I had an older pool deck that the pool deck drain consisted of a 3-1/2” wide cut in the deck filled with white stones. The grand kids thought it was fun to grab the stones out of the deck drain and throw them into the pool. So to fix that problem I installed this drain. The hardest part was to dig out the existing rocks. It went in very easily. I just paid close attention to make sure that the top of the drain was just lower than the surrounding concrete so it would drain properly. Once everything was dug out and the drain installed I mixed up some sand mix concrete and filled in around the drain. The instructions that came with the kit were easy follow. I had several 90 degree angles in my deck drain and to save money I made my own. If you have a miter saw just cut two 45 degree angles from the straight piece and use JB Weld plastic epoxy to glue the two pieces together. It will take about 24 hours for a full cure but will save you $30 on each 90 if you had to buy one.

Frontier drain deck is a very nice product and was delivered faster than indicated by Amazon. I'm very pleased with this product. I only wish it had come in 10-foot sections.

Looks great around the pool. Had to put in a foundation around the pool for a metal building and needed to drain around the sides into the sewer.
