Great B&O build quality and a depth of sound hard ...
Great B&O build quality and a depth of sound hard to match. Very long battery life and practical design and I liked the carrying strap in particular. Suitable for all types of music with great depth of sound including very impressive bass and clear mid tones and treble. Charges quickly and lasts up to 20 hours of use. Easy to connect with simple bluetooth pairing or direct connection. My only concern is the stability of the unit - it has to be played standing up and if jolted at all it falls over or off the unit it is standing on. Be warned - put it somewhere it can't fall off!! If using outdoors or in a humid or damp environment, the Active version is essential as it is dust and moisture resistant. Highly recommended speaker and although the price puts it in the expensive category once the pain of buying it fades the quality will last and you will not regret the purchase.

Sounds amazing with both Metallica and Rachmaninov at low and high ...
Only had it 1/2 hour and absolutely blown away by it. Tech spec says 180w peak - using Class D amp - which is highly power efficient. No less than 6 speakers inside - 2 passive for bass. Sounds amazing with both Metallica and Rachmaninov at low and high volumes. Deep, rich, uncoloured sound. A Big improvement over Bose Soundlink 2s which are very bass-heavy, and I have had 2 that have gone wrong I am sorry to say. Take note that in other reviews someone advised to 'run in' these speakers before best performance is achieved. If significant change after a month of use I will report back.

Fantastic sound, rubbish battery
Best sound bluetooth speaker I tried ( I also tried Bose revolve, Beoplay A1, Sonos), specially shines where several instruments are on the set, like orchestras, and also in acoustic musics. I mean, the sound and loudness is fantastic even when compared with small bookshelf speakers. The fact you cannot.make calls is a nuisamce bur I can live with that. What could be a deal breaker is battery life. Less than an hour if you listen at max volume and even with charger on ot doesn't make a difference. I tend to play at 66% and lasts about 5 or 6 hours. At 60% volume, the charger will work, but not if over that. O rated 4 stars as for £120 I paid for, it's a steal. Piece of advice, buy an aftermarket battery if you need, there are plenty out there.

Battery Issues Really let this down
I tried one of these in the Apple store and was pleasantly surprised, the sound quality was rather good, especially given the small size and slim nature of the unit. I saw one on Amazon and at the price thought it was a no brainer, so ordered one. It arrived as always at Amazon speed so that was brilliant. I tried it and it was almost as good as in the store but then the volume dropped. Turns out this is part of the design, as when the battery gets low it ‘conserves’ power so drops the volume to nearly audible. So I plugged it in to an Apple charger, and it commences charging. But the volume doesn’t increase for ages and ages, repeatly dropping again. So I thought perhaps give it a few cycles of use and discharge, then charging. But it is a major issue, today whilst in the kitchen at a fair but not excessive volume after not even 80 minutes it dropped. I have sent it back and will stick to my Bose Sound Link lll (much better than the mini!) which sounds awesome and when fully charged still lasts most of the day. All in all quite disappointed and glad I didn’t pay three hundred quid on it.

Abysmal battery life
Looks great, very easy to use and sounds good for it's size. The major disappointment, and the main reason for me choosing it is the battery life, at normal listening volume (around half) the battery lasts just under 45 minutes, the quoted 24 hour battery life must be based on whisper quiet volume, such a shame for an otherwise excellent product...

A Good bluetooth speaker from B&O
Great sound quality with, good battery life if you listen at moderate level. Connects fine to Beoplay App for sound tuning.

Beware of the battery life claims
I did a fair amount of research before buying this item but sadly it wasn't enough. The claims were true, except 1. Its an outstanding speaker for design, portability, sound quality and build. However the battery life in day to day use makes it pointless. I've had it now for over a year and love using it, but I have to plan in advance when that will be. Let me explain...... Charging the speaker from a well powered source takes maybe 2 hours. All good but here's the problems. If you don't use the speaker it will only hold its charge for maybe a week before it's flat. I've got other speakers from quality brands and they don't suffer from this. Even if you use it after a couple of days it's battery is significantly drained and doesn't last long. OK, so it's fully charged and running on just battery. You crank it up. Don't expect more than 90 mins of usage. Lower the volume and the longevity obviously goes up. To hit the 24 hour claims you need to have it very low compared to its max, but it will go for 24 hours if you use it all at once in a low setting. So now you try to use it while plugged into a good power source and cranked up. At best you'll get maybe 4 hours before the volume automatically turns itself down to save batter life. You then wait for an hour or 2 before you turn it up and then rinse and repeat. There will be some that never want to turn a B&O speaker up to enjoy the premium price they've paid and they will be the ones who have no issue with any of the above. For everyone else who thinks like me and wants to enjoy the spend, plan ahead and be moderate with your expectations or you will be woefully disappointed. Such a shame the battery life makes this speaker so situational. B&O you can do much better than this!

Superior Sound quality
I was hesitant to buy this speaker because of the negative feedback regarding battery life. I took the risk and bought it. The sound quality is far above any of other speakers I tested. I listen to classic music and it is very vivid sound and very natural. Battery life about 8 hours if you using it on moderate volume up to %60. I do not know if it lasts longer or less if you using it for loud party occasions. very pleased and I recommend it.

