Universal Top and Bottom Toilet Seat Fixings

I have one of these modern toilets with a soft close seat, where you can't access the bolts holding the seat in place...everything is enclosed! The seat has been loose for ages and i couldn't figure out how to secure it as there seemed no way to get a nut on a new bolt. This kit has solved the problem and the seat is now secure again. The rubber grommets in the kit have a threaded section so you can just push them into the holes in the top of the toilet pan and when you tighten the screw it expands and tightens itself into the hole, without the need of a bolt on the other end of the screw. Hope this is helpful for anyone else who might be having the same problem. A cheap fix and fast delivery. very pleased

The first time I used the kit the seat soon worked loose again. In the end I took the fixings that the seat came with originally and the new kit picked out the best bits from both kits and now everything is fastened really tight and works well.

Once I had worked out how to use them (some instructions would be helpful) they secured the seat very well. Better than the fittings that came with the loo. Unfortunately they have still allowed the seat fittings to move and will need re-aligning again, but they have lasted much longer and the design means they can just be re-positioned easily and efficiently. Worth the investment but not perfect!

Strong metallic screws, and hard plastic nuts and washers I got them as replacement for the plastic ones that came with the seat when it was first installed that broke yesterday at night. These fixing are easy to install u just need a screw driver and they are very strong they held the cover in its place, they will fit any toilet seat. If you need any fixings get these ones highly recomended

Purchased these as the seat I had purchased had the flimsy plastic bolts, these are much better as they are metal bolts and you can tighten them up more, the rubber bungs slide into the holes perfect and when you tighten the bolts they squash up in the holes making a good tight fit. There is only one problem with these and that is they are supplied with 2 soft plastic washers, when you tighten the bolts the washers crush down into the holes and you need to be careful you do not tighten the bolt so much it pushes through the washer. I understand why plastic and not metal ( Metal will rust ) but they would be much better supplied with 2 metal washers, I picked 2 up from my works and this has made my seat much more secure. They are very easy to fit done in a matter of minutes, simply remove old bolts clean around the area and fit the new bolts. Place the rubber bungs in holes and fit seat. If you are having problems with your seat sliding side to side then these are your solution buy them.

Very good idea. They work perfectly and solve the slipping toilet seat problem. Fitting Tip : When you push the black rubber grommets through your toilet holes they may not go all the way through fully. Mine didn’t anyway. Rather than risk breaking your porcelain toilet by tapping them with a hammer just use the bolts from the underneath. Gently screw them in a few mill then pull down on the bolt. The grommets should then seat correctly in the hole and you can then remove the bolt and put it through the top hole correctly.

Arrived very promptly. Good quality. Absolutely easy, straightforward fix for a broken soft close seat. One tip which might help is to only partially tighten up the screws, allow the seat to close down - so you can check the seat lines up with the bowl, and ideally overhangs every so slightly - so you can get your fingers underneath to lift it up. Once you've checked the fitted - then tighten up the screws. Overall Excellent - I'd happily recommend and buy again.
