Buy the brand name, this is a good quality item
I have wanted one of these for years. Finally bought it and it works great and is fun to use. I like that it has a green light that shows that is working. And turns red when electrical current is detected. That way you know it is working - green light means it is on. Otherwise how would you know when the batteries are dead, or the detector is broken. Seems well made, and turns off automatically (if you forget to turn off after use. This tester is very helpful!

Outlet tester kit
Fixed some wiring in my house with this value set. No home toolbox should be without these two items. The no contact thing was perfectly accurate in determining when power was running thru a wire or not. Easy to use items that are not overly sensitive. The size is perfect for most of us. Just big enough to be functional without any extra fluff. The outlet tester is easy to read and both of these items are very portable and well constructed.

What I expected from Klein!
Carry it for day to day plumbing since I occasionally run into electrical that I have to confirm is off. Voltage tester is perfect for this. The plug tester was a bonus. Use it for items in my home whenever I modify something.
