Not a Petite Fan
This is a big CPU Cooler, From the base of the motherboard to the bumps on the top of the cooler, it is about 6 inches. There is a dual fan version but the single fan version had reviews that rated it just as well. I barely hear it at idle with the case side off but I'm not a gamer and it's cooling an Intel 14500 I5 which has a lower average dissipation, TDP of 65W. But that's what I was looking for, something reasonable modern, less power hungry, fairly quiet and reliable. ASRock Z790 Lightning WIFI Mobo (lots of legacy ports) Mirror raided M2's for the OS, Mirror raided 2TB Mechanical for data, 64 gigs DDR 5 RAM, GTX 1660 Super GPU (older but reliable, nice price , can always upgrade ). Anyway, I'm not pushing the CPU Cooler that hard and for my use it's been delightful but you need the room to mount it. The photo's don't really due justice to how big this cooler is when you are staring at it. None of it has given me any grief.

Why pay more if this works?
This inexpensive cooler works great. It cools 6-core processors with no problem.

Excellent Cooler for the Price
I bought the ID Cooling SE 224 XTS based on the Canucks review of budget tower coolers pointing out the high-polish base plate and overall quality. Compared to my old Cooler Master cooler the ID’s base plate really is impressive. At the current price the package is pretty amazing: a decent fan, plenty of hardware for both AMD and Intel CPUs, and good quality throughout. Mine is working well keeping my AMD4 3600 at ~32C idle. Installation: again, compared with my old Cooler Master cooler (with its rinky-dink lever clamp), the ID Cooling tower is fairly easy to install and once screwed down it feels solid. I suspect the reviews arguing otherwise may be trying to use the cooler in smaller cases; anything smaller than midtower ATX and you might need to resign yourself to pulling the motherboard to install the cooler. I installed this unit without pulling anything out, not even the GPU. No need for a long screwdriver, though having one made the job easier. Be sure to plug in the SE 224’s fan before beginning the radiator installation or you might be very sorry later. With my MSI X470 board I had to tape the cooler assembly back plate in place until screwing in the first screw of the ID Cooling replacement mounts. The instructions that cover this are OK up until the glaring omission of fan-to-radiator installation. Wire-thin spring steel clips hold the fan to the radiator (see photos), and assembling these would be horrible in a small case with mobo left in place; one side was tricky even in my large case. I can see why some users complain about the clips, but they do work.

EXCELLENT CPU Cooler
This thing is great. I put it intoy New server with an I3-12100T on a Z690i Aorus Ultra Lite. I had to take two pinch tabs off (gently, Dremel sanding roll) and it JUST BARELY clears the upper heat sink on the mobo. That piece of paper barely drug through with just a hint of resistance. Performance? The 12100T idles at 26-27c on an ambient of about 72. Temps rise quickly under load but the max I've seen is 47C at a load in the 90's. Fan is VERY quiet surprisingly. Not as quiet as the Noctua fans in the case but doggone close. If you're on a budget or aren't trying to cool something mid to high end, I would highly recommend the 224-XTS.

missing thermal paste, otherwise it works good.
the heatsink and the fan work great. however, the box i got did not have the thermal paste, i have to buy it separate in order to complete the assembly.

Much better than stock AMD Cooler
Got this for my pc as my ryzen 5 5600 was getting quite warm at times with the stock cooler and sometimes hitting 80c - 90c gaming and averaging around 60 - 70c while just idle or web browsing. Only had this for a week but results so far have been impressive with it not going over 60c once even while playing games for long sessions ( Only death stranding & Witcher 3 so far ) and at idle and web browsing it hangs around the 40 - 50c mark. It was also super easy to install following a video from ID on their YouTube page. Cannot comment how loud it is as I use headphones while gaming but it appears to be pretty quiet when I have had a quick listen. Brilliant for the price and I'm very happy so far.
