Take for example the medley that opens the concert, which is ‘DRIVING MISS DAISY’ Opening Medley: Driving [‘DRIVING MISS DAISY’] / Discombobulate [‘SHERLOCK HOLMES’] / Zoosters Breakout [‘MADAGASCAR’] and you see everyone walk onto the stage and the Medley starts off fairly quiet and then as time goes by each person with their instrument builds to make a massive wall of sound that is an absolutely mind blowing experience and really sets the bar high for the rest of the concert and you get to hear all the instruments work their magic and all the speakers get a really good workout with clear precise positioning of all the instruments and the Blu-ray really highlights all the instruments so distinguished and sharp with the 1080p image quality. Technical prowess is totally natural and more than anything, once again the quality of the bright stunning colour images took my breath away and is a totally amazing experience and certainly captures why Blu-ray discs always gives us the awesome stunning images we deserve and offers a deep record in the sense of space and dynamics that are a resounding success for this awesome Hans Zimmer concert that will make you feel you are actually there and this Blu-ray disc that will not disappoint, in fact you will want to do a regular repeat viewing of this totally awesome Blu-ray disc, that again you will think you are watching a 4K Blu-ray disc, that is totally spectacular and will give you also a totally spine tingling experience and caused me to get very emotional in what I was viewing. But be warned if you are affected by lots of flashing and strobing lighting, as there is a vast amount of this type of lighting effects.Blu-ray Audio Quality – With this Eagle Rock Entertainment Blu-ray disc, you experience a totally spectacular audio soundtrack, which is brought to you in an even more awesome sound design with English: 7.1 Dolby ATMOS, English: 7.1 Dolby TrueHD Surround Sound and English: 2.0 LPCM Stereo Audio which is okay, but not so spectacular. But for those who cannot view the Blu-ray with the 7.1 Dolby ATMOS audio experience, then the 7.1 Dolby TrueHD Surround Sound audio experience is something I can assure you will take your breath away with this audio total perfection, especially as everything is facilitated by the fact that it is a technically managed masterpiece. With the orchestration and the voices of choral singers is so totally natural in this particular concert environment and gives you effect that you are hearing it like an actual studio recording, but of course live and totally realistic! So, all in all it is so technically and professionally impressive, and as always you get total technical brilliance collaboration from the engineers and together it is 100% perfectionists. The dynamics sounds you experience is also totally delicious, the voices are well placed and the sound mixing those singers with the orchestra is a very enjoyable experience and you get experience totally brilliant professional musicians that really captures the whole concert experience a very professional post production that is 100% near on total perfection of sound reproduction and especially with sincerity. Overall, the work of the 7.1 Dolby TrueHD Surround Sound track is a totally mind blowing event, but the 2.0 LPCM Stereo Audio track seemed very simplistic in comparison. Anyway, since you have the choice of the 7.1 Dolby TrueHD Surround Sound and the 2.0 LPCM audio track it is of course a matter of choice, but I will always go for the7.1 Dolby TrueHD Surround Sound track, as this really shows you how a concert of this calibre should be heard. This Blu-ray is of course a total MUST for all concert aficionados who want to experience the best results from an awesome ultimate concert as this one! And one that is also an amazing technical innovation that the press had reported with the Hans Zimmer Concert Tour saying that was a feast of joyous experience and it was a riveting meditation, to say with nothing but respect, and added a depth to the night that reminded everyone why Hans Zimmer’s music is so impactful. But to simply remind you that because of this Blu-ray format it brings a real bonus in terms of sound quality and it is brilliantly more defined, and more importantly, those extra exclusive information on the Blu-ray disc is a brilliant technical specifications of the highest standard experience of a totally awesome ambient sounds that are produced and again totally envelopes you with all your speakers giving you an audio experience that you will not forget in a very long time. Sadly, this one seems not to exist on 4k.Where do I start?The concert is beautifully filmed. The camera is mostly focused on the stage and musicians, on few occasions on the publicum - just to get the feeling of the setting.The orchestra and soloists are exceptional.The same for the audio quality.I have 5.1 system and the sound is just astonishing. Deep bass, clear positioning of the musicians.I'm not sure if the 4k could be any better, but I would buy within a blink of the eye.One of my all time favorites, and I watch AC\DC, Nightwish as well :-)