That-a-boy Bang & Olufsen!
I've tested a great many bluetooth speakers (non-portable, portable and ultra-portable) and headphones over the years. Although I'm clearly not an audiophile, I do enjoy the best sound - in the car, at home, in the office - and I have a lot of side-by-side listening to provide solid A/B feedback. I tend to test them out, return the ones that aren't good, keep those that are. And so I have. In the bigger bluetooth speaker area I like the Polk Woodbourne and Aiwa Exos-9 best. In the portable area I like the B&O Beolit 15 and absolutely LOVE the Klipsch KMC-3. Unfortunately, all of those except the Aiwa are discontinued. The ultra-portable category has been dominated in sound quality by the Bose Soundlink Mini / Mini II for more than 4 years - and that's for having tried a number of high-end competitors, including the Bowers & Wilkins T7 and KEF Gravity One, both of which were, frankly, abysmal in comparison to the Bose. Now, to the point: The B&O Beoplay A2. The biggest engineering challenge in a speaker this size, in my evaluation, is the ability to articulate bass. Many reviewers gravitate towards "it gets very loud" or "it doesn't get loud enough". I notice that - but frankly, don't care. I'm not buying a tiny speaker like the Bose or B&O to fill a gym or crank it out for a block party. I have bigger speakers for that purpose. It's a personal speaker - I use it on my desk, put it on the dresser in a hotel room while on business travel. Listen to music or movies at moderate volume. What I care about is, almost to the exclusion of everything else, the quality of sound, especially bass reproduction. Does it sound much, much bigger than it is. Secondary considerations are construction quality and aesthetics, battery life, volume. In that, my review is divergent from many other negative reviews that dock this for poor battery life. 2 hours does indeed seem a bit thin, but in my case, there are few if any cases where I'll need to play music longer than that away from a charger, and when I need to be off the wire for a day, I also carry a portable power bank. I haven't tested battery life for this, but suspect at moderate listening levels (which is where I would almost always have it), it gets much longer than 2 hours. Back to the regularly scheduled program: in terms of "sounding bigger than it is", Bose Soundlink Mini is still, in my estimation, undefeated. That having been said, the A2 is the closest competitor to the Soundlink Mini I have tried to date, including Bose's own successor to the Soundlink III or Soundlink Mini, the Revolve+. The bass is deep and pronounced, with a bit more "oomph" than the B&O A1 (which I also think is a terrific little speaker). I believe there are passive radiators on the back of the A2 which definitely benefit from being placed in a corner - no different than the Bose. Similar to the A1 and even the Beolit 15 (identical to the newer Beolit 17, but for a few electronic knick-knacks like a mic for hands-free calling), the B&O "signature sound" does seem to temper high treble more than I like. Even, as it turns out, for my 100% absolute reigning champ pair of bluetooth headphones, the B&O H9. It's there, but maybe rounded off by bumped up high mids, like female vocals. As with the Bose Soundlink Mini, Revolve+ and B&O A1, the bass tapers off at higher volumes - totally expected. The drivers and cabinets are tiny. They each articulate impressive, responsive, deep bass at low to moderate listening levels, but at louder levels the bass hits a ceiling and the mids and treble keep on going. Again, not a real problem in my perspective, given that for BIG sound applications, I would pull out a Klipsch KMC-3 (out of production) or Aiwa Exos-9. The aesthetic is, quite in B&O style, impeccable. Solid anodized, perforated, coated aluminum grilles front and rear and a nice carrying strap. Colors are extremely well selected and demure. That having been said, B&O nailed the sound, at the expense of size. See the attached pictures comparing the A2 to the A1 and Soundlink Mini. The A2 is, in total, roughly three times the cabinet volume of the Soundlink Mini, which I STILL believe produces equivalent or superior sound performance. The form factor is still highly portable, but on the larger side of "ultra-portable", in the neighborhood of the B&W T7, Sony SRS-X5, Bose Soundlink III or Marshall Stockwell. All told, it sounds wonderful. With a bit of easy placement - on a bookshelf, corner of a counter top in the bathroom or kitchen - it's brilliant. As I started by saying, this is the best-sounding ultra-portable speaker I have EVER tested or owned other than the Soundlink Mini / Mini II, and that's quite a few, including Bowers & Wilkins T7 and KEF Gravity One. In both the A1 and A2, Bang & Olufsen has been the first outfit to field a competitive ultra-portable bluetooth speaker that does everything you need it to, and does it well. On the strength of sound quality alone I still believe the Bose Soundlink Mini has the edge on sound quality, and probably battery life, but the differences may come down to a matter of personal preference. So much so that I may say the Bose and the B&O A2 are tied for first place. The Bose Revolve+ and B&O Beoplay A1, both excellent speakers, are tied for #2. I can confidently recommend any of these speakers. All of them benefit from a few dozen hours of burn-in, all of them benefit from placement for best bass, none of them get tremendously loud without drowning out the bass performance. But the kind of sound they can produce is each a proper "wow moment".

Altoparlante Portatile con Bluetooth B&O - mod. A2
Articolo come da descrizione. Spedizione conforme.
