Elegant, accurate, hassle-free and versatile
Bought this to monitor humidity and temperature for my mandolin in its hard case. It's ideal. Setup was a breeze ( both on my iPad and my android phone); readings very accurate (compared to a recently fully calibrated Kestrel weather device). The Bluetooth range is impressive. Compact size is great for an instrument case. The battery supposedly should last about a year, so no recharging hassles, no sockets to get damaged or cables to lose, and battery replacement looks easy. The app is clear and elegant. There is a facility to email yourself a Csv file of all data for use in a spreadsheet. There are cheaper options for this type of monitoring, but this is top notch. Apparently there are plans for a wifi bridge, which might be useful for some users who need to monitor when away from the sensor location (the device itself retains about 2 weeks worth of data). When Amazon was out of stock of this item, I contacted SensorPush and they got back to me immediately with accurate information about the restock date: so all the signs of excellent customer service. I will update in a few months time on long term performance, but for now I am completely satisfied.

Great product for monitoring humidity & temperture in Motorhomes & Caravans
Bought this because Winter was coming and everything in my Motorhome felt damp! Glad I did because it revealed that humidity was at 78.8% which is a mould inducingly high level of humidity! The unit was very easy to set up - just downloaded the app and paired it with my iPad & iPhone - then fixed it on the inside of our Motorhome, which is parked on our driveway outside our home - I can now easily check that the heater and dehumidifier I have bought from Amazon are working + can set alarms in case either the temperature or humidity drops or increases above or below my pre-set limits - very useful. The excellent dehumidifier I have bought is the Meaco DD8L Junior - Dessicant Dehumidifier which sits on the Motorhome kitchen unit draining into the sink. This dehumidifier is one which works down to 1C and is a Sailing Today Best Buy & PBO best on Test for boats. Hope you find this helpful.

Great Product. Subtle room for improvement with the App.
Great product. I ordered one and I'm going to order a second. Works right out of the box (as soon as you download the app). I love being able to see the data on a graph. I have two suggestions for improvement with the app though, which are: 1) Able to scan the data left and right. For example, if I'm looking at the data from the last hour, but want to see the data from the previous hour, it seems intuitive to simply swipe horizontally across to see it. Currently though, if I want to view this data, I either have to select the 24 hour viewing mode (which now greatly compresses that information) or import it onto my computer. 2) Provide the option to see the Absolute Humidity (in addition to the Relative Humidity). For example, when the heat comes on, the relative humidity goes down, since the air can now hold more water, but the amount of water in the air hasn't changed. Perhaps you could double tap the Relative Humidity Graph, which could flip the graph around to present the absolute humidity instead, and vice versa. Anyway, as I said, fantastic product. I highly recommend one. I've shown a few friends and they were impressed too.

Easy to use, accurate, reliable
I bought this sensor nearly 2 years ago for indoor use, because I wanted to see the trends in temperature and humidity in a specific room. It has served me well ever since - no battery change required yet. It's very simple to set up and use, and I'll certainly be buying more if/when my data logging needs expand. I didn't have to perform any calibration, as occasional tests against high accuracy equipment showed me it was quite good at its job without it. One downside is that the phone won't connect to the sensor automatically unless you open the app (presumably to save battery life), so I do have a gap over the summer when I forgot about it for a few months - the backlog of something more than 20 days helped bridge that, but wasn't quite enough. Still, that's my own fault for forgetting, not the product's! They made the WiFi Gateway partly to avoid data loss, but I've decided my need for that is not great enough at this point. Pros: - easy to set up - easy to use - accurate - long life - good app interface, allows for viewing of all the data (I know a cheaper similar product only shows up to the last 100 days, for example, which is just... strange?) - 20 day internal backlog is pretty good (again, the cheaper similar product I've seen needs to connect daily) - can export data to CSV files (and view with your favourite spreadsheet tool) Cons: - can lose data if you forget about it for too long (unless you also have the WiFi Gateway) - not waterproof (so you probably want something more robust for outdoor use) - not the cheapest

No maintenance, accurate, simple.
(April 2019, 2 YEAR update! - Both sensors are still going strong, with a battery voltage of around 2.8 volts (I thought the battery lasted only 1 year? double that, and no sign of low battery). One's in the work office, and one's in my bedroom, over 600,000 readings for each. The app works fine with this much data on the Android system, and the CSV files export fine into Excel. NO crashes, NO needing to remove/insert the battery, not once, The Android app's never crashed. These ARE expensive, but I got what I paid for, and they do that very very well.) The device is simple to get started with - you download the App for Android, or iPhone, run it, and drop the thermometer block on your screen for a few seconds. That's it. Whenever you open the program, it reads all the temperatures and humidities that were collected since the last sync up. There's a new "Sync station" that picks up all your devices temperatures, and sends them to the gadgets website - where you can see them. It uses your existing WiFi network to send the data to the website, and the Low Energy Bluetooth connection between the WiFi and gadget. Info (pros): The battery lasts 1 YEAR, and can be replaced easily (no screws, just a plastic card like a credit card). The device can store AT LEAST 20 days of temperature and humidity - MORE if the temp doesn't change often, as it only stores temp changes and their date/time. You can CALIBRATE the device (instructions on the website). You can EXPORT all the readings your phone has picked up as an Excel compatible CSV file. You can give each sensor a name. The syncing distance is as good as claimed - it syncs across my house. (Cons): Temperatures are lost when it's re-calibrated. £50 at time of this review... Oww! . (But if you want "It just works!" - this is the device for you) The device IS NOT waterproof. But you can put it in a baggie. No direct-to-PC syncing.(For devices scattered around the house for example)

Perfect sensor
Great product and user interface. Simply pop it where you want to measure temperature / humidity and monitor its output to your heart's content, graphically or export a spreadsheet of all the collected data. The only issue currently is SensorPush - if you leave SensorPush turned on (the bluetooth link between your phone and the sensor) and you are within range of the device, it eats through your battery on your phone with the minute by minute updates. Being in the same room with the sensor, over 24 hours my phone battery normally reduces from 100 to 50% in a day. With SensorPush on it has reached 10% by evening. The manufacturers are aware of this issue and are saying they will fix this problem at some point. Until then I have to manually turn bluetooth off and back on every time I want to get the latest temperature data. Brilliant apart from this. Updated 2020 An update fixed the battery bug. Then some issue occurred that stopped it communicating. Customer support at SensorPush was brilliant and they sorted it out. I have two of these sensors and they simply work perfectly, recording and graphing the temperatures for years now. Deservedly upgraded it to 5 stars.

Doesn't work over WiFi
I purchased this item to connect over my WiFi netwrok so that the family can access the data. The description doesn't state that it's only bluetooth and if you want to connect to WiFi, you have to purchase one of their gateways (not available in the UK and costs $99 + delivery from outside). Seems a good unit but very misleading description and instructions non existent). Also, you are not made aware of this until you install the app and switch off bluetooth connectivity. You also need a gateway to create an account through the app!

Excellent but with range issues
This device together with the WiFi Gateway gives me all the information and alerts I need for my wine cellar. Temperature and humidity readings can be calibrated for accuracy. The major issue I have is with the extremely poor range probably because the cellar is fully insulated. The Gateway struggles to receive the readings from the sensor from less than 5 metres away just the other side of the wall/door with nothing else in the way. They communicate via a version of bluetooth which clearly cannot cope with the insulation. This means I have had to buy separate Gateways for the sensors in each of my cellars to get reliable readings. If you’re using this setup where insulation isn’t an issue then I would recommend this setup without reservation. By the way, support from the US is exemplary.
