Seems legit to me!
I’ve had a legit 8 Hour lip balm previously purchased from EA - and this feels and smells the same. There are comments about the smell in other reviews- the smell is the same as the original 8 hour cream/balm, so not sure what people were expecting from an 8 hour EA product. Personally I like it, it smells and feels expensive and most importantly it does the job! Exactly what you expect from this icon line. I bought the sheer one, it didn’t come in a box (my legit one from EA didn’t either 🤷🏼♀️) but did come with an anti-tamper wrapper. V happy girly!

Effective lip moisturising
About as good as one can buy but it's expensive. Good quality and texture and lasts a little longer than others that I've try

Great.
Love! This is a staple! Leaves lips feeling soft and supple rather than greasy. Always recommend!

Doesn't dry out
I love this lip balm and have bought it multiple times and in different colours as well. Unlike other lip balms this one stays on for longer so there's no need to constantly reapply.

Decent lip moisturiser, better under and over lipstick than used alone as an overnight treatment
It's got castor oil and lanolin oil, on top of 30% petrolatum jelly (i.e. blue Vaseline), so it combines the occlusive, emollient and humectant properties of all 3. Some people get allergic reactions to lanolin so be careful. Doesn't seem bad on me though. Vaseline on its own is actually pretty effective for dry lips, but it is an occlusive and not a humectant - it stops moisture from lips evaporating into the air but doesn't really add any moisture to lips, so some other stuff is needed to add moisture to lips, especially if you have very dry lips. My lips got even drier as a result of perimenopause, so although petrolatum jelly used to be enough for me, now it's not quite. You don't get a lot of product for the money though - if you use the Elizabeth Arden stick daily, I think you will run out in a month or two. Vaseline can last for a very long time and only cost around £2 for a large jar. I used to put a layer of Vaseline on my lips before sleeping, but now I put a layer of this before putting Vaseline on my lips... I find this creates a better moisturising effect for my lips than Vaseline or using this Elizabeth Arden stick alone. I even now apply 3% hyaluronic acid on my lips now before putting this and Vaseline on my lips before bed, for even better hydrating effects. I use the Elizabeth Arden stick as a primer before putting on matte lipsticks (which are my favourite). Rather than just smearing it on my lips the usual way you'd apply lipstick - which produces too much of an oily sheen, I just blot it quite firmly onto my lips. Then I use a tissue to blot out any excess oiliness from it, before applying my lipstick. This way, it doesn't change the consistency of the lipstick. During the day when my lips feel dry again but the lipstick is still on, I again blot it on to the lipstick on my lips quite firmly. This does change the consistency or appearance of the lipstick, and is the most effective way to hydrate lips during the day when wearing matte lipstick. The smell of this stuff isn't very nice for a cosmetic product as it reminds me of the smell of equestrian stores. But it is actually pretty tasteless so it doesn't actually taste as bad as it smells. I do agree for the ingredients in this product, it does seem a bit overpriced. There are no fancy ingredients or vegetable or plant oils in this stick. Really, it's main active ingredients are what I mentioned above (castor oil, lanolin oil and petrolatum jelly) plus tocopherol (vit E) and beeswax , all extremely commonplace cosmetic ingredients that don't cost much, plus sun protection factor (padimate O and oxybenzone). It is in a very portable stick form so I like it better than fiddling around with jars of balm or Vaseline. Also has a high end appearance which I think many people would like. At Amazon the price is around half of what it costs in the high street, which makes it more worthwhile. Otherwise I probably wouldn't spend the actual price to pay for these kinds of ingredients. To be fair, I've found a good lip balm now that costs less than a quarter of the price of this - it's the O'Keeffe's Lip Repair (unscented) which does not produce any oiliness/sheen at all but does an even more amazing job at moisturising lips than the Elizabeth Arden eight hour lip balm stick, so I won't be repurchasing the Elizabeth Arden one anymore.

keeps lips from cracking
This is a really good lip moisturizer. I starting using it in the winter many years ago to keep my lips from cracking from the dryness. Now I can't live without it year round
