Call of Duty: Black Ops III (PS4)

good little game great graphics as you would expect on a next gen computer but I miss the old call of duty black ops I think they have ruined it by going the way of advanced warfare and adding jet packs into the game I wish they had kept to the way black ops 1 and 2 I loved those 2 games.. I love the zombies but come on treyarch really GIANT its just der rise you've had that map on all 3 of your games now it was a good map on B.O 1 but there's nothing to do on it apart from sitting at the top of the stairs its just boring now, that's the one thing about black ops I have never liked and that is with copying the maps and guns and just updating them its just lazy. campaign. I can't really review as I only played the first couple of missions but from that it was ok again apart from the exo suit jumping crap zombies. I have always loved zombies with black ops and I have always played them a lot (and I am very good at them) shadows of evil is a great little map and I love that there is more to do like the rituals and finding the parts for the special weapon, riot shield and getting the sword the map is very good its an old fashioned map with a new generation game and weapons there are a couple of problems with it like some times when the host leaves it sometimes ends the games (BUT they can/will be fixed with updates) sometimes in the loading screen it wont load up a game it will just have the screen were your character is sitting by the fire (but again that will probably be fixed with updates) all in all the zombies is good fun apart from der riese AKA now GIANT it was a great little map on black ops 1 and was still a good map on black ops 2 but now it is just boring and now I cant stand the map and after a couple of hours everyone just leaves the game because of boredom I cant wait to see what maps they got coming up but I hope its not just an old one updated unless its KINO :-) multiplayer. the multiplayer is good and I like that they have put the specialty's in there and the guns on there are good but for me black ops is getting to nooby with everyone caring to much about there KD so all anyone does is camps or runs around with amplify which has to be the thing I have hated most about C.O.D I have turtle beach headphones and I have used it just to see how effective it is and most of my mates us it but I am against it and for me it ruins the game everyone is using it now and I understand why trayarch left it in but I thought that they would at least make dead silence more effective with it especially seen as you cant unlock it until level 50 or you unlock it once you have prestiged and like I said above I don't like that they have went the way advanced warfare with the exo suits they should of just kept it like black ops 1 and 2. all in all its a good game but it could of been better

I never played the Call of Duty games until Black Ops 2 came out cos I've never been much of a First - Person Shooter fan but after that, I bought Modern Warfare 3 than 2 and 3 was alright but 2 I didn't like after the first playthough. See, how I look at it is that the Modern Warfare games are Call of Duty's proper First - Person Shooters and then they desided to start on Black Ops later on and all them black ops and Ghosts and Advanced Warfare are like them saying "let's make some futuristic shooters for fun and keep Modern Warfare as the main ones so people have to stop with all this criticism about it turning into futuristic crap when personally I think that Call of Duty are trying to make two different types of shooters and I bet that if they made another Modern Warfare that it will be simular to the others and Black Ops, Ghosts & Advanced Warfare are their own different types of games. I only buy Call of Duty for online cos I think it's pretty fun with everything you can do and the Campaign's aren't really something I'm that interested in cos it's just shoot and progress but with the online gameplay you have so much to unlock and s***, I do agree that the no Nuke town map is pretty stupid and idiotic but just think about how far Black Ops have come with only the 3rd game being a total change to the 2nd Black Ops game and in my opinion the Black Ops games have got better with this one being a huge leap forward with the looks and gameplay. Just wish the servers were a bit better cos I die a lot sometimes but when I first played Black Ops 3 I did better hmmm...😕haha so I recommend this game to anyone that loves fun, fast - pasted shooters and doesn't mind sometimes dying a lot or playing with tons of futuristic features. If you prefer the classic Modern Warfare shooters with more realistic gameplay then don't buy this cos I'm afraid you'll be very disappointed indeed.

