Great little sanding/carving tool in a well presented case
Great little sanding/carving tool in a well presented case.Only down side is it arrived with a 2 pin plug, so had to buy an adaptor for Europe to UK.

Good product, I bought this to shape wood and looks very (very) promising.Really easy to control not quiet - but not as loud as my 115mm grinder, It sounds like a small grinder which it is, I guess I had hoped it would sound better quality (oh I hope this makes sense to you)Just it testing I have found the bearing near the cutting end gets warm.Plastic box is big enough to hold extra disks without any dramaBig shame it isn't fitted with a variable speed control that would be a big improvement.If you buy from Luxoutils you will need an adapter as they supply with conitnental plug so factor this in when calculating value.

illegal plug
It came with 2 pin plug. Its illegal for UK retailers to sell most domestic electrical products (not for example shavers, electric toothbrushes or items with rcd plugs) with two-pin plugs under the Plugs and Sockets Safety Regulations 1994

Failed after 4x uses . . . and blew fuses . . .now all sorted!
Initial observations were very positive and it looked a good quality product. Used 4x times and 4th time after less than 15 mins use it burned out motor, flashed and blew house fuse! It was not heavy use . . . . sanding some lime wood. This is advertised as a quality product and should last longer than 4 months. I am now trying to get it returned and fixed via Amazon however, this is proving more challenging than I expected. . . . Watch this space!!Contacted distributor who was very helpful and provided offer of return and they would fix and return or send me the spare parts required (new motor and switch) I took the spares, replaced them both and it works. Motor is a little noisy while working but so far all good. (this all happened in May 2020).

Proxon long neck angle grinder
A very handy little grinder for getting into narrow spaces for weld dressing etc.Considering its versatility it is such a shame that it is SO UNDERPOWERED and very easily burns out the motor instead of blowing the 3 amp fuse first.The on /off rocker switch is a real nuisance as it tends to be knocked on or off by the palm of your hand in use.So come on Proxon and give it a positive action slide type on/off switch and MORE POWER for people like me to use on more man sized jobs as it seems to be aimed at very light users such as jewellers and the like !
