Banz Shelta Australia Protector Shelta U V Pop-Up Beach Tent – Blue, 1.95 x 1.95 m

I chose this tent as it specifically had UV protection stated, and in fact on the tent. I didn't get a chance to try it out before taking it to the beach, but it was so simple to put up first time I needn't have worried. It was also easy to put down, although it didn't pack away as tightly, it still fitted into the carry bag easy so no wrestling with it. My husband hates sitting in the sun as he burns easy,but he was happy in the tent. He could watch all that was going on and even had 40 winks in it! We didn't have chairs but just sat on the floor of the tent. I would take a small soft hand brush to sweep the sand/debri out of the 'floor' that gets walked in. We have a dog, hence this remark! The beach bags were kept sand free and helped act as weights inside the tent. All in all I can't think of a negative with this tent, admittedly it is the first and only tent I have ever bought, so I have no other ones to compare it with use wise, but we are 100% pleased with it, and it is not heavy to swing over your shoulder in the carry bag either. I bought this product as I had become fed up with lugging the old fashioned wind-break down to the beach whilst trying to manhandle two small children and all their associated kit. This beach tent addresses all the problems that wind-breaks have. Firstly, it is very light and comes with a shoulder strap so you still have both your hands free. It folds up into a very neat size which will fit easily into any car boot. The big plus though must be its ease of assembly (and disassembly). We've (you do need two people to be honest) put it up in pretty high winds in under two minutes, and that includes the time to fill each of the four side pockets with sand to anchor it down. Once up, there is plenty of room for two adults and a couple a small children, although it's unlikely they'll stay put in the tent in even the worst weather!Whilst I've given this product five stars my other half wanted to knock off one star for the lack of a front entrance flap as this means you can't get complete privacy. However, my joy at being able to dispatch the wind-break to the tip means it get full marks from me.

I was really looking forward to getting this product and using it. First things first is there is no instructions on how to assemble even online. Takes a little bit of thinking if your not used to pop up tents. But once you get the gist it's an easy thing to do.......unless the support poles to give the roof tension have "popped out". 2 of my poles were not fitted in their brackets and they are impossible to fit back in without drilling out the rivers holding the other side. This must only be done at the factory when they are first assembled. Other reviews have also mentioned this. If you open the package and the support poles are not in the brackets don't even bother trying to fit them as it will be a waste of time......please look at Helen Crisps review. Mine came like this and is the impossible part to clip back in. She had this happen on the second time of using it.

Already tried this out in the garden when there was a fair bit of wind. Simple to carry, put up, resilient, and it was even shower proof! Easy and quick to take down. It "unfolds" a bit like an umbrella. Very well made. Spacious. Three of us and the dog can get inside. Pockets for sand to "anchor" it down in the wind. Looking forward to trying it out on the beach later this year. Will report back. For now though, absolutely top marks. Recommended.Later edit. Took this to Cornwall to a very windy beach. It was perfect. It was brilliant at helping to stay cool in the bright sunshine. And it was shower proof too. Transporting it was easy, it's lightweight, and easy to carry. This is a top dollar product. Love it.

Need help getting the top struts back in.One came out on the 2nd time I put it back up....whilst (two of us) struggling with it another has popped out now! Cutting my husbands finger in process!Help!

This is a great pop up sun tent! My wee one sits in it with her toys and is safely away from the UV rays! One thing I would say I’m 5ft 4 and lean and struggle to put this up myself! My husband has no problems putting it up, but he’s not always at home when I need it. There’s been a few curse words said in the process of getting it popped up! Once it’s up however it’s fab!

Spacious easily portable lightweight opens closes easily (F) sturdy item good quality. Nice to have sand free space for bags drinks personal belongings. Privacy for changing too and quiet space to chill and UV Protection essential now. Took it to Greece temperatures were 37o sun burning but this was amazing shade after swimming (with a rash vest more UV protection)Worth every penny! Would highly recommend 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

A great replacement for our previous outsized "toddler" sun tent, the size both packed and when up is perfect for our family of two adults and two children and looks like it'll suit us for many years to come. Easy to put up and take down. The but / caveat is like others we have found it to be a little too sensitive to breezes / small gusts of wind but we'll try tuning that issue out by combining with a wind break next time.
