Excellent and reasonably priced mouse.
I bought this for friends, having used many mice over the years, and being asked for a decent quality piece of wireless kit that would work well and last a while. Nicely made, accurate, responsive and with a good feature set for it's cost, the M560 is a quality wireless mouse that makes it's batteries last for a very very long time. It's not a rechargeable type, but it cost less than half the price of most of those types, and having to change a couple of standard batteries every several months is hardly a hardship. The forward and back buttons on the side, intended for use by the thumb (only really right-hander friendly) are awesome for internet research sessions. On the other hand, if you don't like Logitech's speed scroll feature, the scroll wheel on this will annoy you. The mouse is not a full size gamers mouse, but a sort of mid-sized office and internet use device. It has very little weight to it's self, but once you have a couple of good quality batteries in it, it reaches a decent and usable weight. You really should install Logitech's own mouse drivers to get the most out of the mouse in general, tho this is not always apparent as it will give basic functionality as a plug & play device. All in all, a very good mouse for portable use (the reciever for it's wireless reciever is of the "unified" type and so is very small - perfect for laptops) and for users that are not going to need a mouse to use for long intense gaming sessions. Competitively priced with other quality wireless mice.

Easy installation, comfortable and functional.
I was slightly surprised with the size and weight of the mouse. Slightly bigger and lighter than expected but comfortable to handle for long periods of time and works fine with my Windows 8 notepad. Installation took no more than a couple of minutes; plug the wireless receiver into an available USB port, wait for a couple of minutes, switch the mouse 'on' and that's it. Effortless. Receiver sits almost flush to the keyboard and doesn't get in the way. Buttons are firm not flimsy and nicely placed for easy usage. I would advise you press down quite hard on the middle button if you want a smooth 'scroll' through long documents. It can feel a little 'bumpy' otherwise Requires 1 x AAA battery, included, and comes with user instructions plus 3 year manufacturer's guarantee. Logitech provide product support and their website is worth a visit for updates and further info. Happy to recommend.

Quick delivery and a great purchase, well done me
Quick delivery and a great purchase, well done me! But honestly, Logitech has done a great job making a nice mouse. I have looking for a normal size wireless mouse and decided to splash out. On Amazon it is around ÂŁ10 cheaper than Logitech's own website, P&P not included. This mouse support Unify, where you only need one bluetooth dongle to attached multiple devices, I have got a keyboard and this mouse attached. Decent grip, nice rubberish feel to it. It took me couple of days to get used to this mouse. I have been using it for about 1 week so far I am quite happy with it. So far no negatives.

Excellent - but it will fail with time
Even though expensive, this is a good mouse, sturdy, well made, no rattling sounds, and the scroll wheel has two physical modes of turning: either super smooth scroll so you can roll it really fast to scroll down pages, or stepped roll motion, so you can control the scrolling click by click. There are other mice in the region of ÂŁ12 but I would not bother with all those cheap unknown makes again as I bought three, two broke down within two weeks (double clicking on their own) and the last one broke 4 months in, the scroll wheel does not click turn anymore. So you may think you are saving money and ÂŁ30-35 sounds a lot for a mouse but the only realistic options are the microsoft wireless series which are well made but have a horribly smooth wheel, or this one. Update 18/9/2017 I have bought and used two of these mice and both have failed in the same way indicating a design/manufacturing fault. After some use, typically the right mouse button will start failing to click, and it will require a harder press, until it is so pronounced that the button is broken. Eventually the same fate will befall the left button. On inspection of both broken mice it appears that the micro switches inside the mouse, even though plastic, have cut a dent, a groove, on the plastic tab which is what you press down on and what makes contact with the switch. As a result of this groove the micro switch cannot be depressed any more. I have repaired both mice by dropping a tiny amount of superglue so as to bridge this groove and restore the tab. However this method also fails after a while, and all this opening and closing the mouse has left the top rather loose and rattling. I am very disappointed that such an expensive mouse has such a basic fault that renders it unusable after a while. I have had two such mice failing in the exact same way, and one was not used by me.

Replacement for the M510 Mouse, why?
Big disappointment, the wheel is too cumbersome and stiff to use. Side switching is hard and not positive. I like to program the wheel to double click but the software doesn't offer this as an option. The action of pressing down the wheel is much harder than other Logitech mice. M560 was specially designed for Windows 8. The M510 mouse is already Windows 8 friendly, simple and easy to use. My wife destroyed the packaging for the M560 mouse before I had tried it. So I'm stuck with it! In my opinion the M510 is still the best mouse that Logitech produce. I am not blaming the supplier or complaining about the delivery and service. Which was as good as I have learned to expect from Amazon. I just wonder why Logitech tried to fix something that wasn't broken.

Love this mouse
Love this mouse, I use it daily with a laptop. The size of it fits perfectly in your hand and it has a small place to put the USB dongle when it's not in use - though the dongle is so small you don't notice it on a large laptop! Buttons have a nice click to them and are mapped using their software, forward & back are very useful and the middle button being mapped to the start menu has grown on me. Mapping the left and right scroll to be the usual scroll press solves the lack of the usual button, which is used to switch the scroll type to be smooth or not

Nice but not perfect
Good build as is the norm with Logitech. Roller scroll function is novel and works well. One issue is that the L&R buttons can be clicked by, for example, accidentally moving the mouse and touching your keyboard or a book on your desk. I stopped using the mouse for this reason and keep it as a spare.

so day to use is a better experience but the build quality feels cheaper
It's an improvement on the old version because of the free scrolling wheel and a separate middle mouse button, so day to use is a better experience but the build quality feels cheaper. Had it for 4 months, works perfectly but the perceived quality is less and that's why I take one star away, other than that perfect.
