I had to service my bike in the summer so purchased a set of shifter cables. They come with all of the necessary ferrules and casings to get the job done. You will have to cut the cable and casing to the appropriate size for your bike, for which I highly recommend you get a dedicated cable cutter. Using pliers or other similar tool will result in a poor cut, increasing your chance of fraying and making life harder for yourself. Good value for money that will fit Shimano based ROAD shifters. Mountain bike shifters use different cables so make sure these are compatible with your group set. Installation is easy if you have the right tools. The easiest thing to do is copy the length and size of the cable housing that was previously on your bike and do a like for like swap. Just be careful not to over tighten the cable grip screw on your frame and derailleurs otherwise your cables will fray.

Straight forward to install, but only get 4 plastic covers so will need to reuse them for the outer e next to the rear derailer.
