These glasses really work!
Really pleased I ordered these glasses. Firstly, I have chronic migraine and am constantly sensitive to light. Secondly, I need bifocals due to both myopia and presbyopia. I ordered these glasses because of the positive reviews and because I was in need of some way of improving my symptoms. They are surprisingly helpful and I’ve used them much more than I’d expected. For me, the plus is that I can slip them on over my bifocals and that means I can see into the distance and do close up work without any issues. The green lenses are brilliant at ‘calming’ what you see - particularly helpful when there is strong sunlight coming in through a kitchen window for example. The lenses definitely help with light sensitivity / photophobia. I have a set of bifocals with large circular frames and the Migralens glasses are big enough to fit over them which is great! The side panels with the green lens within is a brilliant idea and the frame design basically excludes light getting in from above or below the frame which is ingenious and really works! The frames are sturdy so I feel they will last quite well with careful use. The reasonable price means I don’t have to be too precious about them so I have them set ready to use if sunlight is high or I’m going for a walk etc. I’m considering getting a second pair to keep in a different location. The glasses are a bit bulky and the frame is a black plastic so they’re not the most flattering frames but as a functioning simple way of helping migraine-related visual symptoms I think they’re brilliant, and I can vouch that using them over prescription glasses has worked well for me. I do wonder if they would also work for people with dyslexia or Irlen syndrome/scotipic sensitivity syndrome who find coloured overlays helpful. I like the fact that MigraLens is made by a small family run business based in the UK - it’s good to support local and perhaps the firm could create a brown/tortoiseshell more fashionable frame with these lenses someday!?!

Wonderful sunglasses for migraine sufferers to wear over prescription glasses
These sun glasses are so good. I have been using them for years. This is a replacement pair. They fit comfortably over my prescription glasses, but the most important thing is that they cut out my light related migraines right down, to the point that, if I get a migraine now it is very rarely sunlight related and that used to be one of my main triggers. The glasses are helpful because they go right around the eyes so you don't get glare from over the top of the glasses or round the sides as you would with ordinary sunglasses. Also they cut out the particular range of light that can trigger migraine. They are quite big, chunky glasses to wear (my sons used to call them my Willy Wonker glasses) but I don't care at all because they help so much. Equally other people have said how much they like them and asked me wear I bought them so it's all a matter of taste anyway. I have just come home from a holiday in the south of France and discovered that I can swim in the pool and the sea wearing these glasses (obviously being careful to keep my head above the water). This made a huge difference to holiday headaches too. If you suffer from migraines or light related headaches these glasses are fantastic. I can't recommend them enough.

Great relief for migraine brain, but quality is not good as it should be for such a high price!
I bought these migraine glasses just under 4 years ago, but hadn't really used them much as I had other bluelight blockers. However, I've become super sensitive to light - even sunlight which is increasing my migraines, so I've started wearing them. They do give relief - even more than the orange blue light blocking glasses, however, the downside is that the arms pinch and can cause pain and headache. I've only been wearing them for about two weeks and today, the right arm just snapped in two! This is a major problem, because unlike other migraine glasses, that have adjustable arms, these rely on being pulled apart as they 'fit' round your head and pinch behind the ears! The plastic is so thin, and presumably it has become brittle over time even without any use! Add to that the fact that they've increased by £20 - I can't say they're value for money (especially as they have no adjustable arms like cheaper glasses do)! I'll have to buy another pair, but will shop around :-(

Very happy with them.
They worked really well for me to ease extreme light sensitivity to both daylight and artificial light and to lessen migraine symptoms such as head pain/dizziness. For me personally, they enabled me to look at a computer monitor and phone with migraine symptoms and extreme light sensitivity for a period of time without worsening my symptoms, which was unexpected. The glasses do have a green tint which is not as pleasant to look through as some other colours but I think the green tint is very soothing when I have light sensitivity and migraine so I assume that is why they are green. On the company's website it states that the glasses absorb blue and red light which helps with migraine symptoms, this may be why these glasses work a lot better than other tinted lenses for me personally and it may be worth paying the extra money and taking a punt on them if other glasses haven't worked. They are probably at the right balance of tint so that you can see what you are doing in fairly low light as well. A life-changing purchase for me to be able to cope with light sensitivity and I hope they work for others too. I'm really glad I bought them. I'll be getting the lens put in a frame of my choosing very soon. EDIT: If you are extremely light sensitive permanently to artificial lights you could try doubling up on Migralens, one pair of smaller Migralens glasses underneath these like I have. It works well and I can still see ok unless it’s dark when I’m outside and then I take one pair off.

Works for migraines & headaches.
Unfortunately these glasses were lost in the post as the seller does not send them via recorded delivery. However after contacting the seller they immediately issued a replacement care which were received very quickly. The glasses themselves are very lightweight and comfortable to wear, and most importantly fit over my prescription glasses without any problems. I work in an office with very bright fluorescent lighting, (light above my desk is switched off due to bright lights being a significant trigger for my migraines), and I have to attend daily meetings, and these have been a godsend, as I previously had to wear a sun-visor which looked totally ridiculous! The only down-side is the fact that these are only supplied with a drawstring material carry-case, and not a hard-shell case. I like to keep these glasses in my hand-bag (as I often have problems with the bright lights in shops), and am worried that I may break them. I have recently purchased two hard-shell glasses cases (designed to house large sunglasses), however the Migralens glasses are too large to fit in either. It would be most useful if these glasses were either supplied with a hard case, or their was an option to pay a little extra to purchase a hard case with your order.

