Best in the Business - Buy It
A requirement for a blood pressure monitor was needed for my dad, and the only brand I could think of was Omron. There was no option of choosing any other manufacturer. Omron are the leaders in this industry, and all medical facilities use this brand. The M3 intelli sense model was the best priced version when compared to the other offerings. It features an easy to use fascia with just one button. It takes 4 AA sized batteries and an input for a plug in adaptor, however the adaptor would need to be purchased separately if you require this option. It is easy to use and even has an indication to tell the user whether the arm band is tight enough around the arm. The device has memory for 2 users with a simple slide button to switch between the users. The blood pressure indicator is clear and precise on screen. The kit is extremely well built, and the quality shows. If looked after, it will last for years. Great bit of kit, forget the other fancy ones which have Bluetooth or phone app capability. This is all you need for an easy to use, no hassle blood pressure monitor device. Buy it.

Fantastic quality, simple to use - cuff suits all sizes.
Now of an age where I need to take more interest in my BP (!) I thought I'd invest in this when it was a lightning deal. I have to say, I'm so pleased with it that I'd have happily paid the normal price. The instructions are clear & easy to follow and within a few minutes of opening the box, I'd taken my first reading. All I needed to do was insert the included Duracell batteries (thanks, Omron for not supplying iffy generic batteries!); set the date and time; attach the air tube to the machine; wrap the cuff around my arm & press 'Start.' The reading is large and easy to read and there are clear warning lights/symbols if any of your measurements are outside the norm. The big plus of this machine is that the cuff accommodates a huge range of arm sizes. My arms are big & with many machines I'd have to buy a separate, extra-large cuff - but this would fit pretty well any arm, I imagine. I don't understand people's comments about the difficulty in attaching the cuff correctly. There is a warning light/cut out feature that prevents a reading if the cuff is attached too loosely - this is apparently because if it's too loose it can give a false reading. But it isn't a case, as one reviewer suggests, of having to position the cuff 'just so.' I've tried being fairly slapdash with it - & as long as the cuff is actually closed & tight enough, I got a reading every time. (And 'tight enough' doesn't mean circulation-stopping - I found quite a range of tightness to be accepted by the machine.) Depending on the battery performance, I may order the mains adaptor from Omron. This looks strong and sturdy and looks like it's built to last. Highly recommend!

Brilliant.....
I purchased the “Omron Healthcare M3 Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor” because I had high blood pressure due to another medical issue, the hospital advised me to either purchase a monitor or visit the nurse at my local GP surgery a couple of times a week which I didn’t fancy doing. This monitor is brilliant and so simple to use, there is a switch that allows you to record the pressure of 2 people if required. The upper arm cuff slides on simply and if incorrectly positioned the unit will advise you, the cuff also allows use on small to large arms, I have used this on my 10 year old son and my 43 year old arm and even on mine there is a lot of space for larger arms. The monitor will alert you if your blood pressure is outside the normal range, until I had these problems I had no idea what the normal range is. The monitor takes 4 AA batteries which are included, it also has a port to allow connection of a 6V DC adapter but you will have to purchase this separately. This product has saved me so much time and the boredom of being sat in the GP surgery waiting for my blood pressure to be tested so it is the best £35 I have spent in a long time.

Good machine, easy to use and designed to be pretty much foolproof
Great BP monitor, easy to use and I found the cuff very comfortable. I have slightly larger arms so it is great to have a cuff that is sized for both smaller and larger arms rather than having to buy an extra cuff. I found it reassuring to have the OK light on the machine that tells you if you have wrapped it to the right tightness as well. And will give you an error if it's too loose...too many machines will just give you a reading anyway even though it's bound to be inaccurate. For me, monitoring at home unsupervised, this made things a bit more foolproof! It also tells you if you moved too much during the reading. The only issue I had with this machine is that I cannot take readings from my left arm - it gives me an error. I previously ordered the M6 Omron machine and sent it back because of the same issue. When I got this one (M3) it did the exact same thing which then led me to think that the machine wasn't the problem...it must be something about my arm and the way it takes the measurement (I've had more than one phlebotomist tell me I have weird, deep veins lol!!). As soon as I swapped to the right arm it worked completely normally time after time giving consistent readings. So I always take the reading from the right arm now which my GP says is fine. Overall very happy with it.

