I purchased this power supply for my TDK TrekMax A34 as the manufacturer's one became damaged.This is exactly what it says: A DC, 12 volt, 2 amp power supply. I was a little worried about purchasing an aftermarket power supply for my beloved portable speaker, since with aftermarket technology there are a lot of variables that can go wrong. Overheating, catching on fire, destroying the battery, etc. All very costly things to the speaker which I had invested a lot of money in.However, this works just as well as the manufacturer's. I have not noticed any defections in temperature or charging speed.This is a green status LED on the plug that tells you when it is plugged in. Quite handy if you're skeptical about it from the moment you attach it to the wall. Rest assured, it isn't necessary.The cable is only 1 meter long, and as with any cable, will feel shorter as it has to bend away from the plug and around whatever furniture you have, so make sure this is long enough first!As with any generic power supply, make sure you purchase the correct size! This is 5.5mm x 2.1mm. It fit my speaker well as intended, but it will not fit other spec plugs such as my external hard drive and my mini guitar amp. Make sure you know the size, possibly by cross-referencing with other plugs to work out what size is must be. Another common size is 5.5mm x 2.5mm, which is hard to distinguish from!Overall, if this is the correct voltage, current and size for your appliance, then purchase this and you'll have no worries!

it lets out 12 volts, what can i say,when i took it apart it had a red LED inside, this is hidden usually, so its a universal circuit board in there so might not last forever, also my model helicopter battery wanted 12v dc, i cut the wires on this (as the charger only used croc clips) but this did not charge it, i don't know why, the charger was saying over current consumption

Just brilliant!.I was having bad picture problems with my cctv. I changed everything from cameras to cables and could not figure out what was going wrong.I was informed it could be my power source might not be holding out due to running the 4 cameras through the "4in1" cable Swann supply and I might need a bigger amp and mA . I purchased this and as soon as I plugged it into my camera lead all 4 cameras were crystal clear.There is a very slight "Hum" From the plug, but like everything in life, you soon forget about it.I never had any problems with over heating of the unit and I have been using it for a couple of months now.

I needed a new 12v power supply for my external hard drive and this suited my needs. I looked at it's review star rating and all seemed well. It comes in a very basic box but works perfectly. It does feel a bit cheaply made but as long as you are not constantly pulling at it then the build should be fine. However upon coming here to leave a review I read the following information on one review..."The ac/dc adapters all failed inspection as they did not meet the minimum standard stated in the electrical equipment (safety) regulation 1994. With reference to BSEN60950 BS1363 part 1"This concerns me, I try to avoid anything that does not pass UK safety standards. At this point all I can do is keep an eye on it and be careful. Does exactly what I wanted it to do. It is the power supply I bought for the 2 relay controller which I use to switch on my heating (hot water and/or radiators) via a text message. I knew I would need at least 1 Amp at 12 Volts but bought the 2 Amp at 12 Volts for extra safety. It runs without getting warm let alone hot. Exactly what I had hoped for. Delivery was really quick too. Well pleased.

Bought 3 of these to power short strips of led lightning.1 failed immediately, then during the next three months another unit fell in half leaving all the electronics exposed and the last onethe led lights suddenly became very dim so i assume this one is about to give up. they all run VERY hot too.They may be cheap but its money down the drain.

I have a SWANN 9000 DVR with 4 camera CCTV system and the main power supply that drives the base unit failed. Simply replaced it with this, it booted up and worked perfectly! SWANN wanted 3x the price for theirs, will gladly recommend this as a replacement PSU for out of warranty SWANN kit.

Used this item on my to power a CCTV camera and it failed after 4 months.