I had the original Atari as a kid, when it came out at the end of the 70's/early 80's, yes I'm that old, and always had computers and consoles. However, for the last 10 years I gave them a rest so never really played COD except for a quick go on a mate's PS3. Recently I impulse bought a PS4 after seeing a few Youtube videos of GTA V (PS4) and how amazing the graphics were. And it is a truly stunning game. Looks amazing on 50" Sony Bravia. I noticed COD Black Ops III was coming out and a mate recommend it so I pre-ordered. I used to play Medal of Honour and Wolfenstein on the PS2 and there's nothing more satisfying than killing some Germans in a WWII scenario. WOW! How these war games have moved on. Yes the world has changed, with the Middle East etc, but deserts aren't anywhere as good as trenches in the snow. I played the zombies part of the game while waiting for the campaign to install. I was really blown away by the graphics and soundtrack, however, it's ridiculously difficult. After just 4 rounds the zombies seem to be faster than Bolt and there are no real vantage points. I got bored quickly and got into the campaign. As some other reviewers have already mentioned, the fantasy/sci-fi part of the game is really over-the-top and quite annoying to play, however, they have executed it really well and the graphics are amazing. I'm playing on rookie so it's not too difficult, but the respawning is really annoying as you can get killed before you even know where you are. There are some great intense scenes when you just think 'WHOA', it's really immersive and offers a great movie/game experience. As I mentioned I do prefer WWII type scenarios and was surprised when treated to some old skool action. I only wished the whole game was like that, it's sooooooooo much better, I think you'll agree. All out action is fun, and stealth can be boring, but it needs to be balanced and it's not balanced in this game. This is all out action. I sympathise with veteran gamers who gave this 1 star, but it is harsh. It's fun to play so far, but I am no means in awe of this game and think it's the best thing since sliced bread. £40+ is a bit steep. I have also ordered Fallout 4. And am still yet to play The Last of Us Remastered, so good things to come. If you don't mind paying £40 then Black Ops III is worth a look. If you're a veteran who prefers the older COD games, then you can maybe sit this one out.

I was very cautious of getting another call of duty game, because the last one i really enjoyed was black ops 1, which in my opinion was the last good cod. The last few cods like mw3 was alright but not the best, black ops 2 i never enjoyed, ghosts was a mess and i returned it within a few hours playing it, advanced warfare was better but still quiet bad. But as soon i tried black ops 3 i started enjoying online multiplayer again, it had been a few years since i last put effort into cod, i have to say treyarch have done a good job and have made cod fun again. Although i do feel they went way too far with the future gadgets and thing like that, but still this is a last cod. Do not get put off from other reviewers who have rated this game without even giving it a proper go, because this game is very good and you should try playing it for atleast a few weeks before considering if you like it or not.

Everything about this game is amazing the gameplay so smooth and the graphics omg out of this world. I love the new features with this game like the wall run and the shooting under water epic. It has loads of new gadgets and skills you can unlock. I have just noticed all the bad reviews for this game on hear which makes me laugh as most of them Amazon have not even verified them for having this cod game. So they are just giving bad reviews for the sake of it 😏 I wouldn't worry about them to much since they are clearly just upset with there own lives with being stuck in there grandmothers basement and not being able to afford this game. The other ones talking crap that have got the game verified I can just imagine they can't play FPS games so they die a lot on it and then cry a lot and blame the game for there incompetence. Don't listen to the low reviews this is by far the best cod game ever!!

This game firstly arrived in great condition and I'm very happy that I got it for £20 in a sale. I've given it this rating for the quality of the game itself rather than the condition it arrived in. Single Player: The single player was a better experience than I was expecting, Positives being that I actually liked choosing my own layout for each mission and having the multiplayer customisation experience put into the campaign, also the story is much better than some of the previous COD entries. However the pacing was garbage, it took around 6-7 hours of explosions and stale missions before things actually got interesting, even then the story tried to overcomplicate itself (I had to google the ending to understand what happened fully). As soon as the sotry started going I became more and more motivated to finish the campaign. Difficulty has been well balanced, very few difficulty spikes although the realistic difficulty is a bit much. Veteran is bad enough, but getting killed in one shot gives you no chance at all of progressing in a fun and challenging manner. At the end of the day this was a strong campaign and a definite step in the right direction in terms of storyline. Multiplayer: Didn't do much to separate itself from other entries. Felt like I was playing Black ops 2 or Advanced warfare DLC than a separate game. Maps are uninspired, only 1 new game mode where you escort a robot to a certain destination which suffered big balancing problems. It was almost impossible to keep the robot from moving toward the destination when on the opposing team. Gun models looked far too similar to previous entries. Good effort with the class systems, but I felt like it wasn't really enough to separate it out from other games, except when the prophet class does the cheapest new move... travelling back 5-6 seconds before you shoot them to then take you out when you should have got the kill. So overall it was a mediocre online multiplayer that needs some more innovation to make it stand out. Zombies: I'm personally getting a bit sick of zombies, it has been overused in COD. But I think this mode was very entertaining and expanded well on the existing formula. With more monsters, more secrets to discover and cool map designs. A solid experience. Overview: Average game with a strong single player and zombie element. 6/10 rating from me. Please note: I did not get any DLC for this game so I have not included that in this review.
