115 True-RMS Digital Multimeter

After many years of using cheap multimeters (both analogue and digital) for hobby electronics projects I recently decided to go upmarket to obtain higher accuracy and greater confidence in the readings when testing circuits. I chose a Fluke meter because I wanted a respected name behind my new purchase and the 115 was one of their most reasonably priced general purpose instruments. The meter arrived quickly and it was immediately obvious that this is a class apart from the budget meters I have used in the past. The display is very clear, the functions are comprehensive and the device has a robust quality feel about it. The standard probes are of matching quality with very flexible leads. The input impedance is around 10Mohm, a typical value for a good quality digital meter. Overall I am very pleased with my choice and although it was a lot of money to spend on a meter for hobby use I am confident it will give many years of service. (I should point out that I have no connection with Fluke and the purchase was not subsidised).

top meter but the capacitance tester is a little shaky (need solid firm contact) and could really do with a mA range at this price point. No complaints, nice probes, typical fluke great build quality and it feels solid as a rock! this meter spanks my more expensive snap on meter i have at work and now regret buying that but it does have the mA range at least. I could not justify spending any more than what this fluke costs for a meter to use on home projects but really wanted to try a fluke and am not disappointed! It even has a back light for when you are in dark spaces.

Great multimeter but expensive

Whilst the title of my review is not always the case, it is true in this instance. This is a quality unit that should give many years of reliable service. The specification will speak for itself but the build quality deserves particular mention. The switching is precise; the lead plugs make positive contact; the leads are strong and yet pliable with rubber covered grips for feel and positive hold. The case and protective cover are well made and fit into the hand nicely. Auto ranging is helpful. I can't fault this multimeter and recommend it - worth the extra cost.

Documents state warranty and calibration certification is only Valid in India

I am new to electronics and this unity is absolutely wonderful. Easy to use, clear big screen and flexible, sturdy wires. Use it nearly daily for Arduino type stuff and haven't found an issue yet. A strange thing to say but a good beep when using continuity mode.

As the tin said, the quality of Fluke products remains high. This is a real solid piece of kit. I’ve had it for a day and I’m well impressed so far!

Seller was great and the item priced at a very competitive price! As for the Meter, i would not bypass Fluke for any other brand! Reliability and quality are second to none
