SnuggiPad 3 & 4 Case - Smart Cover with Flip Stand (Black Leather) for Apple iPad 3 and 4

Im an IT support guy at a sports venue in the UK.I selected this case as it was the only one that I could find that was a Folio with handstrap.Firstly the case is Faux leather with a soft lining, others have complained that it wasnt real leather I would not expect such at the price it is still very good value.The folding angled view mechanism is a little weak, after a few months use, getting it to stay in the "Wedge" shape can be a little challenging as the seams get very soft and supple and getting it to stay tilted whilst typing is now a problem.Finally, the Hand strap, this is why I bought this case and I think this is its weakest point.It grips well, the elastic is good and it recovers its shape well after having a hand pushed through it for half an hour and it does what I needed it to do as I rush around my busy stadium on a match day. It feels safe and not likely to drop from my grasp but the strap is at a 90deg to the vertical and after a while your wrist will ache, it really could do with being angled slightly but of course this would result in there needing to be a Left and Right handed version which would make it too expensive to produce.Overall if like me you need the both the full protection of a Folio with a handstrap this is about the best case I have found, it could do with some refinements but what doesnt!It is well made and does what it says on the label, if the strap was better suited for left hand holding I would give it 5*s but its well worth the 4* I am giving it.If you hold with the left and input with the right hand it could be perfect for you.

After using my iPad 1 for a couple of years I thought it was time to upgrade to an ipad 4. I now had to find a good case to fit it. I studied all the suitable cases on Amazon and noted that they all claimed to have the sleep/wake function. The first one I ordered was the smart case copy and although the sleep/wake function worked ok it was not very stable in the upright viewing position, it would easily tip forward onto the unprotected screen, I returned it to Amazon.The next one I tried was the document style case, this looked very nice and it was the sort of case I was after but the sleep/wake function wouldn't work, I returned this to Amazon.I then tried a case very simular to the Snugg case but much cheaper. The case was in simulated leather, good value but again the sleep/wake function would not work, I returned this to Amazon.By this time I am getting really fed up with this game. I decided to look on the web to see why all these cases have a sleep/wake problem, it transpires that Apple altered the magnets which operate this function and if manufactures of these cases have altered there product they will not work.I then decided to up the price point a little and ordered a Snugg case, when it arrived I was really pleased at the quality, it is beautifully made in what appears to be leather to me, the stitching is neat and even all over, the cut outs are all in the correct place and above all the sleep/wake function works perfectly every time, the cost under £30.00.The point I'm trying to make is buy a quality case like this Snugg and save yourselves a lot of hassle.A premium product with a lifetime guarantee, highly recommended .

I purchased my I pad and thought this is an expensive item and I would like to look after it and keep it safe.After looking at many I pad cases I made my decisions to purchase the Snugg case, all of the others did not look very good and in some cases just cheep and nasty.I have taken my I pad away with me on a few occasions and it has always been returned home safely, this is due to the quality of the case, the I pad is held in place very snggley and this is helped by the Velcro strap to the open side, the elastic strap on rear of the case when opened is great and means you are less likely to drop the I pad "when putting your fingers trough the strap", the folds in the case that allow you to stand the I pad up when using it to watch programs are perfectly aligned for it to stand up on a flat surface without fear of it falling down the magnetic system that shuts your I pad down works every time and is a nice added feature to this case .The case is not only good but looks great "I purchased a black case and the white stitching looks perfect, the inside is covered in a soft velvet material and will not damage your I pad, the case is just well made and classy.If there is any fault it is it could do with some-ware to store a styles pen but I would still purchase another case

I initially bought a Case Cover for my Apple iPad 4 from another source / manufacturer.I expected the look and quality of this £20.00+ item to complement the unchallengeable style and quality of my iPad 4.Sadly, my expectations were dashed as the product I received looked and felt cheap as well as 'plasticky' and plas-tacky'.My wife, who had visited her sister-in-law the previous weekend and had been initiated into the secrets and wonders of the iPad 'Mini' over there, was no slouch in venturing her opinion of my new 'Case Cover' when she set eyes on it."That's a bit naff," she said dismissively. "H-m-m-m, not a bit but quite a lot! Meg has a 'Snugg'. It's leather and not cheap plastic like that! When I get my 'Mini', I'm having a 'Snugg' as well."What could I do?I checked 'Snugg' out on the web, liked what I saw and, as money is only printed to be spent - part of my efforts to get the British economy on its feet again - I stuck the original 'Case Cover' in the deepest drawer I could find and awaited the arrival of my new 'Snugg' impatiently.I was not disappointed.My iPad 4 sighed blissfully as it slipped effortlessly into the soft, leather-lined interior, wriggled down and settled comfortably as I adjusted the velcro tab to hold it securely in place."Don't wake me when you're working,' Siri said drowsily . . ."What a difference! I can wholeheartedly recommend the 'Snugg' brand over all other 'Case Covers' for Apple iPads.
