Zeon Tech Galileo Thermometer

I love this. I received a 34cm Galileo thermometer as a Christmas present 10 years ago and am still delighted with it. I bought this 28cm one as a Christmas gift for a friend. I hope the recipient will be as delighted to receive it as I was mine. It makes an interesting and unusual gift which always attracts attention. One reviewer said they had to shake theirs but, if it appears not to be working, all it needs is a gentle twist from to side to agitate the liquid slightly. If the globes cluster together and appear static try moving it to a different location where there's more fluctuation in temperature, but keep away from direct heat. After reading one bad review I unpacked this as soon as it arrived and it worked perfectly. My hands were very warm in contrast to the very cold glass so I tested it by placing my hands round it (one above the other) to warm it up slightly. Within a couple of minutes the globes began to move in response to the rise in temperature. They have a sturdy glass base and don't just fall over as one reviewer said his did. It is common sense to place it where it won't get knocked over, also on a level surface. If you are thinking of getting one, go for it, I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

Great desk top addition if you’re a science buff! Yeah it has a range of 2’C between bobbles and is slow to react to rapid environmental temperature changes… but it is very cool none the less! It’s like seeing a solar eclipse when you finally witness a bobble rise/fall! Great value for money too

I still have my original Galileo given as a gift from my now late Aunt at least forty years ago.I love it so much once I discovered them on Amazon I bought three for close friends as Christmas gifts.They are beautiful as an ornament but also useful as a room thermometer.

Nice piece. Simple and interesting at the same time, I bought it to explain our child why things float and under what conditions, it was a success. She also loves looking at the globes going up and down as temperature changes, and it looks good on her desk. In my opinion it's not something that deserves a five-star score as it is a rather basic object so it scores 4 with me, but it does the job, it's reasonably accurate (remember this isn't hi-tech) and fairly priced for what it is. I have now bought another one to give as a present to another child.

I was looking out for a small gift to put in with a friend's birthday. Whilst dusting our own Galileo thermometer which we have had for many years, I thought that if I could find one for our friend, it would be ideal. Locating it on the Amazon website was easy and the price was just perfect for my purpose. Ordering was easy, and the item arrived two days later, in very good packaging. Our friend was delighted with his present, and finds it fascinating watching the coloured balls adjust to the weather temperatures, as we still do after many years of ownership. Would definitely recommend this item for self or gift.

Really interesting and attractive piece. Extremely well packed, in fact so well packed I didn't even check it before wrapping the outer box for Christmas present in case I was the one who damaged it. Very impressed with that. It's well made, quite robust and lovely to look at. Good talking point. Oh and it works!

I have had one of these for years and think they are extremely decorative as well as practical. They really look lovely especially when the light catches the little balls. Very accurate temperature gauge. This was bought for a Golden wedding anniversary gift for friends.

Lovely present 🎁🎁, very well received. Everyone likes it , nice to have it in the room. Very good for disabled people a soon as they know the colours they know what is the temperature in the room.
