Collection of five action features starring Steven Seagal. In 'Under Siege' (1992) a battleship is captured by a disgruntled CIA man and his small private army, who pose as a rock band. The only one who can save the vessel, which has nuclear capability, is Casey Ryback (Seagal), the ship's cook and former Navy SEAL. In 'Under Siege 2 - Dark Territory' (1995) a passenger train has been hijacked by electronics expert Travis Dane (Eric Bogosian) and turned into an untracable command centre for a weapons satellite. He plans to blow up Washington DC - for one billion dollars - and it falls to Ryback to stop him. In 'Hard to Kill' (1990) Los Angeles police officer Mason Storm (Seagal) wakes from a lengthy coma and swears revenge on the crooked cops, vicious hoodlums and the corrupt senator who murdered his wife and child and put him to sleep for seven years. In 'Nico - Above the Law' (1988) martial arts detective Nico Toscani (Seagal) discovers that a group of drug barons are about to bring chaos to the streets of Chicago. With the help of his partner (Pam Grier) he soon discovers that the drugs cartel is run by Zagon (Henry Silva), a CIA official whom Nico had worked with during the Vietnam War. In 'Executive Decision' (1996) Pentagon defence analyst Dr. David Grant (Kurt Russell) has to rescue 400 hostages from a hijacked 747 aircraft which is stacked full of dangerous chemical weapons and heading straight for Washington DC. Since the terrorists real objective is the destruction of the US capital, Grant realises that attempts at negotiation will be fruitless and consequently resolves to board the 747 himself. But the mission, led by Special Operations expert Austin Travis (Seagal), looks doomed from the start when the experimental aircraft they are using to board the plane goes wildly out of control during the docking procedure.

Master of Action
Marvellous entertainment package with the price that is right as well. Any of Steven's movies are worth buying and with this group are some of his finest, now to mention them they are Under Siege 1-2, Hard to kill, NICO; Above the Law and Executive Decision all great movies, If you haven't seen or heard of them, where the hell have you been. A little bit of each title, Under Siege 1 is a masterpiece with a marvellous cast and storyline that you should not miss it, Under Siege 2 I was a bit disappointed with this one as he was on a train and I would have preferred him on another ship as the first one, would have been better, but that is only my opinion, still storyline is great and marvellous acting from all. Hard to kill is another masterpiece with him gunned down and put into a coma for 7 years and now his awake and is set on revenge with an aid of a nurse he leaves the hospital under her care, No one is safe now. Next one NICO; Above the Law I was taken in truly with this one and enjoyed it so much I just had to have it in my collection, Now the last Executive Decision Steven was only in this one for a short time but Kurt Russell carried it through to make it tops. I have decided that they are all rated A grade plus for the full on action and differences in all movies mentioned in this collection and if you want to start your library of I would start with these. Get ready for a wonderful night of entertainment get comfortable with your feet up and retire to your favourite chair, for hours of fast action with twist and turns (that we are not capable of) fabulous movies. Oh don't forget the most important thing for the night that is the popcorn. Enjoy!

Segals Best Films - Uncut
I used to be a Steven Segal fan a loooong time ago, that being said it is hard to deny that when he started, he made some great action films before his star declined. I call his good films the Warner Bros years with the inclusion of Marked for Death as that was made/distributed by another company. If you enjoy the full violence of Nico or Under Siege, then you need this collection as those two films are uncut in this collection but on earlier releases they were cut by BBFC. The rest of the films are also uncut. Unfortunately in this collection they did not include Out for Justice, On Deadly Ground, Fire Down Below, The Glimmer Man, Exit Wounds but then his career went south after On Deadly Ground and kept going down. Exit Wounds would be his last WB film when he was relegated to direct to DVD films which Segal just loves to produce in vast quantities but result in utter garbage films.

Fantastic picture & sound quality
I had started watching my old dvd of Executive Decision and had to put it off because the picture was so bad on a 46” screen. I wouldn’t even count myself a Seagal fan but it was cheaper to buy this collection than to buy Executive Decision alone! It turns out that along with the great picture and sound quality, nostalgia kicked in and I had a great time watching the whole box set.Great deal as of today (20/7/20).

The Steven Seagal Collection [Blu-ray] [2012] [Region Free]
Here we have a collection of Seagal's films. I'd be very surprised if you hadn't heard of any of the titles. These are ofcourse his earlier movies, Good solid action as per usual. If it's excitement and some martial arts thrown in, then this is for your movie collection. And all in one box. Price-wise, no grumbles from here. Bought these without hesitation. Already had them on DVD, but what the heck, let's upgrade the quality. If Steven Seagal is one of your action heroes, then go for it. If by chance you haven't heard of Seagal, then just browse the internet, there is plenty out there to help make you're mind up. Which ever way, enjoy.

Under Sie...whelmed
This appears to be the only official blu-ray release of Under Siege 1 & 2 in the UK, and the set represents a bit of a bargain (at time of writing the 5 film box set is only £13.50 on Amazon)so it is a must buy for English Seagal fans like myself. It's a great shame then, that Warner Brothers have lavished absolute zero love onto these films and as such the entire set feels like little more than a cash in.Why? ...When I unwrapped the set I was really surprised to discover that both Under Siege 1 and 2 have only Dolby Digital sound tracks, yep no HD soundtracks to be had here for either of the two most important films in the set. Extremely disappointing. My Yamaha HD surround amp did make a nice job of these non-HD Dolby Digital sources on the 'Siege' movies, creating a nice sound field. Particularly noticeable in the first film. Gary Chang's atmospheric and percussive score filled the room, bullets whooshed and zipped by and helicopters thudded across the sound field. Thanks Yamaha, no thanks Warner, this was good but could have been so much more with the deserved attention from the studio. The picture quality of Under Siege is patchy, some scenes looking beautiful in HD, with lovely sharpness and nice rendering of film grain. Unfortunately many scenes (particularly the darker scenes) are noisy and soft. the picture quality of Under Siege 2 is more consistent, it's acceptable, but very soft by today's standards and only a moderate upgrade from the DVD.Probably the best looking and sounding film in the set is Nico/Above The Law. The picture quality is consistent, with the old 80's film grain really nicely rendered. That twangy guitar soundtrack has also never sounded better than on the Dolby True HD mix found here. Hard To Kill doesn't look too bad either.Poor old Seagal, of all the 80-90's Action Greats his career has really gone down the toilet, maybe that's why the Studio can't really be bothered with his back catalogue. However, for less than 15 quid this set still represents good value for fans of the big man's glory days, just don't expect to be blown away. Now, get ma pies out the oven!!
