Great luggage bag
I use this bag for travel. I have learned through experience that a backpack design is far superior to a roller or a duffel because it allows you to carry luggage long airport distances in comfort while keeping your hands free. This bag has all the attributes you need for that purpose...a clamshell opening for easy packing, a hip belt, compartments for laptop and tablet. It is large enough for a week's worth of travel and is overhead bin friendly. I did ten days in Russia with this bag as carry on. All the straps tuck away and convert the bag into a duffel arrangement. Downsides: This bag is heavy at about five lbs. all those pockets, MOLLE attachments, etc, add weight. Second downside is the fairly large size if you don't need it. This is a 47L bag without expansion. When the bag is half full the bottom sags down shapelessly too low and rides on the top of your butt. This would not be a good option for a hiking daypack. I also have a timbuk2 luggage backpack, which is an excellent smaller option. About half the size, much lighter, one large compartment and a laptop sleeve. No hip belt. But works very well.

Great for traveling. Ok for hiking. Works as a Carry on.
I have had this pack for over 2 years. I was concerned about a couple of the reviews about the quality of the bag. At the price and the capacity of the bag, I overlooked those problems and bought it, especially for the carry on use. I bought the black version, that I think is a big lighter and thinner than the other ones. It may nt be for combat use, but for travel and hiking it has proved to be a very good pack. It has enough zippered pockets in the second biggest section. I brought it through week travels to New Orleans and California with no problems. All carry on. I still zippered it tight and it worked well. There are a lot of organizational pockets in the smaller sections. I carried enough for a week travel with camera equipment and lenses. My friend who drove me to the airport remarked on how heavy it was, 25-30 lbs and no loose zippers. The less perfect characteristics are that there is a soft bottom with no cushion, so that if a hard item is there, it could be uncomfortable. It does seem to hang lower so that it does touch lower than the hips in the back. For hiking and for long walking in the airport, it is important to organize items so that softer cushion items like clothing is on the bottom and above that are heavy items toward the back. The larger section does have straps, but is not the most organized. I do not have a bag that hold this much luggage and clothing. Perfect for carrying a lot of stuff. Need a protective cover for a computer.

Long term review
I first purchased this backpack in 2016 while I was on my way to basic training. 5 years later I can say this backpack has served me well. I've used this every day for the past 5 years, taking it to work and using it to go on vacation. It holds 3 days worth of clothes, toiletries, my laptop, and can even squeeze my xbox and a controller in there with room to spare. Durability is astronomical, has zero wear and tear, all zippers, clips, and hooks are in pristine condition. I've even thrown plates in to go rucking. Seriously a buy it for life item. If you need one backpack that does everything look no further. 2021 UPDATE: Backpack still holding strong. No signs of wear or tear. I still take it to and from work every day and take it as my main travel pack. Has survived many plane trips as carry on and checked luggage, even took it on deployment. Legit the only backpack you'll ever need. I'll probably pass this down to my kids.

Versatile bag with plenty of space, quality and great price from trusted producer!
Absolutely great Pack. In ideal world I would have liked to see it a little bit lighter, but weight is within acceptable limits. Possibility to transform the backpack is an asset that adds to versatility of use in various situations. Bag as expected is very well made, large and easy zippers, plenty of pockets and compartments, bag expands to large size and collapses into minimalist size that will fit on cabin luggage for practically all the airlines. This was reason behind the purchase - multi country tourism with cabin luggage only for duration of up to 14 days, extensive walking at destination with the backpack, transport with busses, boats, etc taking bag with me. Very satisfied with quality, versatility and especially great price for this particular colour pattern. Looking forward for this bag to be my travel companion this year to all the 37 countries on my visiting list in Balkans, Asia, Central America. Will keep you posted how bag holds up to this.

Best backpack I've ever owned
I've gone through about a half dozen backpacks, each with pluses and minuses. This pack is, by a long shot, the very best. It's huge, which allows me to pack it with a standard load out before I start adding stuff (first aid, chargers, cables, etc) and still have a ridiculous amount of room left over. I can easily pack it with way too much weight to comfortably carry, and the pack just keeps swallowing my computer, overnight kit, extra socks, etc. It's crazy. Plus with the addition of some external MOLLE packs, I've got even more room. I've taken it to New Zealand, Ireland, England, and on too many cross country trips to even mention. it's absolutely bombproof and looks/performs as well after several years than it did the day I bought it. I'll never buy another one again (assuming this one ever breaks and I need to replace it, which, at this pace, will be never). Seriously, a great buy. Only caveat: it's pretty big. If you're smaller frame or don't like carrying heavy loads when you travel (I don't really mind a heavy pack since I was a wilderness guide for several years) then you might want to downsize... . or just pack it lighter!

Good pack, though some of the stitching is shoddy.
I have had this for like 4 months now and I have been enjoying it a lot. It holds everything, and is very sturdy. The exception happen just the other day. I ride just over 7 miles to the gym every morning, and 7 miles home. Yesterday I was riding with this backpack as usual, with my shaker bottles holding various drinks in them. I put two of the bottles in the middle sized pocket(which they easily fit into). Apparently the weight of the two bottles(roughly 3 ounces each) and the fluids(24 ounces of water split between the two bottles) was enough to pop the seem on that middle pocket. I inspected the stitching and it definitely looked cheap. I restitched it and it should hold for an eternity now, but I was shocked at how awful the original stitching was. A single snack or snap in the line and the whole thing would unravel. I used a completely different method to sew it back up that has each stitch baring it's own knot, so no matter what, the seem will hold, but I shouldn't have to be sewing on a 4 month old bag that was only carrying a couple less than half full water bottles.

Great pack for securing your gear.
Bought for military trips and the bag has held up great. Although the bag itself is a bit heavy for a backpack, I felt like the build and material was crafted well to ensure my gear stays safe and secure.

Great Backpack!
I love this backpack. It was recommended to me by a YouTuber that was in the Air Force. I currently use it as a work backpack for security, to carry whatever I may need for the shift. I am going to go through the Police Academy and do not have any doubt that I will continue to use and carry it. There are all sorts of compartments to hold everything you may need and several ways to carry the bag. It is a little heavy but that is due to the sturdiness and high quality of the material. I would not be worried about it ripping or falling apart. I have had it for some time, and if I remember right, there were a lot of loose strings hanging from the stitching. I was able to trim them with scissors and the problem was easily resolved.
