Does this product come with a warranty?

Not a specific warranty that I can recall but it is well made and can be returned to Amazon if faulty. If it is not faulty it should last for many years.

Can this replace the old AFv40100 unit without taking whole tank off? Does the valve fit into the same lower mounting?

I can't remember the part number, but I only changed the top part. It said it fits other older models

Can’t see how to twist and lock this in, the new one has a long thread at the base

hi sounds like you ordered the wrong one after 1/4 twist and pull out the old one lust fit new one in the hole push and 1/4 twist new one should be in ok hope this helps

Hi - not sure, but on Amazon if you type in afv50100 you will find the correct one, although they do look similar I can't imagine why two versions of the same valve would be produced .
