle many WiFi devices.. So basically if you plan on having several smart devices from tapo you might have to do what I have done and put them on their own separate router, which you just plug in and daisy to your existing router, not as a extender but as a separate access point self managed. In my home I'm above 100 WiFi devices and basically stock cheap routers cant handle this.. So hope that helps cos this was a stumbling block that I did hit myself so wanted to help out other users. Also would definitely recommend to anyone trying to make their home smarter get an echo in every room and learn how to create routines in the Alexa app to automate you tech around you day to day tasks.. I really wish these bulbs were on the market ten years ago as they would have saved me tonnes of effort whilst getting my house wired up, my partner is in to her crafts and wanted the spotlight above her sofa seat to be on its own dependant switch . So before we moved in we placed cardboard cutouts of all out furniture on floor and worked out all the cable runs. These bulbs allow independent operation in each room, so can dim or turn off bulbs independently without special wiring.. Have already created several new routine to dim lighting when using our projector, plus if our doorbell goes off our TV paused and lights brighten.

Just work
These bulbs are the most straightforward Wi-Fi bulbs I have ever configured. Plug them in and they just work. Minimum effort required to set them up.

Facile a installer
