i'm a size 10, in my experience these sorts of socks shrink a bit after washing, with this in mind do you recommend i buy 11-13 or is 8-10.5 fine?

I would recommend that anyone that is over a size 9 to get the 11-13 size. There is always shrinkage. Also if you are not line drying then any tumble drier will shrink these socks further.

Does anyone wear these for playing football? Wondering how these might be (compared to double layered socks) with all the sharp changes of direction.