Very good monitor.
Bought to check my blood pressure regularly as mine is high and I'm on medication for it. The unit is very similar to the one my doctor uses. It is very easy to use and I like the fact that it has a light to confirm you have the cuff on correctly. It also has a symbol come up if you move, warning you that the reading may not be accurate. Also a warning light comes on if your blood pressure is high. I take my blood pressure 3 times and 5 minutes apart to see how I'm doing but you can set it to work out an average reading for you if you wish. The cuff will fit a wide range of arm sizes and is very easy to fit. It all fits neatly into the bag provided. The unit seems very well built and is being sold for a really good price on here. Wish I'd bought one before to keep an eye on my blood pressure. Very happy indeed with this purchase.

Simple, convenient and, best of all, accurate.
Convenient, simple and accurate, this 'Omron M3 Intellisense' upper-arm-cuff blood pressure monitor tells us what we need to know to be able to maintain a regular record of our heart rate and blood pressure. You can believe the blurb above on the Az page. The two sets of up to 60 stored readings allow two individuals to compare their own previous readings at consistent different times of day on other days, which is useful when collating lifestyle against heart health. Any more info would require a visit to the doctor or a hospital with much more detailed expert analysis. Alas, it does not have an electronic export facility to be able to import the data to a spreadsheet, for example if a close watch needed to be kept on the blood pressure trends; that data transfer needs to be done manually. We compared this against our trusty old Omron M5-1 (upper arm cuff), which at the time we bought it was the same as that used by our Doctor. The readings agree close enough to be confident in its use. The new M3 monitor has an added facility in the irregular heartbeat symbol and also better error reporting, including 'incorrect fitting' and 'moving during the reading' etc. The great advantage of having one’s own monitor is that ‘at rest’ readings can be taken at home at regular times when not stressed or suffering from the ‘white coat effect’ of being in a medical establishment. The collection of instruction leaflets (each one a different language) included with the monitor are comprehensive with clear diagrams, have print big enough to read, and should be followed. This makes a welcome change from so many pieces of modern equipment that need a magnifying glass to discover how to use them. Having two units now allows us to have one each, and no longer wondering whose readings are in the memory. The main problem is that because it is so convenient to use and has the more useful dual memory we both prefer this new one! Accuracy is good until the battery goes low, then there might be a shock, as I found this morning with 205/120, then I noticed the ‘low battery’ symbol had not gone out and was active. Four new alkaline AA cells (instead of the supplied zinc carbon) took it back to a normal healthy set of values.

Brilliant
Brilliant little piece of kit for the health conscious. I have a family history of chronic diseases concerning the heart and this gives me the peace of mind that I'm looking after myself for very little money. It's easy to start up and use, can store information for two people (you can measure more than two with the "Guest" feature but you would have to track those readings manually as it doesn't store this information) and it takes up hardly any room in it's handy little travel case. You don't have to be tech savvy to set up or use the device either, and nor do you have to be a Doctor to understand the results. If you readings are too high, or low, it will let you know and it even has the ability to detect irregular heart beats and if the device has been put on correctly or not for the most accurate readings. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Very pleased indeed with this so far
My husband and I have both had highish bp readings at gp, who suggested we monitor at home. Very pleased indeed with this so far. It seems to have proved what the gp suspected in my case, that I have "white coat syndrome" so my bp is on the high side when doc measures it (often 145+ / 100+) but quite normal when I do it (116/81 yesterday. We suspected this might be the case as there's a machine in the surgery waiting room, I'd use that while waiting for appointment and get low/normal reading, then very high reading 10 mins later in the gp room! So this could well have saved me from going on medication unnecessarily. Husband not so lucky though, his readings still on the high side at home, which is final proof for him that he needs to lose weight to lower his bp, so very helpful all round. Seems very sturdy and well made, hope it will last us for years. Like fact it has memory for up to 60 readings for 2 people and a guest function so others can use it without storing their readings. Also great as it traces your heartbeat and gives a warning signal if any irregularities detected. Great piece of kit and very pleased went for the slightly more expensive model.
