How much do you need to use for each application I have medium length hair

I only use this mousse to touch up the roots on the top and sides of my hair, and may run the rest of it through my fingers to take some of the light blonde out of the ends. This would be 2 golf ball sizes. I have ear length hair and use this mousse while waiting to go to the hairdressers if the sun has bleached it. Hope this helps.