First off: Despite the warning at the top of the product info for this Blu-Ray it did not come as Region A, and was perfectly compatible with my Blu-Ray player. Amazon need to check the stocks they have, as this info could unnecessarily put people off purchasing. If unsure, do contact customer​ service before buying.I've been lucky enough to see Hans Zimmer and his exceptionally talented friends on both legs of the tour. And the hairs on the back of my neck raised the second time around, just as they had the first.Having this Live Blu-Ray now means I can relive the beauty and talent of one of the best film composers in modern times, and also get to watch in awe the amazing people he took on tour with him: Tina Guo, Yolanda Charles, Guthrie Govan and many many more.This is certainly a "best of" in terms of the over 150 scores Zimmer has worked on, but he pulls out so many gems from his career. From modern scores such as Man of Steel which mix in classical music with modern electronics, to early scores such as Rain Man and a certain fan favourite, The Lion King.So, turn off the lights, turn up the volume and prepare to be amazed. This is worth it!Just an aside, I think the sad bit about the Blu-Ray was no behind the scenes extras (if you look at Zimmer and the bands Facebooks during the tour you would have seen the special relationship and fun they had on tour), or adding of two new pieces which were on the 2017 tour: Is She With You (Wonder Woman theme from BvS) and the Thelma and Louise theme. A shame as they were added to the already brilliant set-list and just made my day!However, this is worth it and don't forget to add the accompanying CD to your shopping list (needs to be heard via headphones).

Over 2 hours of the most amazing music you will ever hear (and see). The quality of the musicianship on stage is just awesome and it is done full justice by the quality of the sound and vision (blue ray). For the best experience you must connect up to a good sound system. The sound is recorded in Dolby Atmos and even though I have mine connected through my 'old fashioned' 2 channel hi-fi, the quality and fidelity is just brilliant.I have read a few negative comments as regards overly heavy bass and poor balance. This is not my experience and I am speaking as a semi professional brass player. Faulty discs excepted, balance and fidelity is truly superb. I can only put the negative comments on sound down to the current trend for modern sound systems that are geared towards film viewing and boosting super low frequencies in order to emulate the cinema experience. Yes, bass is big, but listening on a quality music system it is absolutely spot on.

Worth it for your collection

Having owned this for a few years via streaming, I wanted more out of the sound and boy does it deliver!One of the best concert films ever made, from filming, editing to sound recording and mixing, this piece really brings you front, center, and from every possible angle, at the heart of this epic performance.All the musicians and singers play their heart out and watching so many come together under the direction of Hans Zimmer just boggles the mind.It's not 4K but you'll never notice as the OG capture is crystal clear making upscaling easy.The sound on Blu Ray is OOOOF, and with the right sound system you will hear the low rumble of the arena breathing. Just massive.Bravo to the performers and everyone behind the scenes who made this possible.

Une compilation des meilleures compositions de Hans Zimmer, à apprécier sur grand écran (l’image est superbe, bien meilleure que certains blockbuster, les cadrages sont variés et permettent de découvrir tout l’orchestre). Quand au son, j’ai choisi sans hésiter l’atmos sur mon home cinéma 5.1.2. Le son est très enveloppant : j’ai très rarement senti cet effet même parmi tout les films en atmos que je possède. Le mixage est vraiment très bon et bien équilibré, chaque son se détache bien est n’écrase pas les autres. Chaque morceau peut être écouté comme un chapitre. Très pratique quand on ne veut écouter qu’un morceau ou deux. Un achat que je ne regrette donc pas surtout à ce prix… les concerts atmos sont encore trop rares à mon goût : en résumé si vous avez la chance d’avoir l’installation adéquate et que vous voulez la tester, ce Blu-ray est parfait !
