easy to use & amazing results
I couldn't have been happier with the results I achieved with this epoxy. My first project was a 3' x 3' table top. The surface turned out amazingly glossy and clear. The instructions are clearly written and easy to follow. A summary would read: Measure, mix for two min., pour epoxy into another container, mix for one min., pour onto surface. Smooth to edges. Wait 15 min. "Pop" bubbles with a propane torch. Cover with dust cloth (no touch) for 8 hours. Done.I would recommend buying more epoxy than you think you need if you are covering raised items. I say this because it seems like the epoxy shrinks a bit when drying. There weren't any cracks or anything like that, but slight ridges formed around the covered objects on the surface. There's no doubt in my mind that this could have been remedied by using more of the product for a thicker coat. I used painters tape to create a dam around the table for one thick coat, as opposed to the pour & drip method. If you use the pour & drip method for covering 3D items (such as coins), you will definitely need more than one coat for a smooth final surface.I will definitely buy EnviroTex brand epoxy again for future projects.

Very tolerable fumes, works great.
If you've used resin products that require a respirator you'll be relieved at how easy this stuff is and how benign the fumes are. You'll still want some decent ventilation, but overall it's not bad at all. (Sort of has that nutty smell that epoxy glue has.) I've done a desk top, a couple of cabinet doors, a coffee-cup shelf, and even some chairs that I couldn't keep paint on and needed a better waterproofing. You have to be patient and be ready for some mess. I didn't have any problems with the bubbles that they warn about, but on one project I did end up with some gooey spots, no doubt from not getting the resin and hardener mixed enough, so do as directed and mix the bejeezus out of this stuff and don't add more until the first coat has hardened, so be sure you mix enough. I've found on most of my projects that you sort of need to help spread the resin a little, so have cardboard or plastic pieces ready to spread the stuff out.(Unless your surface is going to be pretty deeply flooded. Whatever tools you use are toast, so use margarine lids or index cards and disposable brushes if you must, because cleaning this stuff is nearly impossible. It's going to stay where it goes.Rubber gloves are a good idea, too.Of course you could just pour it on, let it run off, then harden to a flat, smooth surface without messing with it, like the instructions indicate, but let's face it, you're not going to do that.

Follow the directions.
I covered a 16 sq. ft. desk and it worked beautifully and looks great. But I prepared as much as possible. Watched many YouTube how to videos and called the 800 number several times that's listed in the directions that come with the package. The tech help was very helpful and there was no delay or hold when calling them. Make sure all bases are covered before you begin. Gloves, containers, butane torch, brushes and more should all be at the ready when you begin because you only have about 20 minutes from the time you mix the solutions to when it begins to harden. I used 4 coats. The first two were sealing coats with the second two being the finishing coats.

Works better than I expected!
After watching hours of videos on how to make my 80’s bathroom current, I decided to give this product a try. First time trying, really easy to use and great results!! I sanded the countertop, gave it a primer coat, let it dry, painted a coat of glossy black and threw on some glitter and let it dry. Mixed the two bottles, equal parts, mixed with a paint stick for 2 minutes. Poured on and spread with a foam brush. I went over it again with a brush like “chop chop” all over. I tried the bbq lighter to blow the bubbles, but blowing threw the straw was better for me. I baby set the epoxy for a while making sure bubbles and imperfections are nicely set. I love the look and will venture on upgrading my master bathroom soon!

great product, but…
The wrapped two bottles (32oz each) arrived in a flimsy plastic bag and it appears one of the bottles leaked. Instruction pamphlet was quite soaked with resin. I thought of returning it, but given the fact both bottles were sticky from the resins, I decided to keep the bottles and make do with it. I'm not sure if the bottles were left out in a truck and they semi froze or what happened. I couldn't see a crack where it leaked from. And given this item isn't returnable I guess I'm stuck with it. Hopefully what ever caused the leakage hasn't effected its properties.

Looks great
I sealed my bar and it exceeded my expectations. At first, pouring it on, it seemed like it was going to come out uneven...but it really does even out on it's own. It's really thick so it takes some time, but it will get there. The torch method for getting bubbles out worked perfectly. Also seems to be very scratch resistant. I tried scratching it with my fingernail and I don't see any scratches. Will absolutely use again if I have another project for it.
