21 in 1 Opening Pry Tool Kit for Smart Phone Disassembly and

I bought this because I needed to remove a laptop cover that was proving to be particularly tricky & I was concerned that I may have damaged it using the one plastic tool that I had plus other items that were to hand. I initially looked at some of the cheaper options but opted for this one as it was only a couple of pounds more & included many more items. I'm sure that I made the right choice. Not only did the items in this kit enable what initially appeared to be a very difficult task fairly easily to complete, but I'm sure that the huge variety of items included will be useful in all kinds of similar operations in the future. It includes quite soft plastic to very hard plastic & also metal tools, plus very fine tipped tweezers etc. For the small additional cost when compared to the other kits on offer, it could easily save a laptop or phone case from damaged or even completely broken.

These tools are okay but be prepared to throw them away after one use - they bend and the thin edges burr over too easily. If you are prepared to accept that then these are a good buy at the price. It took me three tools to open a Samsung Galaxy Tablet so I could change the battery; by saving myself £30 as quoted by a local shop I was happy to waste 3 tools....... Your choice!! UPDATE 07/10/2018: I was contacted by the seller who was worried by my review - they were clearly anxious that I was not delighted and wanted to make amends, and offered to send me another set of tools, which although were exactly the same a before I now have a spare set to use. Top marks for the supplier who clearly care about customer happiness, so an extra star for them!

I have used this kit several times now to do maintenance on a few of my tablets, the tools make it so easy as they are perfect for the job. Replacing a battery is far easier than I thought it would be with these tools. I would recommend them to anyone who needs to open their phone / tablet for basic maintenance. Most useful tools I have bought this year.

A comprehensive collection of every concievable tool necessary for the removal of phone or tablet components. I used this kit to remove the rear panel and battery from my Samsung Galaxy Tab S tablet, and it performed the task with relative ease. 95% of the tools are plastic moulded and designed for prizing the rear panels without shorting circuits or damaging the delicate electrical components built into your tablet or phone. Tweezers, various pry tools looking very like guitar plectrums, sucker tools for screen replacement, an anti static cleaning cloth, and various impliments for the delicate task of screen, battery, and intricate plug removal are included in this first rate kit. I cannot recommend this toolkit highly enough other than to say that you will probably not find a better kit on the market for this price. Good quality and well thought out, i've given it a 10 out of 10 rating, and i'm highly satisfied with the result of my repair.

Purchased to remove bezel on a Kindle Paperwhite so as to replace original battery. They did the job but too many of the tools are simply too thick and made of plastic which is easily distorted, even by other plastics, because it is is just too soft. That said, the set is extremely comprehensive and includes a couple of excellent items that are worth the price of the whole set because of what they can achieve - even if the majority of the set was consigned to the bin. If you need to replace a Kindle battery, there is an excellent double ended metal tool within this set that is strong enough to defeat the needless and excessive bonding that Amazon use in their attempt to make their product non-maintainable. Could the set be much better and made of harder materials - a subjective yes. Does it do the job for which I selected it - a proven yes. 3 Star territory but still a good product on balance

For £6 this kit really does contain a lot of high-quality items. The two sets of metal tweezers and the metal shim are great. Other reviewers have pointed out the plastic parts are fairly soft but that's entirely the point. If they were hard they would scratch up the items you are trying to open. The kit contains duplicates of the most useful tools so even if one does wear out there's a replacement. Overall I think the number of tools you get and the quality of the metal ones makes this incredibly good value for money.

Whilst these tools are not particularly brilliant in their “finish”, which is quite poor, the actual tools per se, work perfectly well and are as described for the purpose they are designed for. Hence, as long as you don’t care about how beautiful the tools look visually, then quite frankly at this price you can’t go wrong. Super fast delivery and all items present, complete and fictional.

Used this to disassemble an old ACER laptop to replace the hard drive, these plastic pry tools really help in springing the keyboard and covers apart from the body and also in removing the really tiny cables from their connectors. Most importantly they allow you to prise cases apart without damage so really an essential tool. This kit contains enough different types to overcome all the issues met with the laptop, sure it would be fine for phones too.
