Used this to hang a very heavy, circular piece of wooden wall art.No issues and the result looks fab.Simple to use, adjustable an inch or so left or right if you haven't placed it completely where you want it and invisible when in use. I have two big pieces displayed using these cleats and they both sit more or less flush to the wall.

This item came as described but the screws that came with it are not suitable for mounting on studs. I gave it five stars because it is very close to flush. There is only about an 1/8" gap between the wall and the thing you're mounting. The kit comes with adequate drywall anchors but the screws were suspect, so I upgraded and suggest you do the same. As you can see on the fifth photo, I cut 1x1.5" cedar mounting braces to account for the wing hinges and because I didn't want screws ripping out of my grandpa's mirror if the cleats didn't hold the weight they said they did. I used two pair for stability, one on top and one on bottom. That mirror weighs roughly 50lbs give or take a few. It feels very stable as mounted in the photo with these cleats. I can open and close the wings without any movement or wobbling from the main.Each cleat has six mounting holes. Mine are bolted each into one stud and the remaining five holes on drywall with anchors. You can see what the mount would look like on the back side in photo three and the screws and anchors it comes with in the fourth photo. I'd recommend it for at least 50 lbs on two pair because that's the weight I mounted successfully, but it feels like you could go a little heavier.

The cleats are well made - straight, uniform, fit together. The screws for attaching cleat to hanging item are adequate. The screws for attaching cleat to drywall are too small in length and diameter and plastic anchors unlikely to hold. Replaced with appropriate stainless or even galvanized screws, and screw-in expanding plastic flush anchors. Real problem is the company, which appears to just repackage mfrs.' goods. Ordered 4 cleats to hang four pictures arrayed flush on wall. Cleats arrived loosely packed into plastic envelopes with open (unsealed) ends folded over to retain cleat and hardware envelope. Screw packets found loose in Amazon box for 2 of 4, and hardware envelope for one missing completely. Replacement promised in 3 days, then extended another 2 days, then another, with no record yet of it having been shipped after 10 days. Perhaps no supply or poor logistics, but misleading tracking leaves me with 3 pictures hung and waiting for matching replacement. Amazon finally came through with full refund and no need to return the hardware-less cleat. Suggest looking for another source of these cleats besides this company, and DO NOT TRUST their tracking of shipments.
