Perfect for Bedding Plants and Gardening Projects
The Pillow Wad Straw in the large size has been a fantastic addition to my gardening supplies. It’s clean, well-packed, and perfect for mulching, protecting plants, and creating that classic straw bed look. The size is generous, providing plenty of coverage without being too bulky or messy to handle. I’ve used it to cover soil around seedlings, and it helps retain moisture and reduce weed growth effectively. The straw is fresh, not dusty, and easy to spread evenly. It’s also biodegrades nicely, making it an eco-friendly choice for my garden. Overall, this straw is high quality and exactly what I needed for my gardening and landscaping projects. Highly recommended!

Nice straw but has seeds which sprout - I'd recommend microwaving it before use.
This is nice straw, but I have only given it 4 stars because I used it on a couple of containers with strawberry plants and they were quickly surrounded by grass which is obviously seeds among the straw sprouting. I would strongly recommend trying to microwave your straw if you are planning to use it as any form of mulch. Other than that, I have no issues with it and I will buy it again if/when I need more (one bag covers a decent area).

Straw.
Bought for hedgehog 🦔 houses in the garden and wow does it go a long way. Still got 1/2 bag left so we put a couple of plantpots in the shed with straw in as we know we get the odd mouse in there.

Don't use as mulch - it germinates!
Don't use it as mulch on strawberries - it has germinated and now I have a bed of grass with my strawberry plants!

Purchased to help with algae in my koi pond. Seems to help but not some miracle aid. You still have to clean your system often and do hand removal.