Overpriced
Fit over glasses fine, green tint is ok and clear to view. But not sure they work against migraine. I think as they are sold as medical device they are way way way overpriced. They are not much different to the dark overglasses bought for a fraction of the price.

Smiling Migraine sufferer
I did not belief I could find a product that would provide such quick relief to my continuous migraine for 3 weeks. It has changed my life in 1 day. Still have symptoms but they are manageable and the increase in intensity with activity in light has decreased. The quality of the lens means objects are not distorted. Arms are flexible and the unit is light. Packaging delivery could be better and would be good it it came in a case but guess trying to keep price down. Hope they can create a "prettier" version but if not will have this any day for the relief it brings. This is an up date from when I bought it as I just found it broken near the hinge after 18 month of intense use. I am not sure it is product defect but likely my robust usage and sleeping with it during an intense migraine. If they could be made stronger but not heavier that would be great. It has served well as over glasses and I am buying another before I no longer have this one to use as well as another to wear by themselves. As a over glass great with screens and TV. The lens coverage protection is ideal for me and with the sun out again I realise how essential they are for me. I still get intense migraine but these glassed buy me time effectively and sooth the level of pain behind the eyes.

A must for migraine sufferers who need to keep on working.
I brought these for myself as I have migraines and my workplace has said I cannot keep taking time off. I also have to wear prescription glasses so brought the overwrap one's. Initially I was sent the wrap around ones. Which were no use to me. I contacted the company and they were brilliant. They sent me the correct pair and as an apology to keep the incorrect pair I wanted to return. Hubby is thrilled as his migraines leave him very photophobic, and these cut down the light which reduces his pain so he can function. He loves them. The overwrap one's are chunky and I did a bit odd, (I have a small head) but work have great about it. These are amazing. They cut down on the light, plus the glare from the computer screens and the fluorescent lights as well. This helps lessen the intensity and pain stimulus. They are so comfortable as well. I don't notice I'm wearing to pairs of glasses and they don't cause any pinching or digging in of the first pair. Which is very handy if the migraine is going on for hours. I couldn't imagine not having them and it's handy to have nearby if you get an unexpected migraine attack.

Excellent product don't hesitate to purchase
I just received these glasses a week earlier than estimated and I am already in love with them. They are larger than I am used to however they are so comfortable and easy to wear that I don't mind the size. When outside my eyes regularly water and I just want to keep them closed to block out the light. With these glasses no more watery eyes or squinting with the light and I don't have the desire to keep my eyes closed. Looking forward to seeing my headaches disappear or at least be reduced in severity and frequency and I believe these might just be capable of accomplishing this. Thank you so much I am actually excited to wear these.

Love these!
This review is very late, but these glasses have been a God-send! I wear them at work when I feel a migraine starting, which sometimes is enough to stop it from developing (yay!), and also when I have a full-blown one that I have to ride out for 2-6 days. The pain is still there, but it is definitely decreased. Light from any source feels like an ice-pick in my eye, so any relief is very welcome! I also wear them driving and doing yard work, and they make a huge difference in whether or not a migraine develops. They do change the color of the stop lights, but I don't have a problem with that. The company is amazing - they emailed me to see if I had received mine within the estimated deliver time. I hadn't, and they were able to determine that mine had been held up on the East coast during the early days of the pandemic. They told me they were sending another pair, and then mine showed up the next day... I emailed to let them know I had received them, but the company had already shipped the second pair, and I was told to just keep them both, which was extremely generous. I now have one pair at my desk and one in the car. As someone who has suffered from migraines for 40 years. and who has tried almost everything for relief, I know not everything works for everyone, but I believe these are definitely worth trying!

I can't live without them now
I've had my glasses for months and they help me sooo much! I bought this pair for my mom. We both get migraines that cause severe vision changes, vertigo, light sensitivity, etc. I even wear mine inside when I have a migraine, especially when my 7 year old wants to spend time with me. We curl up and watch a movie and wearing the glasses during the movie makes the migraine bearable. My mom recently tried mine during a 4 day migraine. She almost never took them off because they helped so much. She HAD to get her own. I split the cost with her. I'm a person that normally buys dollar store glasses and took a big leap buying these at the price, especially after trying so many other migraine glasses, to no avail. I can't wait to be able to afford another pair for myself (like to try a different style). I'd pay for these over and over. I'm excited my mom will have her own pair.... to help her and so I can keep my own! I can't thank whoever developed these enough. I put them on as soon as pressure in my head starts and 90% of the time they make my migraines bearable or prevent the headaches from turning into migraines, even just wearing around the house. I have so many less days that I'm confined to my bed that feels like a prison on bad migraine days.
