However the pump is the normal brilliant Grundfos that has been around for decades
I have given this five stars even though the seller, for some reason, continues to use the wrong image in the description (as has been mentioned elsewhere) - don't they read the reviews? I attach an image of the actual pump received and installed yesterday. You will see that the 'control box' is on the side and not the front. However the pump is the normal brilliant Grundfos that has been around for decades. Thoroughly reliable, universally available and a piece of cake to install ( be sure to familiarise yourself with the connection block and cable positioning before you install - as you may find it fiddly in a confined space). This pump is almost double the price with other sellers I have checked. All in all a RESULT !!

Good pump & auto mode.
What a minefield, pumps! Had a new boiler fitted and they said the pump could do with replacing so after hours of looking I bought this one. Why do plumbers always put things in the tightest place? must be to put you off doing it yourself, anyway it also needed new valves!!! The last time I replaced the pump was approximately 15 years ago and I am sure it was easier then! Still turn off the rads and drain the pipework replace the pump and valves, fill and bleed, all done, you can adjust the pump in two ways, either pick the speed yourself or hold the button for 5 or 6 seconds and it does the speed automatically so we do not have to worry about it, when in this mode the light on the pump flashes so you know it is right. What more can I say, it is quiet, does what it should and if it lasts 15 years it is money well spent.

It was easy enough, but the cable clamps are quite fiddly ...
Ok, just fitted it. It was easy enough, but the cable clamps are quite fiddly and need a screwdriver to push them down. Really you need to double the stripped wire over to give it enough rigidity to push through the clamp. Definitely a retrograde step after the old ones that you can open with your finger! However the pump is working fine, is quiet, and the speed setting is very simple; push the button and the appropriate led for the speed lights up, push it again and the next led lights up, and so on.

The pump doesn't have faults, but the company does.
I bought this pump as a replacement to one which has been running for 30 odd years, without bother. Until it stopped that is. There was nothing mechanically wrong with the old pump, but it would not run. Grundfoss do NOT supply spares. The new pump appeared to be well mad, if expensive. However the instrtructions on fitting it were appalling and as a consequence, a wire jammed in the connection block. On attempting to get it out, the crimped metal sleeve on the end came away, and resisted all efforts to get it out. Despite the unit being modular (in fact you have to assemble it yourself) Grundfoss do NOT supply any of the three modules which make up the pump. Their customer support group were very unhelpful, and if I need another pump, it will not be sourced from Grundfoss, In the end, I bought a new run capacitor from Maplin, for less than a tenner, which fixed up my old pump.

Excellent GAS BOILERS, PARTS AND SPARES.
Excellent easy to install and working well. Check out video on grundfos site, its easy to fit and wire you can just change the pump head by undoing the hex screws if your pipework and back panel of your old pump is in good condition and compatible. The wiring gland slides out from the pump body and the terminal block unplugs for easier wiring. For a two pipe radiator system you can put the pump into pressure sensing mode which lowers the pump speed and electricity consumption (7-48w A rated )when there is a smaller demand from closing thermostatic valves on radiators. To set just hold the pump speed button in for five seconds. I have not tried this mode yet as this was used between an oil boiler and neutraliser. Would recommend. Seller GAS BOILERS, PARTS AND SPARES. Just ordered another for a spare !!

Not as described!
The pictures and description show a new pump but when it arrived it was clearly very second hand and used. Packaging says it cannot be returned if opened but you can't see its second hand until you open it. What a rip off. will never use Hanricks again.

Energy efficient pump
Pump purchased to replace twenty year old grundfos pump that was still working but not powe efficient. Repacmend direct replacment and required no alterations to fit new pump. Now running very quietly and operating at lowest speed setting saving me money.

Replacement for GF 15-50
I've noticed some people complaining about the electric connections of this pump being too fiddly. I believe this is because they simply didn't realise that the whole block of terminals is detachable. It's like a plug and a socket. So you are supposed to simply unplug the terminals from their socket on the pump, attach all the wires in the way similar to how you do it with any pendant light and then plug the terminals back. It's super-handy. But it can be really fiddly if you try to attach the wires in-situ, without unplugging the terminals first. That's my 5 cents about this pump mainly.Regarding the pump itself – it just works as a replacement of my old Grundfos 15-50. Can't tell you how good or bad it is until it fails :-)
