Great stuff - works well and is easy to use and not messy
I've used this twice now, once to dye a polycotton sweatshirt and linen/polyester mix trousers - both worked well, just a bit lighter than you would get with a pure cotton or linen. Next I dyed a cotton sheet and pillowcases which came out really well. It is much easier now that salt is included. Basically you just pre-wash the items, then do a 40 degree wash with the dye in the machine, then do a wash with a bit of washing powder added, finally wash the empty machine. There was no mess at all. I think it says to use rubber gloves but I didn't need to - I just cut open the pack and it was easy to put the dye into the machine without touching it. Although it says to used the full programme, I must admit I used a quicker (1 hour) wash, and for the pre-wash I just rinsed as I knew the things had been washed a lot so would be fine. I had no problems at all, most of the things I dyed have been washed since and didn't fade or colour other things. I would definitely use again. Pewter Grey is a nice darkish grey.

Did the trick! Make sure you rinse your machine after though!!
Really easy to use. Just pour it in the washing machine drum with the fabric and you're away. Remember it's colour mixing not colour bleaching so unless you use a true white fabric it will blend the colours. I used an off white colour with the tropical green and got a pastil green in the end which I'm still pleased with as I'm using it as a green screen. Note: It took 3 washes after the 2 wash cycles it suggests so 5 in total to clear the green from the system. It says you don't need to rinse wash but I tested that out and I'm pleased I didn't do a wash straight after. Could be my piece of crap washing machine, or maybe not. Be warned. When the fabric came out it didn't look like it had taken all over the sheet but as it dried it was an even coverage. Note, the dye works best with organic materials such as cotton so the higher cotton percentage the better the colour hold will be. Anything less than around 60% cotton wont' really work .Even with 100% cotton, any stitching in it will likely be nylon or polyester which won't dye. Easy to use, no need for salt. One box will dye 600g of fabric. You can go upto 1.2kg of fabric but will achieve lighter shades as the weight of fabric increases. I used 725g of fabric and got a good colour match (read above). You can dye multiple times though. but only 1 box at a time.

Brilliant coverage of colour
I used this to dye my very faded caravan curtains. The product was easy to use even though instructions were a bit vague. I just weighed the curtains, wet them in my sink, popped them in the washing machine and added the dye. Washed on a 30 degree wash then washed again after as normal. The colour was brilliant and has taken very well to these heavy draylon curtains. Do not overload the fabric weight if you want a dark colour. The colour came out perfectly for me, nice and even coverage. I’ve since brought again in Black for my hand towels and again I’ve had a good depth of even coverage. Just be sure that when you do your next ordinary wash that you do a dark wash as there is a possibility of small residue dye left behind, in other words do not do a white wash after!!

Brilliant dye, but colours very confusing to buy.
Colour was paler than I expected. It is really a challenge buying dye over the internet when you are not given comparisons. If you look at all the various greens, many look exactly the same colour on the box in the picture on the internet. Only with dark green do you know for certain it will be dark. It would be VERY helpful if Dylon put up a colour chart with the box of dye, so you can see a little square of all the different greens. This way you could pick the one you want. It's impossible the way it is sold now as you have to make a wild guess with no guidance what so ever! However, I can't give a rating of less than 4 because Dylon dye is brilliant dye. Colours are rich, dying procedure is so simple a child could do it, colours last for ever and hardly run at all after you've dyed something, and within 2 or 3 washes, never run again.

Easy to use and great colour depth
Really pleased with each box of this purple washing machine dye, would buy again. Did not overload the machine per sachet - a fantastic set of results on towels. A milder but still rich change for a cotton bedding set (pillows and sheet).

GREAT!
I used the velvet black dye to recolour 2 pairs of black top man jeans which always seem to lose their colour fairly quickly. So rather than forking out £40 to buy one new pair I decided to dye them. Really simple, washed the jeans first to clean them, then put the dye in with the damp jeans and put on a cotton cycle at 40 degrees. And they came out great! Did another cycle as instructed, with detergent this time. Air dried them and they look fab. I will have to see how the colour holds up in future washes. WORD OF CAUTION: the dye does leave a dark residue on the seal of the dryer. I got this off easily with a damp cloth and some bleach then rinsed the bleach away. ALSO, please check under the seal, there was a lot of dark dye under the seal where the water is drained. I have seen negative reviews saying that people's clothes were stained even after doing another cycle while the machine was empty. I think it is because people don't check the seal. After doing this, I did a test wash with a white shirt I don't care about and it came out fine! So please do check you have no residue to save yourself the aggro of having your other clothes ruined.

Never Again! Dye runs even after multiple rinsing.
The instructions were in French and German but no English so I had to look them up online - but this is probably down to the seller's supply chain. It seemed simple enough; pop item to be dyed in the washing machine, add Dylon contents (no need to add salt), put on a long wash at 40 degrees. The trousers I was dyeing were red and were to be re-dyed the same colour (they had faded over time). The trousers came out well dyed but I immediately noticed the red dye coming off on my hands. I rinsed at least five times in cold water in the sink but still the dye was pouring out, at which point I gave up and made a mental note not to sit down in them on my cream sofa! Then I put my machine on an empty wash at 40 degrees as per instructions. After this had finished, there was so much red dye still around the rubber seal and door that it took me half an hour to clean off and then I needed to put the machine on another empty wash again. I can't imagine being able to wash my whites again for at least another half a dozen washes. Not impressed. I shall use the old fashioned tried and tested method next time of a hand-wash dye and bucket.

Ottimo prodotto!

TOP
Sehr gutes Farb Ergebnis, zum Färben kein weiteres Salz erforderlich, man solle nicht zuviel Wäsche verwenden, dann eher "komisch" grau

Buen producto. Lo recomiendo
Buen producto.

Peccato
