Bought this for my 2 year old daughter who is totally obsessed with the moon. It's `moon' this, `moon' that... she spends all her time looking up in the night sky for it and the rest of the time spotting it on her favourite TV shows and movies. It was one of her first words. So this novelty light was ideal for her. The techie bit, in very basic terms: it's battery powered (batteries seem to last forever, so no problem there) and easily wall mountable (as easy as a clock) and comes with a neat little remote control for you to sit back and switch through the lunar phases at your own pleasure. You can choose to have the moon on whatever `lit' position you want, or choose for it to cycle through them continuously. It switches itself off after about half an hour or so. My little girls little face lit up when she saw it for the first time hanging on her bedroom wall - she needed a new night light and this was just perfect. She enjoys laying down with a drink in the dark and playing with the controller. She will stare at this thing for ages until she eventually drifts away. One ever-so-slight bad point (is `bad' even a fair word to use here?) As the surface of the moon is lit with a light which is underneath its centre it does tend to look brighter in the middle and dimmer towards the edges. But really, it doesn't matter, and I feel like a goon for even bothering to mention it, but hey, it's an observation. In a darkened room it lights up nicely and the detail on the textured surface really looks extremely groovy. All in all a very good purchase - especially for my lunar obsessed little monster.

Bought this for a friend's Halloween display. Looks great, and the moon phases added an extra element to the display. She did say it was disappointing that the moon only stayed lit for 30mins and then had to be switched on again, but apart from that she was happy with the purchase

What a purchase!! Definitely one of the best features in our sons bedroom (4yr old). He loves it! He would insist on the bedside light being on but now will happily nod off with this on. It turns itself off after 30 mins which is a great feature for bedtime. You can choose to have it fixed on one specific moon type or have it so that it goes through the full cycle on a loop. It also has a remote control which makes it even more fun for him plus no need to be able to reach it to turn it on or off. The photos do not do it justice for how effective and realistic it actually looks. Would highly recommend!

Lovely little item. Gives the option to change to different lunar transitions & alter the brightness. Has a handy little remote & timer & just looks really nice when mounted on the wall.

Really lovely little light. My youngest is planet and moon obsessed and this is perfect, she loves seeing it cycle through the moon phases.

First one we received arrived broken with the on off button broken, was gutting as Christmas, but heyho it happens.... got it exchanged fast with no issues, new one works perfectly as it should.... now it's not an amazing light but my grandson loves it as it's a moon and hes obsessed with planets, he would like it even if it didn't work just as a decoration on his wall... but bonus it works........ way i see it is ... got a child thats obsessed, don't worry if it stops working, works wonderfully just as a wall decoration and is still worth keeping.

Mein Sohnemann liebt den Mond - leider sind sooo viele Wolken zur Zeit draußen das er ihn selten sieht. Also gab es als Abhilfe zu Weihnachten diese Lampe. Kann nur sagen: Einfach toll. Funktionen 1 a - könnte ein wenig weicher leuchten aber egal - sieht super aus.

Un regalo simpatico per il mio nipotino, oggetto utile perché va a sostituire la lampada notturna per bimbi. La cosa bella è che si può appendere a parete e produce una luce regolabile per nulla fastidiosa. Il telecomando facile da usare non ha una grande estetica ma funziona bene.
