Amazon Basics Cat 6 Ethernet Cable – RJ45, Gold-Plated, 1 Gbps, 3 m, Black

Needed a short patch cable to connect my NAS to my router, and this does exactly what it says on the tin. The 0.9m length was spot-on for my setup—no awkward excess or messy clutter. The build quality is great for the price: the connectors clip in solidly, and I’m getting full gigabit speeds with zero dropouts. At the end of the day, it's just a cable, but it's well-made, reliable, and excellent value for a few pounds.

Essential purchase for office net working

The Amazon Basics RJ45 CAT6 Gigabit Ethernet LAN Cable is a testament to the brand's commitment to delivering reliable products at an affordable price point. For those in need of a dependable wired connection, whether for gaming, streaming, or office work, this cable proves to be a worthy choice. Performance-wise, the CAT6 designation ensures that data transfer rates are up to par with modern standards. During my usage, connections were consistently stable, and the promised gigabit speeds were achieved without any hitches. The build quality is also noteworthy. The cable feels durable, and the connectors are well-fitted, ensuring a snug connection every time. The shielding on the cable is effective in reducing potential interference, which is crucial for maintaining a stable connection in environments with multiple electronic devices. This makes it suitable for both home and office setups. However, a minor area of improvement could be in the cable's flexibility. While the robust construction is appreciated for durability, it can be a tad stiff when trying to route the cable around tight corners or through cable management systems. In conclusion, the Amazon Basics RJ45 CAT6 Gigabit Ethernet LAN Cable offers solid performance and build quality, making it a great choice for most wired connectivity needs. While its rigidity might pose a slight challenge in specific setups, its overall reliability and performance make it a product deserving of a 4-star rating. If you're looking for a cost-effective solution to your Ethernet needs, this cable should be on your shortlist.

Additionally, the durable PVC outer jacket offers protection against wear and tear. However, it's essential to exercise caution when setting up this cable. 🚨 Some users have reported issues with the connectors not fitting snugly into certain network interfaces, leading to potential connectivity problems. It's crucial to ensure that the connector is fully inserted and securely locked in place for optimal performance. Another aspect to consider is the cable's longevity. Bought this together with the Amazon Ethernet adapter for my MacBook, and it works perfectly. The connection is stable and reliable, with no issues so far. I’ve been using this daily for a few months now since last year, and it’s held up really well without any problems. The cable feels decent in quality and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I also really like the black colour—it looks clean and matches well with my setup. Overall, a simple and dependable cable that gets the job done.

Needed a short patch cable to connect my NAS to the router and this does exactly what it says on the tin. The 4.3m length was perfect for my setup, not too much excess cable hanging about. The connectors clip in solidly and I'm getting full gigabit speeds through it without any dropouts. It's Cat6 so it's future proofed enough for home use and the flat design makes it easy to run along a skirting board or under a rug if you need to. For under eight quid you really can't go wrong with it. It's just a cable at the end of the day but a well made one.

This is a review of the AmazonBasics RJ45 CAT6 1Gbps Ethernet LAN Patch Cable They're well-built, look quite sturdy, and perform well. My only reservation is that the actual RJ45 transparent connector is partially covered in a rubbery shroud - as, indeed, are many types of Ethernet cable from other manufacturers. I bought four of these, all of which were to be plugged into my Virgin Media SuperHub 3 broadband router. Maybe the problem arises because the Ethernet ports on the router are a bit too close together, but what I found is that the (fairly thick) rubbery shroud makes it a tight fit to get the cables to plug into adjacent ports - to the extent that it was difficult to get the connector to lock into place. I'd prefer to use a cable that wasn't such a tight fit.

This product does what it is supposed to do. Nothing more, nothing less. Good.

As a crafting business owner and jeweler, I rely heavily on a stable internet connection for various tasks, from managing my online store to communicating with suppliers and customers. The AmazonBasics RJ45 Cat-6 Ethernet Patch Cable has been a decent addition to my workspace, providing reliable connectivity at an affordable price. First and foremost, the 10-foot length of this cable offers a decent range for connecting my devices to the internet router without being overly cumbersome. It's long enough to reach from my router to my desktop computer or laptop, providing flexibility in my workspace setup. In terms of performance, the cable does its job adequately. It delivers a stable internet connection, allowing me to browse the web, send emails, and upload product photos without experiencing any significant disruptions or slowdowns. While it may not offer the fastest speeds available, it meets my basic needs for everyday tasks. One aspect that I appreciate about this cable is its durability. The sturdy construction and quality materials give me confidence that it will withstand regular use without fraying or breaking easily. Plus, the molded strain relief design helps prevent damage to the cable ends, prolonging its lifespan. On the downside, the cable's basic design and lack of advanced features mean it may not be suitable for users with more demanding networking needs. Additionally, while the 10-foot length works for my current setup, some users may require longer cables for larger workspaces or home networks. Overall, the AmazonBasics RJ45 Cat-6 Ethernet Patch Cable serves its purpose as a reliable and affordable option for basic internet connectivity. While it may not offer the fastest speeds or advanced features, it gets the job done without breaking the bank—a solid choice for those on a budget.

This cat6 amazonbasics cable is pure copper (stranded of cource),i tried the burn test and the scrape test. most cables are CCA which are not durable and have high resistance (never use those especially if you need PoE). I got it for 350rs (50ft) which is a great deal imo. Definitley good quality cable. I've made few patch cords out of this (d link rj45 connector) and they are all working great at gigabit full duplex (10G might be possible but my hardware only supports 1G). I also have a cat5e 50ft from amazonbasics which i believe is actually CCA but i've been using it for more than 2 years, it is working fine so far (using it for a 100M lan non PoE).

I am very pleased with the Amazon Basics RJ45 Cat 6 Ethernet patch internet cable. It provides a simple and reliable way to connect devices to a wired network and delivers strong performance for everyday internet use. The 5 foot length is convenient for close range setups and helps keep my workspace organized. The speed improvement is noticeable compared to older Cat 5 cables. With support for up to 1 Gigabit per second, data transfers are fast and stable, which makes a big difference for streaming, online gaming, and large downloads. The connection feels consistent and does not drop, which improves overall network reliability. I also appreciate the gold plated connectors because they help ensure accurate data transmission and resist corrosion over time. This adds to the durability of the cable and gives me confidence that it will continue working well even with regular use. The universal RJ45 compatibility makes it easy to connect to a wide range of devices including computers, routers, printers, tablets, and gaming consoles. Overall, this is a high quality Ethernet cable that delivers excellent speed, stability, and durability. It is easy to use, works with many devices, and provides a noticeable improvement in network performance. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable wired internet connection.
