Huawei MediaPad M3 10" Lite Tablet - (Qualcomm Octa-core 1.4GHz, RAM 3GB, ROM 32GB, IPS-Display) - Grey

My wife has previously owned many tablet, her last one being a 2012 Samsung Galaxy 10.1" Note. That was a great tablet in its day and still the screen was beautiful to look at. However this tablet takes her level of enjoyment to another level. It is very responsive in use and whether she is playing her game or then going to YT or browsing the web it seems to react with the minimum of delay. Her previous Samsung tablet needed to be rebooted so often and it would still be very poor in its response, especially when used intensively for a few hours. The screen quality is as good as the Samsung's screen with bright and vivid colour, with great viewing angles. The sound is excellent, with great depth coming from its four speakers. The battery life seems good but that is not too important as my wife uses the tablet at home or when out always has an external charger with her. The WiFi is very good and quick. The storage capacity is great and has allowed her to install all the apps and games she needs. Whether it will get any more updates from Huawei or not this tablet has been an excellent buy and we have yet to find a game or app from the store that my wife would wish to use which doesn't work, and when they do they work very responsively. For what it cost the performance and build quality is excellent, especially when you consider that most 10" Android tablet development seems to have stagnated somewhat.

It's been some time since I had and used an Android device, so as much as being impressed by the look of this Tablet, I was intrigued to see how much the system had moved on. That said, the quality of this unit is just superb. The 1080p screen is crystal clear, the sound is superb from it's Harman Kardon audio system and quad speakers and the sheer power to handle multitasking is a chin dropper. The fingerprint sensor is fast and multifunctional and easy to set up and understand. The SD slot is still a winner for expanding storage and giving you flexibility. I've been using this unit for some weeks now - which I felt was justified before writing a review. Hats off to Huawei for producing such quality. Everywhere I travel now, this goes with me. The stated expected battery life is entirely accurate. I've had several questions about it's ability to play prime online media and TV channels and the answer is yes, it handles them beautifully. And it does it all at an amazing speed too! Pros: Build quality, that screen!, sound, speed, battery life, high speed charge ability, the SD slot, the onboard security....I could go on. Cons: Can't think of anything that would be worth including!

Nice tablet, runs fast, and is really great for the price. However, as it comes out of the box, a lot of the storage is taken up with the OS leaving around 20Gb + (sorry can't remember the exact figure, started using it before noticing!) for installing stuff. If you got an SD card with it (separate purchase) then you can save movies, books, music etc to the SD card, but it WON'T allow you to move apps to the SD card. This is a big failing on the part of Huawei and most other tablets do allow this functionality. It would appear the the only way to get around it is by some jiggery pokery (google search for huawei mediapad m3 lite can't use sd card as internal storage - and you'll find a very convoluted way to do it (can't post links on here!)), but otherwise it looks like you may have to root it if you're planning on actually using any more than a middling number of apps on this device. This is a real shame, because otherwise the tablet is a great performer, and should be a great buy - it's just that little extra it needs to make it perfect.

Works amazingly well! Super fast for work (doc and spreadsheet), super light on web, awesome battery life, goes for 6h+ skyping non-stop, fantastic display to use as eReader and is a super GPS. Photo quality is amazing (has no flash though) and the same is for the sound with 'proper' bass! Also got 200GB of SD card on it that works super fast, bt keyboard and mouse, etc etc etc. Fingerprint reader actually works and allows multiple profile record! Bottom line, great look aluminium body with awesome capabilities for the everyday regular Joe. Best bang for buck I've got hands on lately tablet wise!

Surprisingly good tablet.. This genuinely is a really good tablet, and when considering the price.. superb. Hardware is all good.. particularly the speakers, probably the best of any tablet I’ve tried (including apple). Feels very solidly built. After using it about a month now I have only two minor gripes: 1) the battery life is only “ok” and charging is not that quick. Ideally another 30% battery life and fast charge would make a big difference. 2 ) the position of the power button in the middle at the side makes it very easy to accidentally power off when you’re using it.. just a small frustration but could easily be remedied. Those two things not withstanding.. absolutely cracking little tablet, very pleased with it! 18 month update. Still working great, have since purchased the newer M5 and have relegated it to a drawer. This model is just better purely in terms of ease of use and fit in the hand. It’s a truly great little tablet. I wish Huewai would scrap the M5 and update this tablet instead with fast charge and better positioned power button. It’s still my go-to tablet over both the iPad and M5. Love it.

Stunning tablet with sensational sound. I'm using it more and more - weaning myself slowly from my trusty laptop. Certainly better than a Windows 10 machine - although I haven't printed from it yet. Sturdy construction, lightning fast and continuously updated without stopping for becoming slow or unresponsive or hours. Clarity of screen, incredible sound and with its included software (apps that I use - most Google apps I don't need or want but what's new?) it is a great buy and I prefer it to some of the other and certainly more expensive tablets I looked at or have tried. Main advantages - Word & Excel so I can take my work anywhere and no spinning dots, iTunes or Edge.

Superb in Every Way. Sound, speed, portability, response, picture, size, and software added. It's little wonder it was voted by far the best tablet in its price range. I also own a lenovo Pro 2 and a surface rt, but both were in need of repair after flood damage, so I quickly researched then purchased this for travel and presentations, I'm glad that I did, it's a far better tablet than the pair of them. It's superb, with an incredible battery life. Great supplier, arrived on time in perfect condition.

Being the owner already of Huawei Media Pad M3 8.4 WiFi model (not the lite version - but with 4 Gig Ram) I decided to complement this with the purchase of the Huawei Mediapad 10 lite tablet for Web browsing which I find strains my old pensioners eyes on the 8 inch screen. I was aware that the Huawei M3 10 inch lite could in no way match the excellent performance of the full powered M3 8 inch. So far, I am pleased with the performance which is adequate for this mid range tablet but there are no outstanding things about it other than cost, to make it stand out more than its competitors. Having experienced the full power of an octacore Kirrin processor in the M3 8 inch, the snapdragon octacore SOC (processor) in the M3 10 inch lite is showing its age. I bought my tablet for £209.00 I am happy at that price but would never consider paying almost £300 as originally shown on Amazon. A fair price for a fair tablet, although if you want true power and performance go for the full version not the lite.
